About Fort Chiswell RV Park
Fort Chiswell RV Park is a quiet and convenient stop located just off the highway, surrounded by beautiful farmland and cow pastures. The sites are level, spacious, and big rig friendly, with plenty of grass and space between them. Although close to the highway, a large hill blocks most noise, ensuring peaceful nights. The owner operators and staff are very helpful and laid back, providing easy and fast check-in, accommodating late arrivals, and assisting with site selection. The facilities include recently redone restrooms and a laundry room with a connected rec room and covered porch. While there can be an occasional farm smell and some activity noise near the check-in area, it is a nice place to walk a dog and is highly recommended for a stopover, with many guests planning to return.

We loved this campground just off I81 / I77, and with it being surrounded by cow pastures, there's no highway noise. We were in #2 which was right next to where RVs sit while checking in, so that was noisy at times. Sites are level, nice place to walk around with the dog, check in was easy, and it was quiet at night.

The owner operators took great care of us! We had a late check-in and arrived after dark. They arranged for us to have front slots which was very handy as we were travel weary

Convenient location. Spacious sites, gravel but level. Would definitely recommend for overnight stay.
