Called to setup a regular comprehensive and cleaning for my cat. The guy that answered the phone sounded like he didn't even want to be there and just sounded dreadful on the phone.. then he places me on hold for like 15-20 minutes just to hang up on me. (I didn't mind waiting lol) but to ultimately hangup...? I called another location and got it done in 2 minutes. Jesus christ.

Today was my first time at a Banfield. I actually switched Vets, due to my old one tripling the price of insurance for ONE DOG ?. The team at the Manassas location provided excellent customer service, and made sure that my dogs and I felt at home. They were all very informative! I also spoke to Wanda over the phone before coming in, and she was AMAZING! Unfortunately, the wait time was pretty long. It was about 40 minutes before a veterinary assistant was able to come in the room to get us started. At my old vet, I was out the door within 30 minutes. In my opinion, that would probably be the only downside, but I understand things happen and it can get hectic sometimes.

Just spoke to them and the gentleman was getting super defensive when all I was trying to say that as a member of Banfield (I live in Miami) I have never experienced not being able to get in on the same day or day after when something is wrong with my pup. I’ve been a member with Banfield since I ok got my pup 3 years ago. He took my feedback way too personally but c I it stand by these locations maybe teaching out to the Banfield in North Miami Beach or Aventura in Florida to find out how they schedule snd are accommodating. What’s the point of having the membership if your dog is sick but you need to wait 3 days to get in? WTH! And maybe some customer service training would be nice. A fur mom is already agitated and worried about her baby, the last things she needs is someone who isn’t empathetic or understanding how hard it is if you can’t even get someone to jump on the phone to offer sone guidance on how to help my pup until I can get in. Ugh!

They are open weekends, so those that work weekdays can make appointments for their furbabies at weekends. The wellness plans make things very affordable. I'd recommend Banfield. The staff are always friendly.

The vets and doctors are nice and very personable but their time management is not the greatest. Even with an appt you’ll be seen 45 minutes after your appt time. The facility is clean and everyone is very polite and professional. If they are able to improve o their time management this place could be great!

Would give 0 stars if that was an option. I don't know why I keep dealing with Banfield when I leave feeling duped every time. I can finally say I will NEVER be back here. Recently, our Grandma passed away and she was holding onto her dog, who was 17+ years old, blind, deaf and incontinent. After calling around to multiple places, we chose to go with Banfield because of their $144.95 quote for euthanasia. We had to schedule an appointment because they couldn't accommodate on a Sunday, which was fine. Booked the appointment for Tuesday. After waiting 30 minutes in a tiny room for someone to even come into the room, the woman told us it would be $252. I was already upset enough, so I didn't question her. I just assumed the quote the girl gave me on the phone was wrong and it is what it is. She took our dog to put the catheter in and we waited another 30 minutes for her to come back in with the doctor. After everything was done and we were checking out, the receptionist told us it was so much because they are charging $75 for an office fee. I found this to be outrageous because we were only here for euthanasia. He claimed it was because "they had to put the catheter in" which I found to be a little confusing considering that is part of the euthanasia process. He went and grabbed a higher up and she argued with me asking why I didn't question the cost in the room... Maybe because our Grandma just died and now we are putting her dog down. I was upset enough and I thought the cost discrepancy was for only the euthanasia. She said if you would have said something before I could've done something about it.. not sure why it's any different at the front desk. If you could do something about it you still could. Ended up just paying the money, which was more expensive than any of the other places we called, and leaving feeling like a sucker. NEVER VISIT THIS PLACE! They are just a corporation and your pet will just be another number. Visit you local veterinarian where they care about the community and the pets who live in it. Shame on Banfield for taking advantage of pet owners. I WILL NEVER BE GOING BACK.

I've been going to Banfield at the Fair Lakes location for about 17+ years. I love them.

Banfield Manassas is great. The staff are always upbeat and friendly. Every time I call, you can hear it in their voices that they enjoy what they do. The Vets themselves always take the time to go over everything and never make you feel rushed. I love taking my dogs there because I know they care.

