Sugar Tree Country Store is an authentic, old time country store established in 2005 in McDowell, Virginia. It is a real, great place with a wonderful ambiance, like stepping back in time. The store sells a wide variety of interesting and unusual items, including pure maple products, delicious maple syrup, jellies, honey, apple butter, maple candy, fudge, maple sugar pecans, and maple doughnuts that are absolutely unbelievable. They also offer gifts, candles, handcrafted toys, blankets, pottery, and more. It is a must-stop location, especially during the Maple Festival, where you can find Brunswick stew. The store is very authentic and worth the wait.
Jane and I were passing through The area and just had to stop to see this wonderful place. We are glad we did. We met Glen and he was very Hospitable Told us all about the building and his products and we chatted for about an hour. It was great to meet you, Glen. We won’t soon forget about you

Always a treat! Old time country store ambiance, and not because they’re faking it, this place is real. Been coming here for decades, always buy maple candy, fudge, and syrup, even Igbo already have some! Candy is gone before I get home, fudge soon after.
