Wonderful customer service. The lady who checked us out was kind, helpful, and guided us through how to use our rewards.

Shepherd in the custom framing department did an excellent job with our project. We had family heirloom antique tiles that were custom painted over 50 years ago, and he designed a beautiful way to display them. We were so happy with how they came out. He is very talented!

I had this painting framed recently. It had been folded up in my closet for several years. They were able to remove the creases, and did a great job framing it. I recommend searching the deep discount times - can save you hundreds.

I had several prints framed at this store in the past month. I can't thank Shepherd enough for his patience, friendliness, professionalism and service on picking out the right color matt and frame for all of the pictures. Unlike other Michaels store, Shepherd was courteous and showed excellent customer service. I will be back thanks to Shepherd! Sharon.H Manassas, VA

Super rude cashier with terrible manners. Approximately an hour ago, I came in for an online order and wasn't aware the merchandise pickup locker wasn't self serve since I've retrieved orders for myself before and I would receive confirmation emails indicating my pickup was successful. Definitely, my mistake that I didn't know/follow the correct process. However, as I'm looking in the pickup locker for my purchase, I hear someone yelling from across the store so I look up and to my surprise that yelling is being directed at me from one of the registers. I walk over to the register to see what the commotion was about and the cashier continued to yell at me like I was a child while she was checking out another customer. Okay, calm down lady. No need to get angry and not sure why I would care that you have "worked here for a long time". Don't know why she had to make such a big scene when she could've just explained it to me like any normal rational person. I ended up checking out with the only other cashier upfront and she turned out to be a lot friendlier. I didn't get rude lady's name but she must've fell asleep through basic customer service training.

Bad manager, shouldn't hire him. Not willing to help. Waste time . Never even come here again. Better go to other stores who take care of their customers.

Just a warning that the curbside pick up service must still be ironed out. I notified them on the app and over the phone and at 20 minutes (and the only car waiting) I'm still here. No doubt holidays and all that but if you are in a rush this isn't for you.

I'm giving this store 5-Stars on the accommodating customer service from their staff, especially from two of the most patient and caring people I have ever met... Sam and Trish. I came in on the Friday before Easter frantically scrambling for help since I was scheduled to make a donation later that afternoon for INOVA Childrens Hospital's Art Therapy Program. The problem was that my shipment was delayed 3 days, meaning that I would be forced to meet with the head of the department with what ultimately would be an IOU. Luckily, there were other items on the wish list, which I shared with Sam, who went out of her way to help me find the unique items I couldn't find from a competing Arts and Crafts store company the day before. She went out of her way to not only clear the shelves for the patients, but also run through the back to get whatever she had left. From there, Trish went out of her way to box the items to ensure that they were presentable when I made the donation. At the end of the day, they made me look good even though I could have looked much worst in front of the staff. At the end of the day the program, which helps children with both physical and mental health issues such as cancer and depression, had enough supplies to last them for more than a year. This was partially made possible thanks to the kind attentiveness given by this store, especially from Sam and Trish. Congratulations y'all... You got my loyalty for life.

I'm big into crafting so this is like heaven. I sometimes need to leave my wallet in the car. I'm very confused about their rewards program and I feel like most their staff is as well. 4 stars because their customer service is hit or miss. Sometimes they are super friendly and other times they are miserable and rude.

Selection is good...customer service, pretty much hard to find. Just so happens that my son wanted to buy a little toy. Went to stand in line. There were 2 other employees at the cash wrap area, other than the young lady checking out customers, one was re-stocking, the other perhaps closing a register. Customers were lining up behind me,and by the way I stood in line for at least 15 minutes waiting prior to this. So after a while longer and I think there was about 6 people behind me now, then one of the employees called for someone to come to their register! I was pretty much annoyed by the time I checked out. I should've gone to AC Moore across the street.

Very poor service. I went out to Michaels as I normally do and went to the cashier to ask about a sale item. She called to someone to assist me and check if the item I wanted to purchase qualified. When I go back, the women there to assist me doesn't even acknowledge me and yanks the sales poster off. Then she goes around me and yells in her little microphone asking who left an expired promotion on. I wasn't expecting her to still honor the promotion because it was still up, but to at least say to say sorry... Show empathy toward a customer and pay attention to them. I say this because I am a manager myself. If I were to see one of my employees have work ethics like the blonde short curly haired women that was of no help... I would fire them. Still love Michaels but awful experience tonight all to a failure in hiring a careless rude women.

While we found some interesting items and 2 items on our list, the staff were not friendly or helpful. My husband was finishing up a transaction at the register when I was informed that I would have to go to the end of the line because I had a separate transaction. I waited patiently til what I thought was my turn, when I was again turned away because they said "she's next" of a women I had not seen waiting and I swear was not ahead of me. Left the store dissatisfied with no purchase due to their rudeness, inflexibility and unreasonable behavior when I had clearly been waiting!

Love love love Michaels. This craft store is full of options for any type of DYI or crafting project. I personally like to come here to stock up on goodies for my classroom. I love how they have a large holiday/seasonal selection, home goods and storage supplies, all of which are good quality unlike other craft stores. My only complaint is that I wish there were more opportunities for coupons and savings like at AC Moore!

Copic markers are very expensive so the marker sets stay in the back and they hang cards for customers to take to the register in their place. If the product is not in stock, the card should be removed from the sales floor. It is absolutely infuriating when I take one of these cards to the register only to be informed the product is out of stock by a completely unsympathetic cashier. Today is not the first time this has happened. I don't know why this keeps happening but if the copic markers aren't being inventoried properly, they have bigger problems than this unhappy customer.
