This is a fun place. Just CRAZY EXPENSIVE. We've been 3 times in 14 years. Just thought about going again this week but for a family of 4 it's $290.00. More expensive than King's Dominion, Busch Gardens, 6 Flags or Hershey Park...insane. Not going. If it was affordable would go quite often.

Ridiculously over-priced for the attractions offered. Horrible front desk employees, NO refunds, and a very creepy man that they allowed to sit in the waterpark with bloodshot eyes and stare at kids. Would NEVER return, and would certainly not recommend. DreamWorks indoor waterpark in NJ is infinitely better for all age groups. I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was so off-putting that it needed to be shared, IMO.What a terrible and expensive learning lesson. Nearly $300 down the drain. We stayed for an hour at best.

Super nice staff. The flow rider was super fun!! I did a couple barrel rolls!I had a blast on the slides and even the lazy river was pretty fun! Great place. Also the shop upstairs had a GREAT selection of Hurley and other brand swimwear and beachgear! Love it. I'm glad to be an owner at Massanutten!Update 3 years later. Had a blast here with my family. My son (2) and I went around and around on the lazy River! He even had fun in the kiddie section! Slides are fast as ever without a tube. Very fun environment.

In comparing Massanutten with another indoor waterpark, here are some pros and consCons:-The waterpark claims it's 85 degrees year round, but in both of the times we have gone - once on a cold day, and once on a warmer day - the water has been quite cool. For an adult, maybe this is fine, but my kids are always shivering after a few slides and want to spend the rest of their time in the overly crowded warm pool. By the end of the day, that warm pool is pretty gross. Great Wolf (GW) was also pretty cold, and the one we went to didn't have any warm pools or hot tubs.- There isn't any hot water in the shower area! After spending several hours shivering, my kids really were looking forward to a hot shower. Nope. It was cold. And you had to keep pushing a button to make the water spray. There's a huge fan blowing in the shower area to keep things dry, but the combo of cold kids, cold water, and a fan blowing cold air on you is not a pleasant experience. The showers are public and open whereas the changing rooms are private. At GW the showers are hot and the changing room is part of the private shower.- We have been twice, about 1.5yrs apart.. The first time, we were charged the full 42" and over rate even though one of my kids was just under. They didn't even measure, just told us they could tell she was 42". We went along with it bc we didn't want her to be the only person in our family not able to go down the slides, but still kinda suss. GW has different height requirements for different slides.- If you're staying at the lodge or in one of the townhomes, you still have to pay the full rate for the water park. Compared with GW in which the park admission is included to include the day you arrive and the day you leave and where you can easily find deals for under $150/ntPros:- Nice to have a warm pool for kids and adults and a hot pool for adults only. Not all GW lodges have this.- Smaller and not as loud or crowded as GW, which I consider a good thing.- day pass is less expensive than GW (if you don't stay at the lodge in which case it's included with your stay) and there are discounts for weekday and military- waterpark is in a standalone building so it's pretty easy to get in and out instead of walking thru a massive resort maze like at GW. This could also be a con if you're staying at Massanutten resort and don't feel like driving to another building.- If you are 42" or over you can slide down all the slides. At GW, some slides require you to he taller.- At night the park was virtually empty and there was barely any wait for the slidesFood is equally overpriced at both Massanutten and GW, but that's to be expected.Overall, we enjoy going to both Massanutten and GW for different reasons and to experience different features. Definitely purchase tickets in advance or you'll pay more at the door.

The Waterpark was ok, cold indoors, the food was over priced and was cold and dry...we got burgers bun was hard burger was cold n dry. The chicken tenders we got where the same dry n nasty. So for $70.00 for 3 cheeseburgers n a chicken tender meal that over half was thrown away. You will never see me again. Overpriced and absolutely not worth it AT ALL.

This could be nice if they didn't over pack it. I went there and it was so packed that you could barely walk. There weren't any seats available for parents and don't even think about getting something to eat unless you wanted to wait over a hour in line and then stand to eat it. It was under staffed but they make sure to over book so they get paid and you are left with a expectation that you paid a premium price for i nice resort but that isn't the case. They just want the sale and do not provide the experience that is expected.

Extremely packed on the weekend. Must buy tickets in advance and get here early like when they open or else there are no chairs. I'm a paid observer (almost as much as a regular ticket) and was sitting on the ground for an hr until one seat became available. Definitely expect wait times for slides and food. And if you're sitting alone, people that work there come up to you multiple times asking you to buy into their timeshares ? I rated a 4 because my toddler had fun.

Will NEVER go again! Oversold way too many tickets!! No chairs? Okay, I get it. But lockers completely sold out and no where to put belongings?? We had 14 people with no where to put towels, shoes, etc. People were literally finding every nook and corner to shove their stuff. Not to mention how crowded the actual water park was inside!! Also, the place is DISGUSTING. Floors mildew-y … Someone was BLEEDING in the hot springs and the lifeguard just let them stay in ? For as pricey as this place is, I’m quite angry. DON’T DO IT!!

Light up the park is over priced and over rated. There's about 5 minutes worth of things to see to walk around the outdoor water park. No things to do. Maybe three places for a nice picture. Wouldn't do again.
