I would like to state how deeply frustrated I am with Capitol One Credit card. In October I had hundreds of fraudulent you tube chatges on my credit card that continued for weeks without notification. I am a small business owner and over $9000.00 in charges has severely impacted my business and employees . For months I have been told that the charges are being investigated by the fraud department and then found out today that the case was closed back in November. First, I am disheartened by the lack of transparency and failure for Capitol One to not have preventer this fraud by a simple call after the first 10, .99 cent youtube transactions, and well as to disregard a struggling small business owner

Users BEWARE of "CAPITOL ONE Journey Credit card "...When making my January 2024 payment I was unaware there would be a shortage. When contacting the company for an unrelated issue, I was told my account would be requesting an updated payment going forward. Capitol ONE Journey had already received the original monthly payment due plus extra $$ just a few days earlier before I called. I was now being charged a $29.00 late fee for the prior payment shortage though extra money had been added to payment. Since I have never been late with a payment, I requested a one-time forgiveness. Despite a stellar payment record, this supervisor (Mr. Vincent) not only indicated that he had the power to make a fair decision but was CHOOSING no to! Despite being a long time account holder, this was the response I received. Businesses wonder why customers give them a bad name.

Stay far away from this company . I accepted an offer for a 0% introductory rate credit card. They never notified me that the 0% rate was canceling. I have excellent credit . They charged me 30% interest. I have never paid an interest rate of that amount in my entire life. My credit rating is almost 800. I called in spoke to representative expressed my concerns she put me on hold and never came back to the phone. I called back spoke to an account manager who was extremely rude. I paid the balance off immediately! Stay far far far away from this company they do not have your interest at heart. They are hurting and damaging families

after notifying Capital One that I lost my credit card, at first they would not accept my phone number because it was not the original number I used to open the account. This is very strange because people are using their cell phone number as their main number. After about four tries to get the customer service agents accept-and submitting copies of my drivers License, Capital One refused an uploaded cop. Something is very Strange about what Capital One is doing to me. Capital One is point blank telling me that they don't want to do Business with me anymore. They are rejecting me with the most ridiculous Excuses any corporation can use. Anytime a large business reject sending you a replacement credit card using Old phone numbers, not accepting your new phone number, rejecting uploaded copies of your drivers license, you know they are no good. Racism, my zip code and keeping a high balance are all part of the blatant discrimination they freely use to shut down my account. I have To use my social security number to pay my bill monthly. I have been Calling in my payments so the took away the envelope as an option to Pay my bill by mail. This is what Racism is at it's best by white America

No, Just No. Don't waste your time and don't give this company your money. I had 3 cards with this company, great credit, and it didn't matter. For years.... credit increase requests kept being denied. Customer service is terrible. At one point, I got locked out of my online account, could not remember my password, and even uploaded my ID to prove who I was. Tried several ways to say "this is me" to customer service but still could not get into my account online- only through phone and paper mail. Ridiculous. I ended up closing all 3 accounts, and when Walmart switched to Capital One from Synchrony, I closed my Walmart card solely for the reason it was now managed by Capital One. Never will use Capital One again!

I am sick to death of this bank! It receives negative 1! It was originally ING Bank way back in the early 2000's, but Capital One came in and swallowed it up. They completely ruined a good thing. I opened my ING account back then because of the fantastic interest rates they offered. That great interest rate and many of the good things ING offered are long gone, along with satisfactory customer service. It is almost impossible to get your issue timely and appropriately handled when calling in. Be prepared to spend most of the day if you call. The phone tree makes you jump through hoops of fire to get help. It diverts you down many rabbit holes to finally get to "a human", and that individual cannot help you. You are always transferred to someone else, "a specialist", but now you have to wait 20 minutes to an hour to speak to the specialist. Nine times out of 10, this person cannot help, and you are again transferred to someone else, yet another extended wait ensues, and you have now told your story at least 3 times. In the event you have a fraudulent issue, even if you request it not be done, Capital One will deposit the funds back into your account. They say they are investigating the case, but if it cannot be resolved, or the fraud team makes an independent decision not in favor of you, the defrauded customer, they will just withdraw the funds from the account, WITHOUT notice. This has led to Capital One reaping the overdraft fees they caused in the first place! Don't expect Capital One to honor 3rd party checks without a hassle, and complete disregard for their customers! If a 3rd party check is deposited, Capital One will hold it for a FULL 7 BUSINESS DAYS, just so they can squeeze every last penny of interest from it. It matters not if the funds are deposited and collected from the 3rd party entity immediately, the check will still be held until the very end of 7 full business days. Don't call customer service for explanation, you won't be told anything about it, except the funds are there, but you won't have access until they decide to grant it! This bank is run by thieves, and I will close these accounts as quickly as possible. My recommendation is for anyone to avoid this financial institution like the plague, and find a different place for your money.

