While the quality of the product was high, the customer service and communication were less than stellar. I ordered a custom suit, two shirts, for my son's wedding. The second shirt was never delivered (ordered and paid for in June - 4 months of waiting), nor was any explanation every provided for when it might be completed. The suit was beautiful, although the tailoring never quite got the pants correct.

I’ve been going to Brett for nearly the last 5 years. His attention to detail is like no other. Not only that, but his knowledge of material, style, etc just makes it that much better. On May 18th, I paid in full (not a deposit) to have a suit made by The Tailored Man. On June 29th, which is within the 6 to 8 week time frame as promised, I went in and tried on for fine tuning, which was required and expected. All normal. In fact, I paid in full for a second suit. On August 26th, now more than 8 weeks later, I called and left a message to inquire as to the status of both suits. No response. OK. Maybe the owner is on vacation. On September 4th, I called and left another message asking for status. No response again. On September 7th, I physically went to the store asking about my suits. The owner was not there. The man who was there, and seems to speak limited English, found my first suit, but not the second. I inquired where the owner was, but he only responded “manager not here”. I asked him to take a written message asking the “manager” to call me, which he wrote down. No response again after two days. So I called again, and left a message. This time I said if I did not hear from him by 3pm the next day, I would dispute the charge with my credit card company as the deadline for disputes was in two days. This was my only recourse short of court action. Keep in mind this is almost 11 weeks since I initially paid with zero communication from the owner despite two prior voicemails and an in-person message. No surprise, I got no response, so as promised I disputed the charge at 4pm the next day. A half hour later, I received a message from the owner apologizing that the material for the 2nd suit was out of stock and would now be started. He offered a shirt or two for the inconvenience. At this point I could have cancelled the dispute and proceeded. However, the next day the owner learned of the dispute and called me upset to say he did not want to deal with someone who filed a dispute and would refund my money (as if he had a choice). Unfortunately the 1st suit does not fit well even after the fine tuning, and I will not go back to have them fix. Instead I found a better and more professional clothier, albeit a little more expensive. But the new clothier has their suits made in Italy rather than China. They also only require a 50% deposit. Bottom line, good luck with The Tailored Man. I learned the hard way I was dealing with an owner that felt no responsibility to respond and communicate with me, his customer. If they go out of business, which could happen given this lack of customer service, you may be left holding the bag. I certainly felt that was what was happening to me. The only thing I got out of this relationship is an ill-tailored suit.

I recently got my first tailored suit, and the experience was amazing! I never realized how much of a difference a custom fit could make. The suit feels great, and it’s boosted my confidence so much. I even took my partner to get one, and now I’m planning to buy another before the end of the year. Brett is super knowledgeable and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for quality and a perfect fit, I definitely recommend this place!

As of this writing I've had two suits done by The Tailored Man. One for a formal/gala-type event and the other for more casual office/business cocktail vibe. I've been very pleased with both suits.
It's a small operation and, in my opinion, that almost guarantees that clients are looked after and that they're not just another reference number in the system. Brett took the time to sit with me and talk about different cuts, styles, options down to the buttons, linings and personal preferences of what I was looking for.
While the showroom is out in Tyson's, it's not a daunting commute. Quick metro ride on the silver gets most folks out there.

I have been going to Tailored Man for at least 20 years and virtually everything in my closet came from the TM. The shop offers a huge selection of shirt and suit patterns and fabrics at prices reasonable for tailored clothing.

My experience at The Tailored Man was nothing short of exceptional. Brett's professionalism and meticulous attention to detail during the selection of materials and measurements truly impressed me. Booking our consultation and order appointment back to back was convenient and efficient. I ordered an ivory white suite blazer for my wedding.
In just about 2 months, our order was completed to perfection. The craftsmanship was so impeccable that no further alterations were needed, only a final fitting/pick appointment. I highly recommend The Tailored Man for anyone seeking top-notch tailoring services.
