I am going on vacation this week so i called ahead to fill a perscription so it would be ready for when i got back. At 1259 on 8.28.23i the pharmacist refused to accept a refill order stating i could not call moee then two days ahead of the fill date. Which I told him again I was out of the country on that day and wouldnt be able to. He then told me that sounded like a me problem and then hung up on me... wallgreens please look into your staffing decisions further and this person could be causing serious medical issues and possible physical harm.

The pharmacist told me that a prescription I had was ready, and when I got to the pharmacy, they told me to wait because it wasn't ready quite yet. After fifteen minutes of waiting the pharmacist told me that the medication they filled for me actually wasn't the right strength and that they wouldn't have it in stock for a couple of weeks. I asked why when I called the pharmacy earlier, that they said I could pick up the prescription with zero problems after their lunch break, and the pharmacist said that she had misread my prescription strength. Im extremely disappointed in the customer service of the pharmacists, and it is extremely unprofessional that they started filling a prescription that was not my strength AT ALL, and then told me they had made a mistake and I wouldn't be able to pick up my medication for an unknown amount of time. Don't waste your time here, they don't read your prescriptions or strengths correctly.

This pharmacy notifies you that your prescriptions are ready and then cancels them and puts them back on the shelf same day. They called me 5 times over three days to tell me to come get all 3 medications and I told them I would be there to get them on a certain day and they still put them back. Their pharmacy technicians are extremely unprofessional and disrespectful cussing at you and throwing jabs over the phone when you ask why your stuff isn’t ready when it says it is. Customers do not have time to come back to Walgreens every day and I am one of those customers. Do better Walgreens.

Worst Walgreens I have ever been too. They allowed white customers to cut lines in front of other customers who are people of color. They found all kind of excuses to not provide prescription to you, which I totally don't understand. They first said they need e-prescription, then said it is illegal to give this to my pet because they found red flag on my prescription. What? Unbelievable!!

This pharmacy was good until about 3 months ago. I don’t know what happened but there are all new faces. Rude, inexperienced, ignorant workers. They NEVER answer the phone. I was on hold and hour and a half once so just drove there. There were only 3 people in line. I mentioned to them they don’t answer the phone and they didn’t even care to respond as if they know and they really don’t care. They fumbled the ball with my new insurance info causing me to wait an extra 5 days to get my meds for no apparent reason other than they’re lazy! I transferred to Potomac! Don’t make your life worse by entertaining this foolery!

The pharmacy is a total nightmare. Everything changed when Chesterbrook Walgreens closed. Too many customers - not even close to enough competent staff. I could tell our story but everyone who goes there for their prescriptions has their own horrendous tales. And the main corporate office isn't doing anything about it. Hour long waits - prescriptions not ready - told there is no insurance - can't contact them on the phone. Nothing like the pharmacy that we've had in the past.

This is the worst Walgreens Pharmacy that I have ever been to. It takes weeks to fill a prescription and even if you wait a couple weeks anticipating their incompetence, plan on it still not being ready when you get there. They will tell you to wait 15 min, but really give it about an hour waiting in-store, note-if you leave the store to return and pick it up later, it still won't be ready when you come back (see previous line about the 15 min wait that is actually an hour).

Dec, 2022: I never use this Walgreens, although I live nearby. There are a few CVS's closer to my home that generally use and all goes well with them. I tried to fill an impromptu prescription here the other day. Terrible experience. Huge line for pharmacy and a separate huge line for regular cash registers. A hitch occurred that delayed filling my prescription. It was murder trying to get this pharmacy on the phone to follow up on my problem, including one hour holds on the phone for two different calls on consecutive days. I asked them to call my doctor to discuss my prescription and they said we're too busy, have doctor call us. Really regret making the innocent mistake of trying to use this store on the spur of the moment. I was amazed at the foot traffic at this store, much busier than I've seen at a drug store in many years. Somebody must like doing business here, but I can't see why?

The incompetence of this branch cannot be overstated. They don't fill prescriptions, they can't find them when they are filled, the staff looks miserable, customers are angry and waiting in line for at least 30 min or holding indefinitely on the phone. Our doctor can't even get through on that dedicated line. It's been going on for months now and I understand there are reasons but honestly no more excuses. Terrible management at this local level and I think it must be reflective of the Walgreens organization. Again; the staff seem simultaneously miserable and also completely unable to function. 911, Walgreens.

More awful experience here, re getting service either over the phone or in person. Inexcusably long waits are the routine here, heaven forbid you are really sick or infectious and need to get in and out quickly. Is anyone reading this litany of reviews? Walgreens HQ...does anyone care? I for one have had enough, will be voting with my feed taking my business elsewhere.

Walgreens is closing locations and consolidating pharmacies into larger locations like this one where they can save on labor while the customer suffers with long lines, excessive waits, and impersonal service.Add to that Walgreens' ridiculously high prices for EVERYTHING -- even their store brand items -- and you get the modern Walgreens experience, which is pathetically bad.

I absolutely never leave reviews but the treatment from this pharmacist was absurd. He tried to charge me $130 for a $5 prescription and was really rude about it. He fought with me about the pricing. Finally reprocessed it and saw that it was $5. If I hadn’t held my ground, I’d have lost $125.
