These guys were very fair and were attentive to details and did good work. Got double chip and seal with them. I have a big drive that was in pretty bad shape; 12,000 sq feet needed to be resurfaced. They came in and did 4-5 hrs of prep work on a Saturday, then came back Monday and did the double layer. Made sure to protect my garage doors and flagstone walkway from any tar. Honestly I don’t think you can find a better deal price wise than Standard. And honestly, after a not so great experience with an asphalt company that did the very top of my driveway, much better experience with Pat and John at Standard.

Quality work by a very professional team. They use an oil base to seal their work which last much longer than the material other companies use. So, I obtained three quotes and not only did I receive a great driveway, but there were also the lowest price.

The team returned on July 11, 2025, to address several areas of concern with the initial paving job, which I reported after noticing defects. John was professional and appeared genuine in his intent to make the requested repairs right. During this visit, they applied an oil-based sealant as part of the corrective work. I appreciated the effort and hope the repair and sealing will improve the quality and durability of the job.
As of now, we are one year into a two-year warranty. I’m hopeful the work holds up, but I’ll be monitoring it closely over the coming months. While the crew may appear professional on-site, the true quality of the work often becomes clear after the job is done and time has passed.
This second visit gives the team a chance to stand by their work and restore trust. I will update this review again based on how the repairs hold up.
Buyers: Be cautious, patient, and always inspect the work overtime before posting a review.

I normally don’t post reviews, but I feel it’s necessary to share my experience with Standard Paving to help others avoid the same frustration.
On September 14, 2024, Standard Paving installed a new asphalt driveway at my home. The job included a warranty for workmanship and materials, as well as an additional one-year warranty for an oil sealant application. Less than a year later, the driveway began showing serious structural issues: centerline separation, multiple cracks, crumbling edges, a visible hole near the garage, exposed stones, water leaking through seams, and a noticeably thin and hollow layer of asphalt—clearly less than 2 inches thick.
I made multiple good-faith attempts to resolve the situation, including a certified letter and a formal legal demand letter requesting inspection and warranty-covered repairs. I gave a clear deadline and documented every issue. To date, there has been no response whatsoever—despite also paying for the sealant warranty that clearly failed.
Also important to note: do not be quick to leave a positive Google review when asked during installation or immediately after service. Please allow time before you submit a review. Their journeymen, John, tried to push me to post a review on the day of service. I was hesitant and said I’d wait—and I’m so glad I did. This is why their ratings appear high online, but in reality, they're not warranted. Buyers beware.
I expected professionalism, accountability, and basic follow-through. Sadly, I’ve experienced none of that and am now left with costly issues and no support. Please do your research before hiring.

Job Well Done by Standard Paving - John West, his son and crew. Reasonable price to remove old 18-1/2’ x 30-1/2’ asphalt driveway, 3 tons of gravel and 3 inches of new asphalt. They even brought a street sweeper to cleanup the road afterwards.

I'd like to start by saying that I'm a very happy customer. Standard Paving solved an ongoing driveway drainage problem that I have been dealing with for years. The crew was very professional and answered all my questions. The work was completed in a timely fashion and exceeded my expectations. I was amazed by how thorough the cleanup process was completed. I would highly recommend this company. I almost forgot, be sure to get the seal done, it really takes it to another level.
