Wanted to be in VA for the last leg of my journey. Found this LOVELY place, quite by accident, and I’m very glad I did. The owners are so friendly and welcoming. They have a fire pit but the winds were too strong to have a fire during my stay; however, the owners dropped off ingredients for s’mores which we prepared in the microwave much to my granddaughter’s delight! CLEAN ROOM!

Stopped by on my way to Florida. Perfect location for a pit stop. As I was using I 77 heading south. I made reservations in advance as I knew I would be arriving late in the day. Check in was easy, room clean, comfortable. I almost forgot the coffee and cinnamon rolls the next morning. Delicious!
Rooms: Clean and comfortable.
Nearby activities: Restaurant nearby. Good food if you like Mexican. Gas and fast food just down the road.
Safety: Area is well lit.

Service and location was great the rooms not so much there where no blankets only a throw and a sheet on the bed the heater made a banging noise everytime it came on and the room smelled really bad like an animal had been in it and smell was covered up with pine sol defenently not worth the 120$ it cost me. And you should no its against the law to charge for a service animal i fif show her i.d. and my friend had no pets and was charged the same .

What a peaceful, quaint, clean, and affordable place to stay! The area is beautiful and in such a convenient, yet tucked away location. Extra plus that there are pet friendly rooms. Michelle & Jim have added such lovely touches and make this place special. We cant wait to see what else they do in the future here!
Noteworthy details: Fire pit with s’mores in the evening, small fenced in area for dogs, picnic tables, complimentary cinnamon rolls

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Fox Mountain Inn, a lovely restored old-school motor court in the beautiful Virginia mountains. The new innkeepers provided great hospitality including extra clean rooms, homemade cinnamon buns each morning and a community fire pit in the evenings. We’ll be back!

What a gem and a great stop adding much fun to the trip. This motel is conveniently located right off the i81 with a great Mexican restaurant right on the property for evening dinners. The owners are very kind life loving people who really care about their patron’s comfort and enjoyment. The property has clean rooms, an outdoor fire pit with smores at night and morning coffee with fresh cinnamon rolls. This place is also biker friendly and owners provide maps of the scenic routes to take in the area. Former bikers themselves they cater to the culture. Refreshing to stay in a play such as this that brings us back to all American traditions. I would rate higher if I could and will definitely be coming back!

We were staying here for Helene storm working restorations. Last minute accommodations for several days made for several blue collar workers. The owners are amazingly kind and accommodating. The campfire area was perfect after a long day of working the storms. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable.

Conveniently located right off the Interstate. The room was clean and had been recently refurbished. A great Mexican restaurant next door!

We stopped by this place for our anniversary. What a pity we only stayed one night. We enjoyed it a lot. Jim and Michele were very approachable, they made us feel like family. The place is pleasant and quiet, the price was very affordable and the place was very clean. We will definitely be back. Thanks Michele and Jim.

The owners of this place couldn’t be any nicer and more accommodating. The rooms are spacious and very clean! Beds are comfortable with great pillows, AC blows nice and cold, and Roku tv in room. There was a little welcome basket of goodies when I arrived. Wide parking spaces and very quiet. Highly recommend!

This was an unexpected pleasure. I picked it randomly online for it's proximity to Fort Chiswell Zoo and it's great prices. It is under new ownership, and the new owners couldn't be more genuinely friendly and helpful. They are remodeling and updating and everything was clean and the beds were comfy! They built a bonfire just for me and my 8 yr old son and gave us fresh homemade cinnamon rolls for breakfast! The Aurora bueralis was showing it's beautiful pinks and purples in the sky that night, and the owners told us what time and where the best view would be. I think it would be great if you had anything from an overnight visit to a long term stay!
Rooms: My room had two comfy beds, a desk, a good size mini fridge, a microwave, a hairdryer, shampoo, soap, and a comfy chair.
Nearby activities: We went to the pretty park a couple miles away with a creek running thru it, and we loved Fort Chiswell Zoo nearby!
Safety: I felt safe, and I don't always.
Food and drinks: Homemade cinnamon rolls from the owner for breakfast. A Mexican restaurant right next door which provided quick, affordable, good food.

The hosts are very kind caring people that want your visit to be the best it can be. Bonfires are provided at night and homemade cinnamon rolls and coffee for free.The rooms are clean. The beds are comfortable. The bath towels are soft. Clean floors, no carpeting. Those with fur babies are on a separate side of the inn to make sure no one has an allergy problem. There is a good restaurant next to the inn. Don't pass this inn by. Enjoy a great stay at a fair price.
