This CVS pharmacy has serious issues: 1) they NEVER answer the phone. EVER. 2) ridiculously understaffed 3) poorly managed 4) hour-long wait times for prescriptions

I/my family have been going to this CVS since I was a toddler. It is my regular CVS pharmacy to fill prescriptions. Most of the pharmacy associates, when you interact with them in person in the store, are okay to very good as well as pleasant. However, this pharmacy's phone services are abysmal and unprofessional. The pharmacy staff regularly never answer the phone, allow multiple calls to stretch into ridiculous wait times (today I was on hold for two hours before being hung up on and also on hold for several other call attempts for over an hour and a half), and hang up intentionally on customers. Absolutely ridiculous. Yes, the pharmacy is "busy," but this doesn't excuse absolutely terrible customer service or rather non-service. In addition, always double-check your prescription is correct and has the correct amount of medication. Multiple times this pharmacy has messed up prescriptions. This CVS pharmacy (or the regional, corporate offices need to make it) needs to get its act together.

This location seemed to be somewhat better than most of the other locations in downtown DC. I can't speak for the pharmacy however, because I only came in to purchase a couple of grocery items and a Red Bull. I will say that I have been quite pleased about the weekly coupons that I have been getting, and they really have been useful! One thing that I did notice about the beverage cooler, and the section that had the Red Bulls in particular. It was all in dissaray. There were cans just sitting at a the bottom of the cooler, where someone had apparently thrown them back inside did the drink cooler without putting when in their property place. Secondly, the actual Red Bull selection was sparse at best. The only flavor that I saw was Blue. In years past they had all kinds work flavors, like orange, blue, kiwi, and yellow! I have yet to find a a fully stocked location, and I realize that it's probably not the fault of the store.

This is my regular cvs that I have been going to forever, but as far as their telephone service it is absolute trash. Whenever I try to call in for a prescription or talk to the pharmacist I am left on hold and hung up on.

Garbage. Absolute garbage. I have a terrible ear infection and am desperate for any relief. I've called, waited on hold for 2 hours, AND called the other cvs in McLean to see if they could get them. I can't get in contact with anyone because their automated machine keeps hanging up. I can't transfer my prescription, I can't get a status update, I can't even get in touch with the damn pharmacist. This place is my worst hell warmed over. I would rather birth triplets without an epidural. I would rather go back through physical therapy. I would rather eat fish, AND I HATE FISH, than go to this hell of a location. Garbage, useless, pathetic.

Worst CVS Pharmacy ever: made an appointment for a whooping cough vaccine. Arrived there and the oblivious technician at the counter tells me that they dont have the vaccine.... Why on Earth would you confirm the appointment, then? She tells me:" We are supposed to call the customer beforehand but in your case, I dont know what happened."AVOID!

I have been going to this CVS for over 20 years. The place is clean, the layout is relatively open for a drugstore, and the staff are always helpful and friendly. The store seems to be often understaffed, though this has improved lately. Being often understaffed puts immense pressure on the personnel, especially behind the pharmacy counter, which makes their helpfulness all the more impressive.

CVS Pharmacy has really improved their customer service. My most recent visit to pick up a prescription was surprisingly quick and easy. They have signage everywhere to encourage social distancing, they're offering complimentary hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes, plexiglass guards are used as a barrier, and they no longer make you sign for your prescription. I'm happy to report they're taking the pandemic seriously!

They mean well at this pharmacy, they really do, and they're diligent and pleasant...but they're overwhelmed. Lines can be long and it's sometimes difficult to get someone's attention. Other signs that they have too few people: their drug filing system sometimes requires a lot of digging, I've spent ages on hold to speak to a pharmacist, and there have been times when I'd get a text message about my medicine being filled, only to find it hadn't really been filled when I arrived.

Pharmacy did not properly mix the medication, was very chunky the first time--they gave a replacement for free (which was nice but an inconvenience to have to come back). Always a crazy long wait... I called for OTC ointment, was told it was there, and when I came by no one could find where it was located. Was told that the people who might know where it was were gone for the day. Great.

Terrible service. I stopped using CVS pharmacy years ago, but decided to give them a chance since they're close to my house. I dropped off a prescription last week which needed to be special ordered. The gentleman promised me it'd be in by the 14th. I finally called on the 16th, and it hasn't even been ordered yet. I now have to go for four days without a medication I need. I called to complain to CareMark and their advice was to 'sign up for our recurring order program'! Why on earth would I trust them again or give them my business. Terrible service, use a smaller pharmacy like the medicine chest or Foers - you'll be a lot happi

Very poor unorganized service ! This is only last Eight months. After a back Surgery I got to use several medications for high blood pressure and other medications for thyroid Acid reflux cholesterol and several vitamins and minerals. My blood pressure after the operation was hard to control so the doctor started to change the dose into higher or lower with the three high blood pressure medications. as well I am diabetic and found myself have to monitor my chlucose more than once per day. the Employees at CVS, McLean VA got confused and every time I need new dose they relate it to previous dose as refill means the new prescription is ignored or they count how many tablets left in old prescription and add it to new prescription ... etc due to their wrong reporting to insurance company every medication refill is delayed or . Every time I have a new medication they question it. Today I have to wait more than hour for them to explain right to insurance. Every generic medication is now priced at $30 from me. Brand medications has doubled in price while our President is trying to reduce medication prices.

This pharmacy is going from bad with horrible wait times etc to dangerous. Twice this week my daughter was given a wrong prescription no apology just more wait time. My daughter has now been off critical medication for several days due to the incompetence of this store. Avoid at all costs.

First of all I know pharmacies get busy and there can be a wait. However this CVS is by far the slowest and always has a super long line. I have nothing against the pharmacists that work here, they're all very professional and friendly, but they're just really understaffed. It takes anywhere between 15-45 min here, and in today's instance it took me almost an hour. What's worse is that the parking lot is always a mess and dangerous to drive in. The design of the shopping center is just poor and there's almost no visibility when making turns. I would recommend getting your prescriptions filled elsewhere if you can.
