This Walgreens stays open simply because the community has only a few options. They do not care about you (the customer) at all. The workers, especially the pharmacy members are there to collect their paycheck and that is all. No one will call when the order is ready. No one will call when they have a question about your prescription, they will just not fill it and move on. This walgreens is a disgrace

Amara is very helpful, but the female pharmacist is not even moving and gave excuses that computer is not working while Amara came out and immediately helped me fill out the medicine. I don’t know what’s the female pharmacist name, but it’s on Feb 28, at 640pm at McLean Walgreens. Hope the manager does something about it

Today I took a new prescription from my DC doctor to this Walgreens, since the Arlington Walgreens near my work recommended that I go to this one because it was the only pharmacy in the area with the meds in stock. The pharmacist at this McLean Walgreens was completely unhelpful and said he was unwilling to fill the prescription because I lived 9 miles away in DC and wasn’t “local”. Unbelievable. Avoid.

The customer service at this pharmacy is best described as hostile but in an indifferent kinda of way. They tell you to wait ten minutes, the pharmacist leaves for lunch, you come back in ten minutes and they say maybe 3 pm is a better time. Wait I’ll come back Monday. Will I have to wait , no. Come back Monday morning when directed, oh we don’t have the amount you need. We’ll call you when it’s ready. Come back, when called, that’ll be a “thousand dollars “ because your insurance hasn’t approved it yet. I leave call the doctor, that’s not right. Go back the next day get the prescription, ask if you can pick up another med, you can but you’ll have to pay for it because we can’t fill it under insurance until tomorrow morning, said with a sadistic twinkle. Like I said hostilely indifferent.

This review is for the pharmacy specifically… if I could give 0 stars I would. Took them over 2 weeks to fill a prescription they had in stock because the pharmacist kept forgetting to do what he needed to do. Even though CVS if pricier- I’m switching there

One of the worst pharmacies I’ve ever been to. Count on your prescriptions not being filled once called in, partial or incomplete fills, high wait times to fill while waiting for what should have been filled days prior, pharmacist unable and/or uncaring about answering prescription questions/concerns, high staff turnover, disorganization, lack of professionalism, phones not working, high hold times, multiple disconnections. JUST TERRIBLE!!!

The pharmacy team was the most helpful people. my grandma had a bit of a spill and the manager Faith jumped over the counter immediately came over and helped. She even carried my grandmother all the way to the car on her BACK!! I am forever grateful for this team. My grandma is all I have left in the world I don't know what I would do if anything happened to her.

I recently came back to this Walgreens pharmacy and had a great experience. My prescriptions were filled immediately, and when I picked them up, there was no line and the pharmacy staff were wonderful. The new management is outstanding. My previous experience had been very bad, similar to other reviewers here. That was the past, and I recommend giving this pharmacy a second chance, if it's convenient for you.
