Never have available sizes, usually larger shoe sizes. Was offered, we can order your size, No! I can't find it here when I want it. I'd like to try it first. Greetings upon entering but usually the staff are standing at the front gossiping or talking but never offer assistance.

Stop in while waiting on car repairs decide to buy only to stand at the register 5 min before someone came and helped the person AFTER Me,,,, won't be back!

All the employees were sitting around the cash register chatting I was there for 30 minutes trying to find a shoe thst fit and wasn't till I drop a box by accident that one came over and have very little knowledge of what shoes the have and there was not organation to their shoes

Walked in randomly to purchase a pair of black sandals and ended up purchasing two pairs and then ended up also purchasing two pairs of $54 Men’s Crocs. All together between the two purchases we spent $170. We are in town for the NASCAR race. As we have bought Crocs size 10 multiple times we didn’t take the receipt and brought them back to the camper and took tags off all four pair of shoes we purchased. We didn’t even take the receipt or boxes for the sandals that were purchased.The next day upon putting on one of the pair of crocs it was discovered that there was a manufacturing defect. One shoe fit, and the other was visibly smaller.We returned to the store to exchange them for a pair that was the correct size.The woman that was “in charge” but not a manager said she could not do anything at all. We explained what happened and she repeated she could not help us. We advised we had the charge on our credit card and could pull it up and she said ok. Then she said well does it say it is Martinsville? It did. She then said that showing her the charge does nothing. We could have purchased two pair and then taken another pair without paying for them and now we were bringing them back. We asked why we would spend almost $200 for shoes and then steal a pair and her response is that it happens all the time.She advised we could come back to speak with the manager at 2pm as she is the only one that can make that type of decision.We asked if there was someone she could call. We were told no.Never during the initial interaction was there an offer of apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience. Zero empathy or human kindness.When we returned at 2pm the original employee was waiting on a customer and when she saw us she turned to the manager that was waiting on another customer and interrupted the interaction to whisper talk the details to the manager.Further showing that neither customer they were currently waiting on really mattered and a lack of professionalism.The manager asked what she could help us with. We briefly explained what had happened and that we had come in to exchange for a pair that was sized correctly and that we had not taken the receipt for the shoes. She indicated that she could go out back to see if the receipt was left with the end of day paperwork and then potentially we could exchange them. If the receipt was not attached then we would not be able to proceed.We ended up leaving both pair of unworn shoes at the store and telling them we would be disputing the charge with the credit card company.I am not one to leave reviews. I have never experienced the complete lack of customer service skills as I did today. The manager never apologized or offered to try to figure out a way to help us. Both employees went right to “we can’t do this, this, this”.There are so many ways this could have gone differently.1. The moment she said “you could have just walked out with them and now you are trying to bring them back” she was insinuating that we as a customer was in the wrong. He did not originally want a refund. He wanted a pair of shoes that fit correctly.2. Statements like, “Let me see what we can do to rectify this”. “I am so sorry this has happened.” “This is what I CAN do for you” as opposed to just telling us what she cannot do.3. If a manager has to make these types of decisions then there should be an employee empowered to take care of the customer in the moment. Telling someone they have to come back 3-4 hours later to have resolution just causes more inconvenience and decreases brand loyalty for Shoe Dept.It has left the situation unresolved and the next time I need to stop in and get shoes, or make a plan to purchase shoes, Shoe Dept will not be my first choice.

They say on their website they open at 10 am but when I got their a little after 10 they have not opened up yet, I sat there half an hour and they still didn't show up so I left. I am not pleased, if your not gonna open up at the time you have on your website then you need to change it!

The reason why I gave this location a 2 star review is not because the store was unclean or they didn't have what I was looking for.They had what I wanted but one of the pair of the shoes I was buying was a display shoe, the only one left in my size, so I tried to get help about buying this pair at a discount because one shoe was dirty. The problem was that nobody wanted to help and kept passing me on to someone else. As it turns out I waited for 20 minutes. the Young Girl was socializing, laughing and carrying on and saw me waiting but wouldn't stop socializing long enough to help, so rather than being rude,I left the store and didn't buy any shoes.

I am very upset with this store I ordered 2 pair of shoes inside the spite to be delivered to my home address. This was on July 19th 2022 and I have not gotten any help with this issue and lost the money. I paid for 2 pair of shoes and management has basically said there isn't anything I can do inthis situation. I have called customer service.. ans asked for help by numerous employees. Kierra gave me the wrong number to customer service and would not give me any information. Then looked in their web order bookend my order wasn't even there. I will be contacting corporate. But I do not recommend this store at all.

Bought shoes was given two completely different shoes.... theres no reason to mess that up when you're looking at the exact shoe very unprofessional won't be going back
