Called office to get price of a neuter for a kitten and the guy couldn’t give me a price just that I had to bring kitten in and then they will evaluate. Well this is a rip off place. I guess they see you to see how much they can shake out of your pockets. Ridiculous.

McLean Animal Hospital has cared for my cats for 10 years. The veterinarians are caring and gentle, especially Dr Sullivan. She explains everything very well and keeps us up to date on new developments in cat care.

This was our first appointment here after moving from overseas. We needed our dog to get updated shots and they were able to use her pet passport to determine what she was missing. The office staff were super friendly and I really liked Dr Cryder.

Having frequented McLean Animal Hospital since 1989, we have had a chance to experience the facility (rebuilt/renovated some years ago) and the staff. As any business, staff have come and gone...however, some have been with this practice for almost the entire time we have been going...including DVMs, medical assistants and administrative staff. In our experience, staff retention is one mark of professional excellence.Another mark is effective, accurate, compassionate, timely care. Seven of our family (Morgan, Christy, Daisy, Luke, Grace, Sable, Moses and Auggie) have been "patients" during the last 34 years. Never once has our family received other than the best, most compassionate, discerning, kind and correctly effective care. While there have been times of our frustration of administrative tasks (slow call backs, waiting to be checked-in, being forgotten while on a call "hold", among others) , never have those occurrences been due to other than a busy office caring for other patients. Medical practice is delivered by skilled/trained professionals, wherever the practice is located. Are mistakes made, yes by all humans, including veterinary medical practitioners. Fine care can be found in many, many veterinary practices, McLean Animal Hospital is certainly at the top of any such list.

McLean Animal Hospital has no sense of urgency when it comes to pets. Any time I brought my pup in for an emergency there were was long wait times rude staff. Any time I call about an emergency there’s long wait times and snobby client service reps. What is this place? Do you people genuinely care about animals or are you just there to make ends meet? If you don’t like your profession seek another!

Even though they are very short staffed they always go out of their way to take care of you. The receptionists handle everything with grace, even when dealing with a difficult customer they’re always courteous. All the doctors and vet staff are very professional.

Literally the best people. My family has been going to McLean for decades now and they have always looked out for us and our pets. I could not recommend them more highly!

This animal hospital is the worst I have ever met. If you have any issues with them, they will cancel your future appointments, even if your dog is in need of treatment and without letting you know. I can't believe a hospital that claims to love dogs would behave this way. They seem to prioritize their profits over the well-being of animals. Furthermore, when calling them, they may even hang up without giving you a chance to speak. Their front desk staff, in particular, is difficult to describe in words.

Fantastic group of vets. We really trust this office with a huge variety of pet issues because we foster for a rescue. We’ve had excellent care and good outcomes. They are compassionate, too.

This hospital can’t even do a proper neutering procedure for dogs. My friend had her dog did the neutering procedure at this place with vet Jeb Sexton. First of all, the price is ridiculously high, and after the procedure, her dog went into heat cycles, can you believe that? Then my friend took her dog to other hospital as they moved out of the state, and her dog was diagnosed with parts of ovary that were left somewhere. So her poor little dog went through another surgery and costed much more money, and besides, the surgery is relatively difficult as the pieces of the ovary were very small and hard to detect. After that, my friend reached out to this hospital, and the vet said it wasn’t his fault and refused to talk further.I would not recommend you go with this hospital with the terrible vet! They just don’t care about your dog.And definitely avoid Jeb Sexton if you want your dog alive and safe.

Very attentive staff. Dr. Sullivan is great. She tried to complete the wellness exam without upsetting my senior cat. She is thorough and fast. She asks good questions about the diet, behavior, level of activity, and so forth. My cat was so stressed going to the vet that she threw up in her carrier. Dr. Sullivan and staff cleaned her up, removed the padded bottom of the carrier and added weewee pads so that I could put her back in and take her home. Thank you for your care, and see you next year!

Excellent animal care at reasonable prices for the area. We take our three dogs to McLean Animal Hospital and have always been satisfied with the attention and care provided by the veterinarians and staff there. If our regular vet is not available for an urgent need, we will see another vet there and have never been disappointed. It's a busy practice, so it's best to make appointments well in advance when possible.

This CLINIC CARES About MONEY ONLY.And there is no chance talk to manager, because “she is always out” and will never give a call back.I went to this clinic for 2.5 years. I wasn’t fully satisfied but it was “ok” experience so far but convenient commute. For these years it was only few times they were able to start an appointment on time. Usually I was waiting between 20-40(!) min.1.Once we came because my 15 lb doggy was limping, the doctor was late for 30 min, appointment itself took 15 min. Doctor was amazing regarding his personality, very kind and polite.But. He “examined” my dog and didn’t notice anything abnormal and subscribe pain relief medicine. After a week I found a big sore on a paw. HOW COULD HE MISS IT.2.Because of the waiting line I started to go to other clinic for doctor appointments; for vaccinations and general medications(like tick and heart protection)I was continue coming to this clinic. After we got over due for wellness exam I explained them the reason I mentioned above and offered them to book an appointment and make it work on time. Of course they can’t promise it. I also offered them to get the records from other clinic to keep it updated. But They said it does not work like that and that I will no longer able to get any medication from them as well as get any vaccinations. Guess why? Because ALL THEY CARE IS MONEY.And I was ok to pay for small stuff because I DEFINITELY CANNOT TRUST THEM MY ALIVE PET.Wish this clinic more patients that will treat them same way they treated me.

They’ve been so great with my dog! Appreciate the variety of perspectives from different vets. And they always remember my dog’s preference to get procedures done in the exam room. Helps him stay so much calmer!
