The Econo Lodge in Martinsville is a practical and cost-effective choice for travelers needing a place to sleep. The staff is consistently described as very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The property is undergoing renovations, with some rooms featuring wonderful new mattresses, new carpeting, and freshly painted walls. Several guests found their rooms to be pretty clean and the beds extremely comfortable. However, experiences with room conditions vary. Some guests reported issues with uncomfortable beds, stained sheets, and furniture that is dark and crusty, though renovations may address this. Bathroom walls can be dirty, and some guests mentioned concerns about bed bugs or fleas, while another long-term guest has never seen any bugs. The outdoor pool was noted as very dirty and unusable. The ice machine appeared to have mold and mildew. The complimentary breakfast is very good but pretty limited and sparse in choice. It must be eaten in a common breakfast area, which can be inconvenient for those seeking privacy. Parking can be a little crowded. Overall, while not luxurious and in need of some touch-ups, the hotel offers excellent service and a convenient location for a budget-friendly stay.
Requested a late check out was given until 1 pm at 9 AM housekeeping was banging on my door, keep in mind I didn't get to the hotel until almost 11pm.

I was not impressed with the bed. The sheets have stains all over them. The room was pretty much clean, but I had to take a cold shower last night. There was very little breakfast choice.
