Sugar Tree Country Store is an authentic, old time country store established in 2005 in McDowell, Virginia. It is a real, great place with a wonderful ambiance, like stepping back in time. The store sells a wide variety of interesting and unusual items, including pure maple products, delicious maple syrup, jellies, honey, apple butter, maple candy, fudge, maple sugar pecans, and maple doughnuts that are absolutely unbelievable. They also offer gifts, candles, handcrafted toys, blankets, pottery, and more. It is a must-stop location, especially during the Maple Festival, where you can find Brunswick stew. The store is very authentic and worth the wait.
Great place to learn, buy and experience the Maple culture of Highland County, VA! They sell and make their signature Maple Syrup on site and you can see how they process with machinery in the back which is actually their Maple Museum! Recommend to visit and take a souvenir!
