The food was delicious, our table set up was beautiful and shopping in the store was so fun, excited to go back for the pumpkin scones, I'm totally in love with this place.

I almost never post on social media, but this was too appalling not to share. I stopped into The Things I Love in the historic district to witness who I can only assume was the store's owner (or manager) verbally berating her new and inexperiened employee for a small mishap with the register (from what I could gather the new employee pressed the wrong button and then neither of them could figure out how to backtrack the sale). Instead of waiting for customers to exit and then using the error as teaching moment, she continued to degrade and embarrass this young woman for a mistake that even she herself didn't know how to fix. She then went on to chastise her for her choice of attire until the young lady was in tears. When I spoke up on the young woman's behalf, she took zero accountability for her truly disgusting behavior and told me that I was being rude. I will never spend another dollar there and hope that young woman finds a job with people who know the meaning of respect.

This was my second time experiencing this lovely, inviting tea room!! Joanne ensures that the entire experience is cozy and gratifying! The food is delicious and the tea is devine. My sisters and I truly enjoy this when we come up to visit!!!

Try totally vintage or calico jacks. Honestly try any place before going in here, the owner treats you like your money isnt good enough for her unless you look like her, old and white.

Rude and uncomfortable interaction especially for Mother’s Day.

It is such a beautiful place. The tea room was set up beautifully. They have really beautiful trinkets. I just love the overall decor of the room. We had a lovely tea party..

I went at Xmas time so maybe the door isn't usually so claustrophobic but there was barely any room to maneuver around another person in the back half of the store. Pretty pricey, as to be expected in an Old Town boutique. There was some interesting stuff but I had to get out while my friend took photos.Apparently, they do tea parties which is kinda cool.

This place is a home goods store with a tea tasting room on occasions. There are so many really cute home goods here. I was especially into the United State tea clothes and cups. There was a different one for each state. Sort of like the Starbucks been there series.

I needed some small sandwiches and desserts for a out of town tea party I was attending and I had called the shop about 2 or 3 days before to see what I could get because I thought they were cute. I call and I get someone named Denise who was very sweet and told me I could get my order done for the day I needed and if I were to come in that she would talk to me and let me know the prices of everything, so I agreed. I get off work to go up there today (after 3 like she requested) and I don't get to speak with anyone, the girl at the front told me to either call back or come back later before 6 when they close and talk to a Joanne. I called an hour before closing and told her I was up there and did not get to speak with her (she was on the phone at the time) and that I called yesterday to discuss prices and an order plan for Saturday. Joanne goes on to say that all her kitchen people are gone for today and there's no way to make the food for me and they're not a restaurant so it's difficult to get the food made by tomorrow since tea parties are done twice a week. For 1 it's not my fault that the information was given to me wrong I only did what I was told and that was to come see her today after 3 and we would discuss something and 2 I believe if you have your own business you should try to help out as many customers as possible because they can spread the word around town for you and grow your business and 3 it was almost liked she really had no sympathy on the phone for me about how sorry she was, I basically felt like I was talking to an AI. I do NOT recommend this place if this is how they treat people trying to make THEM money. Will NOT be going back since I was not #1 priority and especially a NEW customer.
