It's Wally World. Was stunned they were out of firewood. That's a rarity, but it lead to unnecessary driving. The point of Walmart is one stop shopping. They also didn't have some basic home utensils. I'm not sure what's going on. Maybe the holidays and supply side issues. Glad it is here for groceries, and almost everything under the sun. That's where it does shine, and the pricing is very competitive. Employees were friendly. Less self checkouts here, which is my opinion helps. The store itself is well organized. I like the cleanliness. That alone plus savings, makes it a winner in quite a few categories.

They don't enforce mask rule. Saw many able bodied people not wearing masks & no one said anything. Also no one kept their distance. Really sad how selfish people are.

I have been going here for over a year now and reading the other reviews, I feel like they left a lot out. 1. This place is small compared to most Walmart's. This means you have very little options and won't find anything your looking for. Minimal basics. Here's the deal though, this Walmart is wayyyyy over populated with people so it's not small because it's a small town. No, it's small and has a huge amount of customers. That being said, they are always out of stock on things, even before Covid-19. This Walmart is the closest Walmart for the next 4 or so towns. 2. They are always short on staff. Either that or they don't efficiently use their staff. I asked for help at the jewelry department and I waited for an hour (bothering the customer support 100 times) before I got help. This goes for the paint, electronics, crafts, and sporting goods area too. Cashiers are very little as well. 3. Self checkout is card only so waiting in line for a cashier will waste another hour. With COVID-19, peoples carts are much more full and you can't blame the cashier on how long that takes. 4. There is no online shopping and in store pickup. Not a big deal, but they are extremely bad about keeping up with their stock online so making a shopping list on Walmart.com for this current location is a waste of time. In conclusion, I feel like this Walmart is an inconvenience and needs a lot to earn more stars. On the bright side, the staff are really nice when they aren't avoiding you.

They do not enforce the state mandated mask policy during the COVID-19 outbreak. Just seems like they don't care.

[926] 6/19/2019 This is probably my favorite Walmart's ever. The place is clean and huge. Plenty of parking and the staff is really friendly. Best part- open 24 hours. I'll definitely be back

Like most other Walmarts but much - much better! We came across this branch on our way to do do some hiking near the skyline Dr In Shenandoah National Park ( by the way it's a must place to see ) . Everyone knows about Walmart - and I never been on one that deserves 5 stars - but this one - dose! Very clean and organizations - the employees are so nice and welcoming. Great job guys

Great supermarket in this small town. It has many good salad. It's difficult for me to find a lovely restaurant nearby so I shopped all three meals at this Walmart. Even packed much snacks when I headed to NY.

Why did I bother "checking-in"? This is like any other Walmart in America except that you are in Luray where people are a bit different than those from NoVa. Use your imagination. The store was laid out like most Walmarts. Clean and well-stocked. Crowded. Maybe there is no place else for folks to go other than the Burger King? My cashier didn't look at me, greet me or smile. Was she a robot?

I could not tell you how much money I've spent in this place. Guess that's what happens when you live in a tiny town & your main store to shop in is walmart. *sigh* :( ANYWAYS...this store is always clean. Most of the workers are very friendly & are willing to help you find anything you may be looking for. Shelves are always stocked nicely & everything is easy to find here. NOTE: If you use the pharmacy here...don't. They are the SLOWEST ever & that's never a good thing when you feel like poo & want to get your meds & get the heck outa there!

I left my wallet at this Walmart with over $800 cash in it and the employees returned it to me without a single penny missing. Penny, the manager, I think was her name was very helpful in trying to get my wallet back to me. Thank you to anyone else involved that found my wallet. There are still good people in this world!!!!!!! Thank you outstanding employees of Luray Walmart!

This is by far the absolute best-est Wal-Mart I have EVER seen EVER! Is best-est a word? Oh well it is now. Vacationing in VA we headed out to Luray to see the cavern and made a trip to Wally World (as I refer to it) so we could get our friend a digital camera. It was about time he exited the caveman years, although his hair has yet to do so. Whenever we go to Wal-Mart I am still always expecting runaway children screaming throughout the aisles, dirty floors, and half stocked shelves, but I have to shake myself from that assumption and remember that it is only the one on Columbus Blvd. that is like that. Columbus Blvd Wal-Mart = Gitmo to Karla This is one of those Wal-Marts that makes you almost crap you pants at how much shit they can carry. It is one of those Wal-Marts that you can head out to the sports center and get yourself a rifle and go back to the grocery aisle and buy beer. Yes! Beer in Walmart! OMFG! I was sooooooooo stoked! We loaded our cart with $2 six packs of Bush beer that we drank for days in our tents, grabbed some traditional camp food, and some other useless yet handy items that we can never find here at home. Did I mention the Beer and Guns?! Coming from Philadelphia I just can't help myself saying that over and over. Stores are not even allowed to carry BB guns in Philly anymore! In my opinion everyone needs at least one firearm, after all the Zombie Apocalypse is coming! I think one thing that I still can't get over is how NICE everyone is there. The south is just so fun.....and they had fireworks in the parking lot! South + Beer + Guns + Fireworks = Fun Vacation!
