This Dollar General is in a convenient location and generally clean, but during my most recent visit, loud explicit rap music was playing, which made the atmosphere really uncomfortable. The chaotic environment made me rush to grab just what I needed and leave, instead of browsing for other items. I hope management can ensure future music choices are more shopper-friendly, as this isn’t typical for this store.

This is hands-down the most amazing Dollar General I’ve ever been to! The store is clean, well-organized, and easy to shop in everything is stocked neatly, and it’s clear the staff take pride in keeping it that way.
The employees are what really make the difference here. They’re friendly, professional, and always willing to help you find what you need. Shopping here feels quick, smooth, and surprisingly enjoyable compared to other locations.
I never thought I’d call a Dollar General exceptional, but this one absolutely is. It’s a standout store and a huge asset to the community!

I am beyond sad that the Rivermont area now has a food desert, and with this one of the only options, it's a horrible state. I would say that about 75% of the time they are closed for some reason or another, despite their hours posted on the door.It's okay if you're desperate, but I also wouldn't purchase any food in paper or cardboard packaging from there. The food inside, from cereal to crackers, always tastes like the strong cleaning products they use in the store.

I love having this store close by since the next closest grocery is at least 5 miles away. The employees have all been helpful and pleasant although I've noticed there seems to be a big turn over in employees. Dollar General made a big mistake in losing the last manager. She was a hard worker, extremely helpful and engaging, and seemed liked by everyone! I will miss her very much.One thing I've noticed over the few years this store has been open is that I am VERY frequently overcharged for items. It's actually become a regular thing when I check my receipts. It's usually under $1.00 but NEVER a mistake in my favor. These small amounts, almost unnoticeable by many, could amount to millions of dollars every year for Dollar General nationwide. I'm hoping these mistakes are the result of under- staffing in the store (not being able to keep up with the price changes on the shelves) and not intentional errors on the part of the company.

UPDATE YOUR BUSINESS HOURS!!! The last three times I have been to this location during business hours it has been closed. Just now went buy to get some supplies for work and guess what. They are closed. Hate this location, it’s so unreliable and apparently taping a note on the door that says “new business hours” is supposed to be helpful when you’re already at the store. And by the way the note changes every week so you never know when they will actually be open

This store is a little understocked and disheveled but the customer service is great. Michelle and the others have pride in their job and make the shopping experience worthwhile. Decent prices on some merchandise.
