Ordered doors. Kept getting the run around. One excuse after another. After over a month of delays and excuses I asked for a refund. And they still took a 15% restocking fee! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS! They don't even deserve one star!

Worst Customer Service. I was quoted a price on tile, I ordered it, waited for weeks for it to arrive and then called and told it was discontinued. I was told to come into store and select something similar for same price. I did this a day later and when I told person at Front Desk Customer service, I was basically called a Liar. They claimed that person that called me didn't exist and that I would not have been told to select anything else. I asked to talk to a Manager...out came an Old BattleAx woman, who was more arrogant and nastier than the first Customer service Genius. I requested a Refund and would never Shop this Store again. Shop at Lowe's !

Today I was at the Home Depot on Graves Rd, in Lynchburg, VA, and was very pleased with the singularly helpful nature of one of their employees. The only name I know is "Andrew." He both found my pick up order very quickly and when I asked him about another specialty item, he went to a lot of trouble to locate it in the store. In fact, he had to go back to "receiving" and then bring it up to the front of the store to me. He even offered to help me get it into the car. I am an older woman and so I really appreciated all his legwork and persistence, even though I did decline the help to the car because I felt I could handle it just fine. My hearty thanks to this dedicated employee -- we rarely find someone that caring and diligent, but Andrew certainly was!

They would have less than one star but that option is not available. Horrible customer service by one of their cashiers. The store manager was not interested in making the situation right. Cashier was still yelling at us when we met in the parking lot. We will not return.

I came to Home Depot today in search of a box fan. My wife and I are in town for her fathers birthday and I had a hard time sleeping without a fan last night. It is winter time, so fans are not out on display. But MARK was my greeter today. MARK took 15 minutes to help me, all the while continuing to greet everyone else, even taking time to help 3 other shoppers with their specific needs. Between Mark, Latisha and Denid, I got my fans and the In Laws house is officially sleepable again!!

Do they have a no stars rating. 1) The attitude of their workers is less than optimal, they act like they do not want to work there. 2) They do not honor veterans instead they have a bait and switch program. They say we honor veterans with a 10% discount. NOT TRUE. They lie. The discount is only for items not on sale. Well all items are on-sale. As a Veteran I am offended and will go to Lowes and other stores never a Home Depot again.

Don't go to Home Depot. We bought a refrigerator. They brought it a day late and when the came they wouldn't do anything to install it. When I complained they started complaining about my complaining! The delivery guys were the rudest I've ever seen. And they weren't wearing masks! They left and we plugged the fridge in and an error light came on immediately. We called Home Depot and they said. Not our problem? I'm never going back to Home Depot!

The appliance delivery service has been awful. We paid for an appliance, with a delivery set about 1.5 week later, a Friday, between 4pm and 7pm. I took time off work to be there for the delivery, but it never came. I resisted a grocery run out of fear I'd miss them. Instead, I waited at home for a truck that never arrived. The next day, on Saturday, we went to Home Depot to find out why they had not delivered. The customer service agent said they had a note that the truck had tried to deliver at 8:30pm, but we were not home. That was absolutely untrue; we were all home eating dinner. There were no calls, no one at the door, no ringing the doorbell. I honestly think the delivery team wanted to go home, and so lied. At the Home Depot desk on Saturday, we were told the next available delivery slot was now Tuesday. We were told they would call us the day before to set a time window. That call never came. I took Tuesday off work -another vacation day- to again wait for delivery. No call came. Around 2pm I called Home Depot. They transferred me to "kitchens" where they sounded surprised that we hadn't gotten a call with times for delivery. Their computer showed we would be 12th delivery out of 12- scheduled between 4pm and 7pm again. Around 5pm on Tuesday I still hadn't had a call or truck, and so I called Home Depot again. I spoke to the manager, who I have to admit was very understanding. He said he'd call the truck to make sure they were coming. When the manager called me back, he said the delivery team was on stop 10, and since I was stop 12, and stop 11 was just a drop off, they would be to me soon- in plenty of time for me to attend my sons school concert at 7. At 6pm, still no call or truck so I hired a neighbors college son to sit in the house for us to let in the installers so we could attend the school function. He ran over to help, and we left for the school concert. :) At 6:15pm, the delivery company called me to say they had forgotten to put the appliance on the truck, and could we reschedule for another day? I have now used 2 vacation days, paid a kind neighbor to sit in an empty house, have no appliance, and don't yet have a date rescheduled. Not that I really believe they will call or actually deliver at this point. I would not recommend using this Home Depot's delivery service. The staff at the Depot have been fine, but their delivery service is truly awful.

I recently decided to fence in the backyard to our new house we are closing on this 8/31. Two weeks ago I went to home depot ordered 35 fence panels, posts, and concrete with deliver for 8/29 to allow a buffer. I have family and friends coming to help install fence. They live far away and busy schedules so getting them here is hard enough. I was assured everything was fine, panels should be in plenty of time and they will cut the 4x4 posts in half for me no problem. 8/23 I call bc haven't heard a word, am assured everything is on schedule good to go. Call again day before delivery to see about a time and confirm. Am told they did not receive the 25 panels that were not in stock and they have them coming in 9/3, clearly not going to work. I rush to LOWES (SOOOOOO much better), not only do they have 35 in stock willing to deliver next day no problem. Order the fence panels from LOWES and cancel my panel order but leave concrete and fence posts just because already all set for delivery. When at home depot to cancel panels I check on delivery that its okay, mention again need 4x4 cut in half, say there is a "note" and all is good to go. Call delivery 8/29 at 7am bc have 0 trust in HD at this point. Delivery truck is loaded at this point and go figure 4x4s are NOT cut. Informs me nothing he can do truck is out for delivery. Will deliver concrete and may be able to get posts back to me tom. POOR communication, only heard anything bc I follow up. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. Wish I would have just went to LOWES from the start and for EVERYTHING

Worst home depot ever!!!!! I have given this place several chances and still have, not once, found anyone who knows what is going on or how to find a product I am looking for! The men are rude and dismissive. Appalling, I'm done. Never again.

