Convenient location, usually plenty of parking. OK not great produce but produce area is well kept. Staff works hard. Otherwise entire store is meh. Sloppy shelves, usually out of what I want or no longer carried. Bathrooms are really bad, and there is always a garbage smell in front of the store. Fortunately there are now gas pumps for Kroger gas at this location so that is a plus.

We love this Kroger primarily because of the staff. My husband is a star at this location and knows just about everyone by name. They are kind and loving to my toddler son and the help in every department has always been stellar. I use self check-out exclusively, but often need assistance and never wait more than a minute to get it. I am very comfortable here as it is in my neighborhood and I'm familiar with the lay out--my review is based on my comfort. While the Forest location offers far more variety in produce, etc, I am satisfied with this Kroger because of the convenience. They offer enough selection of a few things that are mandatory for me: organic produce and gluten-free frozen/packaged foods. From time to time I use the pick-up and delivery options from Kroger and that has also been a pleasure. They have called before replacing items that are not in stock. The one time I had an issue, I was offered a gift card for the inconvenience. It may be because I am blessed by the Universe, but every time I park there I get a space right by the cart return. I have lost my wallet there twice and both times the staff have retrieved it and held it for me. This speaks to their honesty and the honesty of the customers who shop there (and also my favor by the Universe...). Right now there's a lot of construction for the gasoline pumps so it can be crowded and congested. There's been a lot of upheaval because of this--people don't like it. I zero care about it because I can go to the grocery store early and I'm typically not in any hurry to shop. But if you're rushed for time, it may cause some hang-ups.

This Kroger location in Boonsboro is clean, well organized, and friendly. The staff is friendly and willing to help. The deli and bakery have great selections! They have a nice organic and gluten-free selection. They also offer quick and efficient in-store grocery pickup orders. They're in the process of building Kroger gas pumps in part of the former parking area. It will add a Kroger gas option to use Kroger Fuel Points on this side of town...although it minimizes the size of the parking lot.

I have gone to this Kroger for about 30 years. The people are friendly, prices are low, and food is awesome.

Boonsboro, Kroger had the worst service today very disappointed in the Store Manager the power went out I just needed a pack of chicken but no couldn't get what I needed and then I'm leaving and the manager just standing up front Yelling at an Associate to go outside and the Associate said he was leaving in 30 minutes, all the Store Manager said was "Really you can't give me more time today"? the Associate snapped back and said "I've been here sense 7AM" mind you this was around 4:30PM shame on your leadership skills I'll be shopping elsewhere from now.

By having some live & in person cashiers -you know like more than ONE to serve express and full carts. AND! How about not ripping off your customers now by charging them 50 Cents to get their OWN money by pressing "EXTRA CASH". Yall truly have become the WORST customer service store in the WORLD.....You basically SUCKI.....no more "Krogering" for me..........bye.....

Although I am not an overly avid fan of most Kroger stores I have to give this particular store a decent rating. I'm a very OCD kind of person and notice every detail. When I walk in this store (not just the first time but every time) it is always kept up to the most stringent. Cleanliness standards. I don't know about you but other than price cleanliness is probably the most important thing in a business I buy food that I eat from. Always Clean, the majority of staff are extremely polite and helpful with only a couple of exceptions. Pricing, as with all Kroger's is a bit on the high side but comes with a good quality product, and anost to big of a selection of goods. My favorite is the deli where the food you get is as close as you will get to momma's cooking except without all dishes afterwards. Still a bit hard on the wallet but I'd say as long as they give me that same great taste and quality I will gladly pay a little more. A deli customer appreciation day would be nice with maybe 15% off and free samples! With Kroger gift cards as door prizes???(also I am more than happy to offer my services in organizing your community PR event)Get your name for quality, using local vendors and freshness out there you corporate giant you! Kroger's your loyal people of Lynchburg and surrounding counties need to know why (other than your extravagantly priced remodels) they need to pay more when walmart and food Lion are a couple minutes a way. Let us know you love us and you will be in Lynchburgians hearts forever. #giveyourneighborhoodkrogeranotherchance2018

Why are Lynchburg area Krogers charging 20 cents more, almost 30%, for turkeys than Harrisonburg, Charlottesville and Richmond stores, among others. 69 cents a pound Honeysuckle frozen bird in Lynchburg vs 49 cents in other Krogers. A manager at the Boonsboro store couldn't explain. So why are we being ripped off?

Great service. Cakes taste great and they leave a cookie bin out for kids to get a free treat.

Poorly trained produce manager. How can you be totally out of plain yellow onions? Yellow SWEET onions are not the same thing as I was so rudely told by produce employee.

The Kroger in Boonsboro has become my "home" Kroger now that I live in the 03. Growing up I lived on the other side of town, and the Timberlake Kroger was a half mile drive from my house. I love the Boonsboro Kroger for a lot of reasons, but dedcuted a star for its flaws. Let's start with the good: 1. Because this Kroger is on the side of town with the wealthier/healthier, what I would consider the more natural-conscious crowd, the produce section is of high quality and the wine selection is large. They also tend to carry some finer items that you might not find in other parts of town and certainly not at Food Lion. 2. Most of the staff is super friendly. I love the people in the produce section, and the older gentleman in the meat department are always helpful. Savannah is hands-down my favorite employee -- she works the USCAN lines and will shout out PLU codes for you so you don't have to search for them on the screen or the rolly thing. Everyone knows her by name. 3. The aisles make sense for the most part (not true of Wards Road) and I can find lots of manager's specials when I go shopping. Typically things are always stocked well. 4. For those people who do pharmacy here, there's a drive-thru. Super helpful when you're in a hurry or if you have a van full of kids. 5. The customer service counter is always helpful and understanding when I have issues. They go out of their way to fix problems, even if they were my mistake :-) The bad: 1. The parking lot is on a hill. Please be careful with your cart. Also, the cement outside of the store has a dip, and I had a friend flip over her cart leaving one day. 2. There is one entrance/exit into the store. This drives me crazy. There's always commotion, always an ordeal getting a cart in and out. WAY too much traffic for one set of sliding doors, especially when you have girl scouts or whoever else outside the doors collecting money. 3. Her name is Linda. She's a middle-aged African American woman with a very short haircut and glasses. She typically does checkout in the Express Lane. I've had enough issues with this woman being so rude that I've actually stopped going through the lines. I use USCAN no matter how much I have. I like my bags packed a certain way, and I'd rather take the time to do it my way and deal with Savannah as opposed to some of the teenagers or Linda. She's not kind and should not work in customer service of any kind. 4. This Kroger I feel like does good business. Unfortunately I think it's the only one left in this town to NOT get an upgrade. We don't have much in Boonsboro to shop at, and it clearly could use an expansion. With the Timberlake and Forest Krogers getting makeovers, I believe Boonsboro is now due. 5. It's not 24 hours because this is not a Kroger with a gas station. It'd be great if it was!
