Had a great experience staying here in late May - great location to use as a base camp to get into Shenandoah as well as the town of Luray. Room was clean/comfortable, the location was quiet/peaceful and the owner as well as the Innkeeper Gregory were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious too, great add on value for the stay price.

I highly recommend Mayneview B&B. Gregory was a wonderful host. He cooked us excellent breakfast on both mornings of our stay. The house was extremely clean. The house was also very charming and full of history. The views were breathtaking. I would highly recommend the property! True Gem!

We stayed in the cottage and it was lovely. The kitchen was well equipped. The bathroom was spacious. The back deck was a nice place for a glass of wine. The property was immaculate.

Great weekend at Mayneview. Gregory was very accommodating and made us a delicious breakfast early before our morning hike. The hot tub and fire pit were great for relaxing.

The view from the house is absolutely beautiful. The manager was fantastic. The house is historic and beautiful. Great place for a romantic getaway or rent the whole house for the family!

We were there this past weekend so I could do the Shenandoah half marathon. My plans changed and I needed a place and this place was open. After staying here, I cannot believe there was availability. This is truly a gem. Greg greeted us and gave us excellent recommendations for dinner. We had told him we had other plans and he steered us into another direction which we were so happy about. The place was absolutely beautiful, clean and had everything that we could possibly need. The breakfast was fabulous. I highly recommend anyone who is visiting in the area to enjoy this gem.

I recently stayed at a charming bed and breakfast just outside the Shenandoah Mountains in Luray, Virginia, and it was an exceptional experience. The innkeepers were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond with their recommendations for local hikes and dining options. Breakfast each morning was a highlight—easily some of the best I’ve had, with a variety of delicious, homemade dishes.
The rooms and property had a delightful historical colonial charm, adding to the overall cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The town of Luray itself is a gem, with plenty of great food and drink spots, and the locals were all very warm and welcoming. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with plenty of character, this is the place to be. Highly recommended!

The bed was soooo comfortable! Awesome breakfast, lovely house and grounds. Easy to make yourself at home. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Mayneview is a phenomenal bed and breakfast. The home is the perfect merging of old quaint fixtures with updated amenities. The waterfall shower was luxurious and the views of the Blue Ridge Mountains are spectacular. The bed was very comfortable and the TV had streaming services. Gregory was extremely helpful, accommodating, and he made the most delicious breakfasts. We are eager to plan our next trip and stay at the Mayneview B&B. If you are going to be in the area this B&B is where you should stay.
Walkability: The location was situated to enjoy spectacular views and easily walk into town.

The house is beautiful, the views are fantastic and the area is wonderful. What really brought it all together, though, was the absolute champion of an innkeeper, Gregory. You can tell he honestly enjoys what he does, and he really does it all! From his professionalism in booking and pre-stay communications, to the gorgeous remodeling work he's done, to the outstanding breakfast and desserts he made, Gregory really made our stay special.
I cannot recommend Mayneview B&B enough, and my wife and I will absolutely be back!

Really enjoyed our stay, awesome extras (hot tub, firepit, smores) - thank you! Rooms were clean and well-stocked. Other guests were fun and pleasant. Tons of hikes in the area, nearby coffee and pizza. We hope to be back one day! Shout out to Gregory for being a great host and even customizing breakfast to suit our needs (vegetarian).

If you are visiting Luray, this is the place to stay! This inn is perched on a hillside with the most perfect view of the town and mountains. There is a detached porch area with hot tub and fire pit, perfect spot to read in the mornings and sit by the fire in the evenings. There were lots of nice touches, packets of seeds for guests to take home and fresh treats baked each day. Beds were very comfortable and breakfast was delicious and sustaining for a day of hiking in the park. Bryce was very knowledgeable about the park and things to do in the area and made several great recommendations. We had a fantastic stay!
