“A very cool & iconic Five Below opening in Mechanicsville, VA and I was pleasantly surprised. So many products at affordable prices is a blessing in this day and age. A great place to get a birthday gift for your family/friends and/or pick up some of your favorite staples (ibuprofen, headphones, cleaning supplies, etc.). With great customer service and so much diversity, Five Below is definitely a godsend the Mechanicsville area. Bravo, Five Below, bravo!!!”

“Sincerely impressed....Idk if all other hobby lobbys are mediocre, or this one is just extraordinary, but my experience (brief as it was) had surpassed any expectations for finding the materials I needed (and then some). It was the staff however, that tied the bow off for me. EVERY staff member I interacted with was unreasonably polite and patient with me as I was scrambling to collect my supplies and wade through the abundance of inventory options minutes before closing. Especially the young woman who serviced me at the fabric counter whose name escapes me but the ticket was initialed "RT"Anyways, I'm looking forward to going back next time I'm in that area and hearby renounce all other arts + crafts stores (even my own local hobby lobbys) and making this my go-to store for all future needs.”

“I came here to buy some supplies for a watercolor studio class I started taking at the VMFA Studio School. I have zero experience with watercolors so was pretty lost as to what the class material list was saying. Thankfully, I was given a lot of help by two of the people who worked here. They helped me pick out the closest colors to the list (the material list hadn't been updated since 2015) and helped me grab the appropriate brushes.Art supplies aren't cheap, but after signing up for their rewards program, it took about $100 off my purchase. I paid about $135 for four brushes, six paints, paper, a drawing pad, pencils, an eraser, a palette, and pens. It's a smaller shop, but it had everything I was looking for. Plaza Artist Materials is a wonderful place to get art supplies for watercolor painting.”
