First I will say coming from California this DMV is pretty fast and I appreciated that, but the actual customer service was so horrendous that it warrants a 1 star. We recently moved here and since I arrived first I put all the utilities in my name. The clerk had the audacity to tell my partner "unless she's your momma you need utilities in your name". She continued to be short and not offer any solutions for the problems we had. Professionalism is completely lacking here.

I do not recommend going to this DMV. I made an appointment in advance and when I showed up 10 minutes early, per the instructions the receptionist couldn't find my appointment and then stop looking for it despite me offering to give her my confirmation number. I then waited 45 minutes past my appointment time, then when I was called to the window I was interrogated by the employee who showed no reason to be so upset with me. I am a disabled veteran and can't believe how I was treated. Never again.

The people who work there are disgustingly horrible. They are so rude, not helpful, and it seems like they take joy in watching people suffer. It's so pathetic. This was the WORST DMV experience I have ever had. Is there anywhere we can report these issues to? My experience was nothing but awful and hatred. Just do the drive and go to a DIFFERENT DMV LOCATION. DO NOT GO HERE!

Went to renew license as a walk-in at 1015 am today. I was in and out in 15 minutes ? couldn't believe it. Ms L Thompson took care of me was patient, efficient and courteous. I was impressed

I had a beautiful experience at the DMV Lynchburg on the 17th of November 2023. I went for my road test and was very nervous but my assessor was very kind and patient. I forgot her name but it was the lady with red/ burgundy colored short hair at counter 6. Thank you

This place is frustration Station! They really need to provide thorough training in professionalism and customer service skills to every employee at this location. From security to the clerks basic human decency, respectful communication, and common manners are all severely lacking.As soon as I arrived the existing tension in the room was palpable. During my 30 minute wait that ended in not being properly helped, I witnessed multiple parties pushed to their limits resulting in physical threats, verbal escalation, and profanity exchanged. No one should be subjected to this type of emotional abuse. This location needs management overhaul, rehiring, and training!!!! I will be driving 1.5 hours out of my way to take care of needs because my sanity is worth it!

Do yourself a favor and set an appointment online. You’ll be there 15 mins max and be in and out before you know it. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The people there are so mean and cold. I was at the window filling stuff out and the lady was chatting and laughing with her coworker and then I asked a question and she turned around to me and was so cold and mean when she was just laughing 2 seconds ago. Would it kill them to be nice and smile? Would not recommend.

Five stars ladies at the desk treated my wife and I with respect and really did their best to help us and get in and out. Less than 30 minutes compared the NE where a DMV visit is all day. I wasn’t too confident the visit go well because I was late and Security guard told me I couldn’t drink my cup of coffee in the dmv. Thankfully the great service and awesome attitudes of the people at the desk really made this an enjoyable and pleasant experience. Two words that I’ve never experienced at the DMV before! They were fantastic I can’t say enough good things about them!
