I don’t even know where to start. Maybe with pictures. Yea, that’ll do it. I cannot explain my level of disgust, frustration and disappointment in this place. I’ve been paying rent for the past year for an inside, climate controlled unit. I went up roughly a month ago to grab a few items to bring out to my parents house. No sign of any of this rodent waste. Come back a month later because apparently they are “shutting down” with no incentive for me, not even an apology for the serious inconvenience. No shrugs given. Yea. Being that we are no longer in the immediate area, we had to have our property out by Aug 16th or we would’ve had to pay for the full month. Needless to say, it was suggested to me by a staff member that it was highly unlikely any damage would occur if I committed to having a climate controlled unit, so I went with that. No big deal right? Wrong. Now that it’s scheduled for demolition, I suppose they stopped giving a damn about their customers’ property, or any type of pest control, and said “ah this place wont be here much longer, we don’t need to keep up with it”. So, by my estimate, $2500 worth of losses or items of value that we will have no choice but to throw out. Sent an email, still havent heard back. Business is business. I pay for a service that you offer, I expect, at the very MOST, minimal wear and tear to my property. Not rodent feces and urine everywhere I step, raining off of everything I picked up. Oh, and the dead rodent. Pictures included. Didn’t take pictures of the dead rodents up and down the hallway. Why bother? There are so many more pictures I have that I couldn’t even upload. Haven’t even opened up most boxes to find out what surprises are in there. I mean, I almost have to laugh because I’m so angry. This is how y’all run this place? What a joke man. I really wanted to give this place a better review than this. But they really forced my hand on this one. Terrible business model.

I think the pricing is unfair, every few months the price would increase for no reason. The online payment system acts up out of nowhere and I was told I have until the 13th to move out but I received a text on the 11th that I had to be gone by the 12th. Definitely wouldn't recommend this facility, plenty of competition in the area.

It's practically impossible to get back, return, phone call or even have someone actually pick up the phone and talk to someone period I love the unit and it's been very nice I'm having to transfer to another location due to my location technology drive in Manassas Virginia is closing period I am having the same problem with both facilities. I picked the unit that is on Sunday. Manner in Manassas, Virginia. I have a lock from the storage unit company on my new unit. And I have been trying to get in touch with them to take that lock off. For I have paid since July 9th and I can't even access my unit. I don't even know if it's gonna be ready. This coming Saturday? The 22nd I will be moving from one storage to this 1. Period the response I got from the clerk was that he don't know if it had been claimed or not, so I took the time to go over to the unit. And there's a lock on it so I can't do anything. He says someone has to be here in order to take the lock off. Okay, well, it's almost impossible again. For someone to leave that office, there are so busy with customers. Constantly and I don't need to sit around there for a long time to be able to get that lock off my unit if they would pick up the phone and I could make sure that they do that. I am living out of state on the west coast

This place is great. The staff are extremely friendly. The facility is very well kept and the units are extremely nice. I have an outside drive up unit which s very clean and has great ventilation which will be great for those humid summer months.

The manger that greeted me was very friendly and knowledgeable about what would fit my needs best. The faculty is clean and secure. I highly recommend SSP in Manassas for storage needs!!

Rented two units in 2021. The business model seems to be to jack up the rent every 6 months. Pretty distasteful. We consolidated into one unit and will be vacating by year end. Do buy the propaganda that they are a small local family run business.Rent elsewhere.

The manager and the assistant manager on duty are very nice and very helpful. I am very pleased with everything there and will definitely use the service again in the future. Many many thanks again.Highly recommend this facility.

I went online and 5x5 unit was advertised for 1st month free & $54 a month . When you get there other fees were added & the worker pretty much discouraged us from doing business anyway. We rented from the company before and it was a pleasant experience but this time I felt like I was in a 3rd world country for a storage space . I asked could he present me with the additional fees in writing and he got on the phone to ask his boss & still nothing in writing . They are the absolute worst

First, I would like to begin by saying that the condition of the storage units and grounds has always been good and well taken care of. The staff has also been consistently pleasant, responsive, and easy to deal with. The invoicing/billing is easy and convenient. I don’t have anything negative to say about the condition of the units or how the property is managed. However, I do have issues with their frequent and excessive rental increases.I leased a 10 x 30 storage unit in June 2020 at the rate of $210 per month. Beginning November 2020, they increased the monthly rent to $252, which was expected. Beginning In May 2021 (6-months later), they increased the rent again from $252 to $302 per month. Beginning November 2021 (6-months later), they again increased the monthly rent from $302 to $347 per month. A total $100 rate increase in 12-months! In all cases they claim “ever increasing expenses” as the reason for the rate increases.Keep in mind that the average Consumer Price Index (CPI) is 3% per year. Their rate increases from June 2020 to November 2021 is a whopping 60%. I completely understand the cost of doing business. However, I find it difficult to believe that a self-storage company would have an increase in operating expenses greater than any other industry in America – especially for a self-storage unit with little overhead other than insurance, utilities, mowing/snow removal, property taxes and a full-time employee. I'm sure I might be missing another item or two, but you get my point here. This is a low overhead operating business.In all fairness, this game is played among all self-storage owners. They offer a lower rate to hook you into leasing and then slam you with continuous rate increases betting that it will be inconvenient for you to pack up and move your items elsewhere. Overall, this storage unit meets all my needs and expectations. However, they are one rate increase away from me taking my business permanently elsewhere.

Clean, quick and friendly service, love the locked entrance/exit gates, makes me feel very secure storing stuff there.
