Ly was amazing! I was able to snag a last minute appointment with her and not only did she do a fabulous job cutting off several inches, but she went out of her way to squeeze in an extra toner service for me. She really listened to what I wanted and went above and beyond to help me love my hair again! My head feels so much lighter now with the new layers and shorter length and the color is perfect. 10 out of 10! ⭐️

I have been going to the Hair Cuttery in McLean for many years and Trinh Ly has been my steady stylist ever since Sue V. moved to California. Trinh is so very thoughtful, professional, talented, sweet, cheerful and gentle - she gives outstanding service and really cares about sending me off with the best look possible, even down to adjusting my left side front to match the right side's cowlick! We always end my visit to the McLean Hair Cuttery by her wrestling me away from the credit card reader at the register so I can't leave her an extra tip! So very much appreciate having found the best stylist in McLean... Thanks so much Trinh, <3 Tom

This is the second time getting my hair cut by Melvy— long layers with curtain bangs. Melvy is incredible. I feel like such a queen every time I leave her chair. Wash is such a good massage, cut is so detail-oriented, and blowout with such patience and thoroughness. Obsessed and will continue to be back. Highly recommend.

Trinh is a truly talented hair stylist and the only person I’ve trusted to put bleach on my hair. I would want her services regardless, but the prices are very reasonable, so it’s an easy yes. My hair has held this full balayage perfectly for long periods of time, and Trinh has great recommendations for maintenance (without just trying to sell you on products).

Hannah is absolutely AMAZING! I get a trim with long layers and she gives me supermodel hair. The cut, blowout, not a detail is missed. Can’t recommend her enough. And she is so sweet!

This review is not for the salon but the person who cut my hair.
It was one of my very unsatisfied hair cut. the respectful Asian lady was like careless to me. starts with washing hair, it was like she was washing 3 inch diameter of my hair, funny, she put the shampoo in one spot and almost no touching and rinse right a way. I was in shocked. what kind of washing was that. she was super slow but the whole thing was just start and finish and nothing in-between. the main part of the prosses was missing.
when it comes to the hair cut it was the same. I sit and she start with the Hair Clippers around my hair and boom done, I was in shocked are we finished and she said yes. how could i explain lol she was one of the very slowest ever people I have seen but my whole hair cut was less that 5 minutes, It was not quick some of the prosses was missing. I had to fix it somewhere else.

I had a nice layer of dyed blonde hair across the top of my head before I got my haircut. I asked for a clean up. They butchered my whole head, making my back left side shorter than my back right side and my front right side shorter than my front left side. Not only is the proportion of my blonde hair a mess to look at, but also I’m now restricted to one very mediocre hairstyle that does not even suit me as that’s the only style that hides this asymmetrical mess on my head. I got this haircut right before vacation, and all my photos are horrible. I’ve been here multiple times before with ok haircuts, but this one in particular just makes me so mad.

Got very bad haircut, very poor quality, barber was on the phone majority of time. Phone call caused her to mess up. Cut significantly shorter and was uneven. I have had a haircut twice here, and first time looked good, but the second time gave me a much worse quality. Well never come back
