This is a beautiful resort on 12,000 acres. It is super expensive, but most of the amenities match the price. We were there after the fall foliage had all fallen, and the views from the lodge were still amazing. My wife has stayed at the resort two times and wanted us to go for a day spa trip. I had a 90 minute deep tissue massage while she had a 90 minute deluxe facial. Then we soaked in the hot tub in the inside pool area for about 30 minutes. Then we showered, ordered lunch, and ate together in a private room. Since the weather was nice, we then walked around the resort to admire the views. However, it was super windy so we went back inside and relaxed by the fireplace. We left fully relaxed wishing we had been able to book a room so we could stay the night, but it was still a wonderful day spent with my beautiful wife!

So… the staff that checked us in were great… but for a 5star resort this facility lack Quality control? I mean I know we are in the woods so I wouldn’t have complained about 10flies… but there were hundreds… dead on the floor of our rental… crunching at our feet….. I do think it is a little overpriced and they truly are understaffed. Expect better or more for 1000$+ a night but that might be just me.

This is quite possibly the most beautiful setting I have ever seen. The rooms were terrific, the service was amazing and the activities were fantastic. The only thing I would not do again would be the stargazing.

We absolutely loved our stay at Primland! Our room was luxurious! We enjoyed ourselves with golf, shooting sporting clays and the spa! The grounds are breathtaking this time of year. We will be back!

Let me start with the great. The view is second to none! The leaves are gorgeous and there are picture worthy views everywhere you look. The staff have been exceptionally nice in every encounter we are having with them. From the initial arrival at the gate, to the front desk, to the wait staff, everyone has been extremely nice. With that said, the resort falls short of the exceptional experience someone expects to have at this price point. It’s the details that make a resort exceptional, and Primland is falling slightly short of that. We are staying in the Pinnacle Cottages. In our room, the fireplace does not work. Maintenance came and “got it working”but after shutting off (can’t have it running constantly), it will not turn on again. So unless I want to continually have the maintenance man show up, we go without it. One of the faucets in the bathroom is steadily dripping. This is not a slow drip, they are losing multiple gallons of water a day. Once again had maintenance out and he is unable to repair it, as something is “cracked”. We have a lamp that is broken so the only way to turn off is by unplugging it or leaving it on all the time. In addition, we went over to take advantage of the Cocktails at the Tobacco Barn activity only to find it’s not happening due to staffing. While I understand staffing shortages, I had to contact the lodge to find out it’s cancelled vs. any type of notification at the barn. While most of these items fall in the nuisance category, a resort presenting itself as a premium experience needs to pay attention to the details, as that is what sets them apart. But as I stated, If you can over look the short comings, the grounds are exceptional!Update: Daily room service seems to be minimal. Towels are collected, but not replaced (hand towels at least).Update 2: I am increasing my rating on Primland. The reason for my updated review is that management noticed my review, met with me and acted immediately on recovery actions. It is not the mistakes that are made, but how you recover from them, and Primland management has made every logical effort to address every detail I mentioned. I could not be more pleasantly surprised with their response.Plus, I was late for my meeting with them as there was a mother bear with her two cubs between me and the lodge meeting location. I could not have asked for a better nature moment than that!

Went to primland for my 50th birthday and still here as I type thisPlease be careful using goggle directions will put you on a road no one should drive on dangerous!!The resort, we are staying at cooper's hawk tree house, views are excellent very peaceful and quite. The element, breakfast and dinner was great highly recommend the filet for dinner, the Waiter and waitresses were very good.We had a spa appointment our masseuse was excellent and our rtv tour guide Noel was great!!!With all this for the money spent there were alot of little things that made things irritating!!Obviously being in the mountains cell phones are not to be relied on but our land line in the tree house didn't work for over a dayWe are supposed to be shuttled to and from the lodge with a simple phone call due to the terrain but obviously with no phone at the time it is hard to do, so we would drive back and forth. Or verbally Set up while at the lodge for someone to pick us up for dinner and then they never showed up so again stuck driving the terrain and finally said we will drive where and whenever we want to go out.Our tree house door locks you out so you have to carry your keys all the time even to go out on the deck because if not you can't call because fear of land line not working and cell service again you cant depend on for obvious reasons. Heater in bathroom does not work. Room service I would not recommend eating at lodge is better. Our itinerary set up by the resort had overlapping times so our rtv ride was cut short. My opinion all these little things with the money being spent should never be an issue.Safety: The Google directions on the website will lead you to a road no one should drive on!!

Booked one of the houses for our wedding in 2018. Beautiful view but woke up in the night while it was raining to multiple large leaks throughout the house. For the price would have expected far better. See it was bought out since then so hopefully the even higher rates are going towards repairs.

Since being bought by Auberge resorts Primland has declined in every way and rooms are more than twice as expensive. Primland is beautiful, but is not seriously overpriced. They are pricing their pinnacle cottages equal to rooms in the main lodge. These rooms could not be more different. We paid over $1300 dollars a night for a room that was similar in quality to embassy suites. The pricing is completely exorbitant - robbery. The resort was seriously understaffed. We booked two massages and only one was booked. They have one staff member waiting on and bartending the entire casual/bar restaurant. We had no bottled water in our rooms, it was not re-stocked. We ordered room service and it never arrived. No one answers the phone at the front desk. Primland is special because of the beauty of the land and the activities and I have been going there for years. I will never return. I feel I have been taken advantage of. $1300 dollars a night in a mediocre room with sub par service. I would never have paid this if I had know how much this place has declined. I am still trying to get in touch with the manager and was told she would call me yesterday morning. She never did. Auberge needs to drastically cut prices to match the experience to its worth.

My wife and I spent 2 nights at Primland. It was fantastic and we certainly plan to return. The views were breathtaking. The hiking trails were great. The pictures attached are from my hike on the Buzzard's Roost trail. Both dinners at the main restaurant were excellent and the service across the board was fantastic. The horseback ride activity was a huge treat for me and the guide was super. I know a number of reviews here mention cost. I do agree that the room rate is a bit on the high side. With that said my wife and I felt it was worth it given the incredible time we had.

Grossly overpriced...If you are into golf I can see some regarding this place to be a haven, but I think this place is otherwise bang average and grossly overpriced for what is on offer.PROS: nice rooms in the lodge, secluded location, hiking, trails and other (but still rather limited) activities, the restaurant and pub food was decent, and staff came across as friendly in general.CONS: even though I am fortunate enough to be be able to afford what was on offer, everything was stupidly overpriced. The 20% mandatory service charges where also extremely annoying as we prefer to tip/pay service fees based upon the actual service received, and many times during our stay the service charges did not align with our perception of the service provided. Dinner at Stables Saloon was a nice setting but the food was seriously lacking in flavor. The massage service was HORRIBLE and one of the worst massages we have ever had (in our lives!), made even worse by the exorbitant cost of said service. Let's not get me started on the "Martini upcharges" from all establishments. What a joke!Unfortunately, the cons outweighed the pros and as such will not be returning to nor recommending this place to anyone in my network.
