The store manager is an amazing and very professional! I have known Soheila for almost a decade. She is the very honest person and most responsible person I have ever known. She is very professional and knowledgeable, She always strives to do the right thing and accommodate customers needs. She always follows Max Mara company policies and is excellent at explaining it to customers. I have always had only positive experience at Tysons Corner Max Mara store. The store manager and all sales professionals are doing an excellent job in providing customers with stores return policies. It helps to avoid any issues and misunderstandings following purchase transactions.

I purchased an expensive coat from this store expecting it to be a piece I could wear for years to come. While my initial experience shopping with Sae Yeung was great, the after-purchase experience has been abysmal. The first time I wore it, I experienced so much shedding that I immediately contacted customer service asking if that was normal. They instructed me to go to the store for consultation, albeit I did not go due to time constraints. I wore it twice and put the coat away for the season. This past winter when I go to wear it, I find the coat has a bald spot which then tore, so I immediately contact customer service. At first, they seem accommodating and indicated they have a 3-year warranty but when I provided them the proof of purchase/receipt from the Tysons store, they tell me to go to the store for warranty claims.I contact the store and speak to the store manager, Ms. Soheila Samani, who immediately shuts me down and says "I don't know why they told you that, we don't offer a warranty" followed by accusatory "you must've caught it on something" (mind you, she has not seen photos yet). I contact customer service again relaying exactly what Soheila said to me.Almost immediately, she calls me back and says she received communication from customer service and has seen my pictures, but doubled down on claims that it looks like I ripped it, tells me it looks like it cannot be fixed because the hole is not at a seam, but tells me to come in anyways. To be clear, I did NOT cause the tear to the coat, but rather the quality of the coat that was flawed to begin with.Ms. Samani called me twice since our initial phone call to ask me to come into the store which, after reading reviews, I opted out of knowing it would be a waste of my time and energy. It would've been much different if she had spoken to me with kindness and approached it with any of the following: "I'm sorry to hear that." "That doesn't sound like the quality we stand by." "I'd be more than happy to take a look." "I would love to fix this for you" "Hopefully we can find a resolution that works for both of us". It is odd that a manager would automatically accuse the customer of lying or malicious behavior when you can see other reviews with similar experiences. I would not recommend Max Mara or Max Mara Tysons to anyone.

They sell fur which causes a great deal of animal suffering. New synthetic materials are very realistic. Can we move out of the Middle Ages?

Buyer beware!! The staff at Max Mara will not tell you that all sales are final and no returns are allowed. My wife was told to buy a skirt and to try it on at home with boots to make sure it was the right look, as opposed to coming back the following day to the store with the boots. The staff told her better to buy the skirt now as opposed to risking it being gone tomorrow. There was no mention that if she did this she could not actually return the skirt. Very misleading. When we pointed this out, the staff offered the three most disingenuous and meaningless words in the English vocabulary, "we are sorry". Save your being sorry please. We will never, repeat NEVER shop in the Max Mara store again!! Saint Laurent makes you sign an acknowledgement before any purchase that sales are final. Chanel allows for returns. Max Mara's policy is the worst, especially when online orders can in fact be returned. This policy is asinine and makes no sense. Again, way to go Max Mara, you've lost a customer for good.

I purchased a max mara coat in July 3023 which was on 30% sale (almost $3,000). The sales lady did not mention that it was a final sale. The same coat also is on sale and fully returnable on Max Mara USA on line shop. However, the store manager said if you bought an item from the store it is a final sale and non-returnable. The manager told me there is a sign indicating the all sales items are final. Really?! I've been a customer for the Max Mara Galleria store for almost 30 years. I never saw the sign. To my surprise, the is a sign, but not where they keep sale items, or where you can easily spot it, In the left side of the cash register, there is a small ambiguous writing says no return on sale items in the bottom of the list. I told the manager you can return the items you bought from online Max Mara but can not return it if you bought from the store. In that case, who is going to buy from the store? She said it is the store policy. Don't buy any thing from the store. There are a bunch of online store sells much less than the Max Mara store and they are happy to take it back if you are not satisfied with the item and the final sale items have deep discounts, such as 70%+. They are very clearly said "the items are final sale".

Google should allow me to assign zero star!I bought an expensive sweater from this store. I put it aside for a while, before I put it on twice. Then I found unraveling thread. So I went to the store to see if they could exchange it or repair it. Surprisingly, unlike when I bought the sweater, the store manager, Ms. Soheila Samani, put on a very arrogant, condescending attitude. She accused me of cutting it, ripping it... Each of the two times I put it on, I wore about 8 hours in my office, and the unraveling thread is in the chest area. How could I cut or rip it? Finally, she agreed to fix it. Well, after waiting for more than two hours, I could not believe my eyes when I saw the "fix". The picture with a square shows the original flaw and the other two pictures are what their "fix" represents. Would anybody agree that is a "fix"?!I reported this to their east coast regional manager, but he just repeated Ms. Samani's rhetoric. I also wrote Max Mara customer service, but so far didn't receive a response. I am done with Max Mara.

I should have read other reviews on this store's unfair return/refund policy. This is the worst luxury store and the Better Business Bureau complaints prove it. Be aware of the store return/refund policy before purchasing any item. This seems predatory of customers, when most luxury stores allow for at least at 12- 30 day return window. The predatory policy is enough to turn me away from the brand forever.

I had the BEST time this evening purchasing my very first Max Mara coat! I was greeted the second I walked in, received happiness and respect from beginning to end of my purchase experience. I was taken around the entire store, trying on numerous coats until we found my perfect fit, color, material, and style. I was offered a refreshment along the way. I had so much fun with Soheila Samani, Assistant Store Manager, she was kind, knowledgeable, polite, and made my experience unforgettable. I can’t wait to purchase my next one that I have my eye on. Sae Young Chung was so sweet and personable as well! All around great team and relaxing experience, I will be back very soon. <3

I wish there is option for zero star! It's garbage exchange/store credit policy prove to be one of the worst I've come across in a long while. Shop at a luxury department store if you're interested in the brand and save yourself the headache. Never again.

11/27/21 Today I met Stylist Julie Zhang at Max Mara. This is a new store to me. The clothing targets women more than men. The store isn't very big, but does have a number of associates that can help you with whatever questions you might have. I did see some items that looked nice, but the cost were too high. I did like seeing one customer want a jacket that was on the mannequin. The blonde woman squeezed through a door to retrieve it. Customer service at its finest. The clothing I saw on the left hand side looked better to me than the right side. I did not spend much time on the right side. Nevertheless, it was nice to see what this store had to offer..

Julie is one of the best sale people I ever met! She is very professional and kind to help. She never push me to any pricy coats but rather provide the coat that fit me the best. She has very great taste and easy to communicate with. I love my shopping experience here at Max Mara with Julie.

Great quality clothes. However, same exact clothes you can find at half price at other stores in the same mall or online and they do not do price match.
