Was charged $150 to find the source of a fuel leak, turns out that the mechanic reinstalled the fuel filter cap with the o ring in the wrong spot. I took the truck to another mechanic who took 5 minutes to figure this out fixed it and no more leak at no cost. Wish I could take the 150 and give it to the guy who actually fixed the problem. Know-how goes a lot further than a shop with a high hourly charge.

On a recommendation, I had Jeff and his team do custom exhaust work on a car that has a lot of sentimental value to me, and the results are incredible. They took the time to talk me through options and helped me arrive at the best plan, and then they knocked it out of the park! Highly recommended!

I brought my 20 year old Subaru WRX to Jeff Eddy/Chrome Auto from Frederick, MD for a peace of mind checkup since I plan to drive it for many years. It ran beautifully for the 4 hour drive to his shop but as original owner, I knew there were things that had never needed attention before. Jeff has been my mechanic, then became my friend many years ago and I knew his shop, Chrome Auto was the only place I could take it and be confident that it not only would be fixed right, but that nothing would be recommended that was unnecessary. I basically gave him a blank check - tell me what needs repair and what may need repair. He and his team, particularly "curly" Jeff, drove it, went thru it, and while the list was fairly long, nearly everything on it were things that had never been repaired or needed repair in the 20 years I've owned it. New struts, shocks, tie rods, a repaired exhaust (tuned to a sweet rumble) and a few other things and my baby is handling like it did when it was new. Not cheap, but the price was absolutely fair. If you have a Subaru, Jeff's Chrome Auto is your place. If you drive something else, I feel sorry for you-but this honest and experienced shop/staff has in-depth experience with most cars and will take care of your car, get it running reliably or explain what the issues are so you can make the best decision for you.

Everyone at Chrome was so kind and helpful from the time I made my appointment until everything was done. Jeff gave me a detailed quote, gave me a time that the work would be finished. It was completed on time with 10 minutes to spare. Jeff went over the invoice in detail and explained everything that was done, from new tires, tune up, oil change, and a few other things. I felt like I was treated fairly and very well taken care of. Jeff will definitely get my business from now on. I even have an appt. to have them check out a family members car on Wednesday. These guys are the absolute best of the best. Not only did they do amazing work on my 2017 Jeep Patriot but they spent about an hour on the phone with my warranty company to help get my repair bill down. The only thing I can say that they did they got the car in and to get the car check but the service was poor. They never did call me to tell me what was going on with the car after I asked them to call me and let me know what was going on and how much it was going to cost the first time they did not do that they fix the AC got it running for a couple days then i had to take it back drop the car off again. Did the AC again charge me almost 200 and some thing dollars and my AC on my car still doesn’t work and I fronted man Monday the next business day and he’s going to tell me to bring it back drop it off so they can do are try something else to see what was going on I didn’t agree with the man to come back because he was going to charge me more money and I told him that’s not right because my AC is not fixed ,i said NO sir he hung up in my face so I would never ever ever ever recommend nobody to go to them, poor judgment on that. And I asked to speak to the manager, and I guess he told me he was the manager I can’t even remember.???????????????????Service: Air & cabin filter replacement

I was going to buy a used car from a dealership, so I decided to get the pre-purchase inspection to figure out whether the vehicle is worth it to buy or not. When I did the test drive of the vehicle, I did not find any problems and I thought it is a pretty good car to buy. However, when I got the result of the pre-purchase inspection, there are more than seven problems are found and a few of them can cause severe problems. I am really thanks to Mr. Eddyy who did the pre-purchase inspection for the vehicle and he was really nice to me to explain all things that he found about the vehicle that I almost buy. He is a really honest and nice guy. I really recommend this trustable place!

Chrome Auto is by far the best auto shop I’ve been too. Customer service is top notch. Jeff, the owner, is both knowledgeable and ethical. After being conned out of thousands of dollars from multiple car shops around my area, I found Jeff. It’s 45 minutes from my location but worth the drive as Jeff has earned my trust. Jeff and his mechanics have earned my trust and business for life. After dealing with multiple auto repair shops that lied and did terrible work, I found Jeff. He's honest, ethical, and knowledgable when it comes to vehicles. While they are not the cheapest option, in life you get what you pay for. I've wasted thousands and been scammed before, so ultimately I'm saving money by going to a place I know will be honest and do the job right. Give them a shot, you'll be happy you did.