I will start by saying I do not write reviews, but the consistently poor experience I have had with Banfield needs to be a warning to all pet owners.1. Customer service: I have a senior dog paralyzed due to Intervertebral Disc Disease who requires medicine twice daily for pain management. I realized I did not have any medication left, so I called Banfield, who informed me that my vet would not be back for over nine days, and all they could do to help me was schedule my dog to be seen in four days. When I again explained that my dog could not walk and required this medicine to be comfortable, the woman representing Banfield named Eva, became rude and told me that was all she could do to help me and hung up. To make matters worse, she ignored my callbacks not once but three times. Customer service is an after thought.2. Overall professionalism: During my call, I requested a call back from the doctor. I was told the doctor was too busy to call me back. I understand there is a veterinarian shortage, but to be told that the doctor leaves at 4 pm and does not have 5 minutes to call me back after 1 pm for an actual medical emergency. I had to question why I was paying a monthly fee for three large dogs, for a veterinarian on duty to not have the common courtesy of 5 minutes for an actual medical emergency. I do not want to know how they would handle a life threatening emergency.3. Subpar Medical Service: If your pet has anything abnormal during your routine vet visit, you will be sent to a specialist. I have visited multiple Banfield locations across the country and have found that basic Problem-solving, additional research, and aftercare guidance are not something you will experience from Banfield Veterinarians. Every vet visit I have to prepare a list of questions about my dogs medical history, because it appears the Vets and Techs are only equipped to handle simple routine checkups. Be prepared to be disappointed, and feel like you are wasting your money.

Unfortunately, we used them only one time for an emergency euthanasation of our kitty. 1] squeezed her in even not being a normal patient 2] soooooo kind during the worst time ever. Dr. Lung & his staff were fantastic. ❤️❤️ If we ever get another cat, this will be our vet. Open 7 days a week & very kind. [Euthanasia with private cremation wasn't as expensive as it can be either]

I've trusted Banfield with my dog since he was a baby. My dog recently started limping so I went to Banfield to find out whats wrong with my dog. I sent my dog in from 9am - 5pm. The vet hasn't done anything to find out whats wrong with my him. My dog is like my child, and I have yet to find out whats wrong with my child. My dog still limps, and is unable to even go up or down the stairs. I dont know how to help my dog since I've gotten no information about my dog. I requested a thorough examination of my dog, but none was carried out. NOTHING. Please find another veterinarian to treat your dog to spare yourself some time and money.

Not sure where to even begin…I’ve waited to write this review because I wanted to give them a chance and I don’t like writing negative reviews. Unfortunately they have not redeemed themselves. In a nutshell, please avoid this place. We recently moved here and already had the banfield plan in our previous state (which we absolutely LOVED). The vets, the convenience of the plan, the kindness and professionalism of the entire establishment was great, so when we moved here, we decided to continue the Banfield route. This banfield had the best reviews out of the ones around (which I am now convinced are fake) so we booked our appt and it was downhill from there. The veterinarian is NEVER in the office (one day a week), or at least the vet we saw, so if you have an issue or question, you literally have to wait an entire week to get a response. I have two senior dogs so that just isn’t acceptable. The wait times when you go to your appt are crazy, expect to spend at least two hours there. And to top it off…I’ve encountered ONE nice person in the office, she works the front desk and is actually kind and smiles (wish I got her name to give her kuddos)…everyone else has had an attitude and been rude. These are just a few of the issues we’ve encountered. The Banfield plan has been great for the many years we have had it at another location, but unfortunately, this location has spoiled it and we will be finding another vet.

I've been taking my dog to this vet for a couple of years and their service has just not gotten any better. I sent my dog here from 9 am to 5 pm just for the vet to say, "He looks like he's in a lot of pain!". I know that my dog is in a lot of pain, I wanted to know what's wrong with my dog. After I go pick him up, then the vet decides to say that he needs an x-ray, AFTER HOW MANY HOURS? The vet has also gotten no comprehensive exam, and I STILL DONT KNOW WHATS WRONG WITH MY DOG. I don't understand why they did not do anything to see what's wrong with my dog within those long hours. I STILL HAVE NO ANSWER. I spent money just for the vet to not know what's going on with my dog, and for a stupid comment. This is ridiculously unprofessional and this might be the last time I will be going to Banfield. I also saw my dog has gotten a cut after he came back from the vet, it's ridiculous. There has been no outcome from the vet and please, do not take your pet here.

I gave 1 star only because I couldn't go lower. Please do not take your pets to Banfield. The optimum wellness plan covers very little. They have no vets on some days. If your pet is sick you can't get an appointment for weeks, so your forced to seek another vet. Of course Banfield does not cover that expense. Additionally if your pet needs surgery that Banfield would normally cover under your wellness plan, but cannot perform because they are not equipped, they will not cover that either, or reimburse you for what they claim it would cost. Save your money and go to a real vet.