Do not do business with THE HOME DEPOT for cabinet refacing. They do not honor their warranty! In October 2014 I contracted through the Lynchburg, Virginia, Home Depot store to have my cabinets resurfaced using "FaceLifters." I have a 5-year warranty on this work. A drawer beneath my built-in oven has warped. I first contacted Home Depot about this more than a year ago, but was distracted in caring for an ill family member and did not pursue. With the drawer getting worse, I decided to review my paperwork again: sure enough, it is under warranty for FIVE YEARS. In late November, I contacted a Kevin at
[email protected]. He was supposedly working with me to have this problem addressed. When I stopped hearing from him, I called the toll-free number and made contact with another person--who has apparently taken Kevin's place. Same email, so you'd have to wonder why he didn't inherit my warranty claim. On Jan. 18, 2018, I wrote to the CEO of Home Depot, Craig Menear, explaining my predicament. I've not heard anything from that correspondence, either. Since then, I have posted on the Facebook page. I have also posted my complaint on Twitter. No response whatsoever. Sadly, I am beginning to conclude that Home Depot issues warranties that it has no intention of honoring.

I purchased a refrigerator on 10-14-17, it was damaged. I was promised a gift card which has not been delivered as of yet. (12-19-17) I have spent hours on the phone trying to get what was promised. Today, I called again, will see what happens. This has been the most frustrating experience I have had with an appliance purchase, not one person has done what they say they will do. When i do business, an important thing for me is if they do what they say and do it when it is supposed to me done, without a hassle, this has been a complete hassle. On a scale of one to ten, my experience does not even rate a one.

This store practices bait-and-switch tactics. I needed a dishwasher, and decided to shop around online before driving a half-hour to our local big box hardware stores. After looking at Lowes, Best Buy, Sears and Home Depot I found this particular unit, a KitchenAid KDTE104ESS dishwasher, which retails for $899.00 but was advertised on Home Depot's website at $548.00. This was the highest sale of all their dishwashers (39% off) when all their other units were only on sale by about 10-15%. In retrospect this should have been a warning sign for bait-and-switch. I stopped at my local Home Depot store #4655 on 10/22/17 and received the worst treatment I've ever experienced as a customer. To begin with, the appliance section was only staffed with a single employee on a busy Sunday afternoon. It took over an hour just to speak with the admittedly overworked employee. The dishwasher I was interested in wasn't on the display floor... just lots of higher priced units. When I finally was able to speak to the sole employee in appliances, he looked up the unit and found it online. However, when he went into the stores internal ordering system, Direct Depot, he could not find the model anywhere. Eventually, he called the assistant manager, a Mr. Marcus Adams, for help. He couldn't find a way to get me this unit either. They proceeded to spend about another half-hour looking at various different models. Finally, he selected a model in the KitchenAid that was 1 grade lower than this one (model # KDFE104DSS) and offered it to us at the same price of $548.00. As I explained to the assistant manager, the problem with his offer was it is an inferior product to the one that was listed for sale. The retail price of the model he chose was only $799.00. It was certainly less appealing to us as it had front buttons (easily accessible by children) versus the concealed top buttons of the unit that had been advertised. I explained to the assistant manager that it is illegal to offer an inferior product in replacement of an advertised product for the same price. That is the very definition of bait-and-switch. I offered to pay $448.00 for the lesser-valued model (the difference in price of the retail between the two units) and he laughed and said no way. Then, I suggested that he give me one model better than the unit I came in to purchase (model KDTM354DSS) for the same price of $548.00. Again, I was laughed at and told no. Finally, I made an offer to compromise on the lesser valued dishwasher and pay $500 for it. Again, my offer was refused. He communicated that my only options were to buy the inferior product at the same price... or pay more for a more expensive dishwasher. (the very definition of bait-and-switch) Before leaving the store, I tried to discuss the issue with their store manager, Mr. Bill Mullins. Like his assistant manager, he saw no issue with the bait-and-switch tactics which were used. He even went further and said that the Home Depot website was not his store's website, and that I shouldn't rely on the prices and products listed on the site for his store. He refused to offer anything other than what the assistant manager had offered. Finally, he suggested to call what he called the ".com people" and had me talk to a representative there. They also could not find a way to order the dishwasher advertised on their website. However, she was helpful, and ultimately received approval to offer me the lesser value dishwasher at the $448.00 price I had suggested... "IF" the local store manager would approve. He quickly rejected that, and at that point... I had enough. After spending 2.5 hours of my Sunday trying to get the product I wanted at the advertised price... I gave up. I can not believe the horrible customer service at this store. I went to our local Lowes in Madison Heights, and was treated as a valued customer. I found a comparable dishwasher at a comparable price. I would not advise any customer to shop at this Home Depot.
