AMV is the best in the industry, especially with Nicole Malki as a member of the team. Nicole knows her craft, is very knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to resolving issues. Nicole has managed two properties where I've owned and thanks to her expertise, we were and are always in good hands.

As a homeowner, board member, and a realtor within the northern Virginia area. I am so pleased to have Nicole Malki back at Gates Mill HOA.Nicole is very professional, extremely knowledgeable, organized and well versed in her her job. Her style is hand on with a Board, Owners, and Contractors.I am so glad she returned to Gates Mill HOA and the community has never looked better in years. She follows thru and does not miss a beat. Nicole has a heart of gold and wears it on her sleeve for us.

Everytime time I have an issue and need to talk to someone to resolve it, no one answers the phone and voicemail is always full. Only time I get a response is through email from Samantha which is not acceptable especially for time sensitive issues.

Update: Samantha was willing and was able to help me with the issue I was having.Thank you Samantha.Original Comment: Very, very, very frustrating organization to work "with".Each time there has been a change in the amount of the HOA fee or change of vendor; I was referred to the vendor instead of someone at AMV taking the time to help me.This is the first public review i have done on a company -- I am beyond frustrated.I am sure the individuals there are very nice people, however, I have found the services they provide, lacking

Our experience with the American Management of VA(AMV) was not pleasant. We got an email about installing new mailboxes within our community and it says "You are more than welcomed to come by our Manassas office (omit address) to retrieve your mailbox keys." We called first to be sure the keys were there as it is a 30 minute drive to the office. When we arrived, the keys for Tory Loop were not there. We had talked with Leslie on the phone a week ago and in the morning we went. She was clueless as to what happened to the keys. Lindsey was trying to find them, but her attitude was rude. She kept interrupting as we were explaining that we've called twice to confirm the pick up and had driven all that way there. She questioned us if we called before last Thursday. We told her we called about a week ago and this morning. Then she said that we should have looked on the website first. We said that we follow the instructions on the email. If we should check the website instead, why was there nothing been mentioned on the email? Again, Lindsey interrupted and talked over us. When we asked Lindsey for information on where to get the key, she gave a name and address. No phone number, no email. We then asked if we can have more information so we can contact before we go since it's a resident address. Lindsey only gave us an email address. (We sent an email 4 days ago asking about the keys and still haven't heard back.). Then she started doing other "things" and refused to talk to us anymore. I asked her name 3 times to get her name. When we got home, we did check the website and it said exactly the same as the email.Apparently, AMV has a management glitch. They sent information either wrong or failed to update it. The employees have insufficient knowledge of normal tasks and disrespect clients. They also don't apologize for their mistakes. That shows they have no sense of identity with the company. As of today, we still haven't gotten the mailbox keys.Do not use American Management of VA(AMV).

Working with Nicole has been amazing here at Summerhouse I Condominium. When responding to our residents' problems and concerns, she is always available to brainstorm a solution. You can feel the passion she puts into her work; since becoming the community manager, we have seen significant improvements around the community. She brings high-class communication skills and is a great leader. We are very lucky to have her.

I must say my experience with American Management of Virginia has been awesome. Most of my interaction has been with Nicole Malki. She is very professional, knowledgeable and strives to always get to “yes” for any issue I present to her. Also, she is flexible and recognizes residents are professionals so she makes every attempt to accommodate our/my requests. I look forward to working with Ms. Malki and her team in the future. They truly set a high bar when it comes to excellent customer service and professionalism!

Never available to assist; rude when you call them out on it. They will let your neighborhood look like trash and not do anything about it.

There seems to be a number of issues that are currently occurring with our Paradise Parcel E HOA and their Management Company, American Management of Virginia. As homeowners, the way we see it they are: 1. American Management of Virginia is not properly documenting notifications of corrections as per the directions in the notifications. a. Notices of rules and regulations being violated are not properly documented. b. Notices documenting violations of properties are being sent to the wrong homeowners. i. Twice we have received notifications to either fix or paint trim boards that are not part of our house and belong to our neighbors’ houses. ii. Despite notifying the Management Company of their mistake in notifying us, they ignored this information and continued to notify us of the need to correct these “violations”. 2. American Management of Virginia is sending out “violation notifications” without vetting by the HOA Board. 3. Complaints are being accepted at “face value” and neither American Management of Virginia nor the HOA Board are conducting investigations into complaints to validate them. 4. American Management of Virginia and the HOA Board are not fairly and evenly enforcing the HOA rules and regulations as only certain homeowners are having the rules and regulations enforced against them and are receiving “violation notifications”. 5. American Management of Virginia and the HOA Board are not following up to ensure violations and complaints are taken care of. a. Multiple issues identified to the Management Company in regard to issues/violations noted for our neighbors’ property have not been corrected. 6. American Management of Virginia is not notifying the HOA Board of the corrective actions taken that they are notified of.