I had a couple problems with the internet out and once the capital one credit site was down for repairs and they hit me with a $25 late fee each time and will not credit them back, everytime I call it says longer than normal wait times and it don't matter what time you call, I just tried at 7am, est and got the same crap about long wait times , also I have never got an AMERICAN on the phone , it's always someone from a 3rd world country , that can barely speak English , and can almost never do what you need done , I was on a phone for 45min with some guy because he couldn't speak English well at at , I spent most of the time trying to understand him, and when we hung up I was in the same spot as I was when I called , I asked him where he was from and he said he could not tell me that, and I get the the same answer from ea person I've called, I'm so done with this company !!!!! They just wanna hire people from 3rd world country's. To blow smoke up your butts and ACT LIKE THEIR HELPING !!!but in reality they are NOT HELP THE CUSTOMER!!! It sucks that capital one has to hire people to answer a phone, that don't know anything speak bad English , someone told me that they get paid $4 an hour. Well if that's true , that's to much , I will never give a good review of capital one to anyone and also will share this with everyone because if their not will to work with me on a "$25 late charge" what happens when you can't make a payment for a month or so??? I'll bet they will ring your phone off the hook , send out nasty collection letters , ding your credit report !!! So until they do something about my $25 late fee I'm going to share this information with everyone , if you are thinking of getting a capital one credit card , please google their phone number and call them , when you finally get thru I'll bet the farm it's someone from a 3rd world country , ask where their from , they will say we can't give that info out, but they want your personal info. Please do your home work before , look into all reviews and mostly call them as if you needed to talk to customer service , most time when I call it sounds like people from India , but some times it's hard to tell because the English is so bad.

Horrible. Philippines? Really? How many copies of my drivers license and utility bill do you need? Why cant you tell me why you restricted my account after using it only three times? How many times does your script say "Unfortunately, ma'am..."? Now i have to jump through hoops to prove to you who i am? And you think i am really going to send you my entire bank statement when you have my phone number, email address, drivers license and utility bill? Are you serious? And dont you think it's funny that my utility company doesnt want to confirm MY information to you when you can only say "I am with Capital One's Fraud Department" - so you ask me to send you another utility company statement? I wish i could select zero stars. Dont apply for a SAVOR card. A stick in the eye would be better.

My experience with Capital One has been extremely disappointing, to say the least. Despite consistently making timely payments, they abruptly closed my account without any prior warning or explanation. This lack of communication is simply unacceptable and has left me feeling frustrated and betrayed. To make matters worse, when I reached out to one of the representatives with ID# WEU624, who claimed to be the highest authority within the company, she displayed an alarming lack of empathy and understanding. It's unacceptable for a company representative, especially someone claiming to be in a position of power, to dismiss the concerns of their customers without attempting to assist or find a resolution. The way this situation has been handled has not only affected my relationship with Capital One, but it has also left me with doubts about their integrity and professionalism. I trusted this company with my financial matters, only to be let down when I needed support the most. I plan on sharing my negative experience with my family, friends, and anyone who will listen to ensure they avoid dealing with Capital One. It's disheartening to witness such disregard for their customers' satisfaction and well-being. I urge all associates and potential customers to steer clear of a shocking lack of empathy and understanding. the representative with ID# WEU624 seemed completely indifferent to my situation and failed to acknowledge how their actions have impacted me. Not only was the closure of my account unfair, but the customer service I received from Mosha was far from satisfactory. She arrogantly claimed to be the highest authority within Capital One and brushed off any possibility of helping me. It is astonishing that someone in such a position of authority could be so dismissive and unhelpful. The way I have been treated by Capital One has left a lasting negative impression on me. I can't help but feel that their supposed commitment to customer satisfaction is nothing more than empty rhetoric. This experience has made me question the integrity of the company as a whole. I am incredibly disappointed in how Capital One handles its customers. With their abrupt account closures and unhelpful customer service, I strongly advise my family, friends, and associates to steer clear of this company. There are plenty of other financial institutions that prioritize their customers and understand the value of communication and loyalty. I hope that my review helps others avoid the frustration and disappointment I have experienced with Capital One. It is truly disheartening to see a company that I once trusted fail so miserably in its obligation to provide fair business relationships

Not sure if there actually is an ATM at this location or not, but if there is, it is inside the building, and the building is closed on Sundays. The security guard was nice enough to tell me there is a Capital One ATM at a nearby 1590 building which can be accessed on Sundays, which is NOT on the map. This is the second ATM in a row today alone that turned out to not actually be there. And this is not the first time when Google maps has out-of-date Capital One ATM locations. Looks like capital one just doesn't care about keeping those up to date. Very disappointing.

I purchased an electric bike using my Capitol One MasterCard. The bike was not working properly, so I paid an independent bike repair service to check it out. They found all kinds of problems, so I returned the lemon bike to the manufacturer. Meanwhile, I disputed the charge with Capitol One. I continually supplied Capitol One with all the information that I had and with the Emails that I exchanged with Heybike. Despite everything that I provided, they eventually charged it back to me. So Heybike has the bike and I am billed for it. It would've been so easy, based on the paperwork that I provided to the bank, to do a charge back in my favor. Every time I supplied Capitol One with the requested paperwork, the agent said that this should be enough and they would decide in my favor in a few days. Another lie was the claim that I didn't get my paperwork to them in time, which I did. I have been with the bank for 12 years with a perfect record. They did not stand up for me.

I just got off the phone with Jean (ID #IWX471) who was base in the Philipphines. She was so heartless and did not even try to empathize with my situation. My bill was due Sept 21, 2003 by 8pm est. time -- I paid that day by 8pm west cost time. They took the money out my account that day (the 21st) and they would not reverse the fee. So I just closed the account because I have other cards that function on EST but they will reverse the charge if you make it that day. Capital One is just an ass and it reflects in their policy and employees -- I will never get another credit card with them.
