As a small business owner it cost me over $1,000.00 to have my taxes done at H n R Block in Manassas VA. It took 45 minutes to prepare them. It went up over $400 since last year and the only thing that changed was I purchased a stock. It's ashame because I really like the person who prepared them but not at that price.

My tax advisor improperly advised me to file for a mistake my company put for my W2 (wrong state) indicating that, "they probably won't change it". Then he charged me for the additional state that I shouldn't have filed for... instead of filing an extension and getting the matter corrected and resolved.
