Bookworm Central is a local company (based out of Manassas, VA!) that offers on-site book fairs, online book fairs (yes, virtual book fairs!), literacy programs, and classroom collections for all ages. I know that most schools usually stick with the big-wig (aka Scholastic), but it seems as if Bookworm Central is more personalized and offers a better high-quality selection of reading materials. You can request collections by grades, by specialty (leveled reading, Common Core, state reading lists, etc.), or by interests (award winners, favorite author sets, favorite series, etc.). The staff is extremely helpful, and they actually send out representatives to visit the schools to check out the inventory, help set-up (with their volunteers; mind you, it is still a small company, but growing), as well as continue to customize in terms of the popular products. I've also noticed that Bookworm offers a variety of different and unique books and less of the 'unnecessary' toys/gadgets. You can still find cool kits and puzzles, though! I highly recommend in checking Bookworm Central out - your school will totally be surprised at the high level of quality in the selection! :D
