i went for my appointment and the lady doing my x rays was absolutely horrible. she was very rude and seemed to not care at all. after the extremely painful x rays I went into the room for an exam and cleaning. after waiting an hour for someone to come into the room she did the exam but barely even checked anything. she also didn't give any information about my teeth at all. and when she cleaned my teeth she was being extra and it was like she had no care in the world about if I was in pain (which I was in a lot of pain because of how aggressive she was) and then when she was flossing my teeth it felt like she was slicing my gums in half. I will never step foot in that disgrace of a building ever again. DO NOT GO HERE THEY ARE HORRIBLE!!

Scheduled an appointment for the 28th of October. Their wait list is about a month to get an appointment, got to the door only to find out they were closed. It's very frustrating considering I waited a month (Which is enough time to call and communicate that you won't be open that day). I went by the earliest date their site recommended, they should really not have days open to be scheduled if they aren't going to be open, secondly if they aren't going to be open that day they should at least communicate to people that is the case instead of wasting peoples time. I don't think i can wait another month to get another appointment, as I'm having tooth pain that i was really looking forward to getting fixed.

I was quite disappointed in my experience here. The whole place has a sad, negative aura about it. The dental assistant that took my X-rays was nice, but it was a pretty bad experience after that. When I got to the main room, they took my blood pressure and it was abnormally elevated. I've never had issues with high blood pressure before, and the numbers on the cuff were dangerously high, like 145/110. I looked it up later and it would have been an emergency situation if it was accurate, but they didn't seem to pay much attention to it, other than taking it twice, then just saying the doctor will be in soon and leaving. I'm assuming their blood pressure cuff was faulty. The movie Deadpool was playing on the TV, and I sat through the last maybe half hour of that movie and then another half hour of Deadpool 2 before the doctor came in. That movie is very violent and has a lot of cursing and inappropriate scenes, so I thought it was bizarre that a dentist's office was playing that on a big tv inches from my face. Right before the dentist got into the room, I believe her name was Dr. Goodman, she was belittling one of her staff members saying they didn't do a good enough job cleaning one of her rooms for her and how she doesn't want to have to tell the staff person again. It was sad to see the unneeded anger towards this person. The information she had about me was a few things written on a sticky note. She asked why I was there and I said I hadn't been to a dentist in a while and that I was told I had a few cavities, but haven't done anything about them. She took probably less than a minute to poke around at my teeth, told me I didn't have any cavities, put the X-rays of my teeth up on the TV screen without actually saying anything about them, then told me I just needed to schedule a cleaning and led me to a waiting room. I felt, at this point, a bit deceived about my experience so far because it didn't seem as though anyone had really actually done anything yet. I then waited in that waiting room for another 30 minutes or so before being led into a room that seemed like it's only purpose was to do some type of high pressure sale, and was told to schedule a cleaning. I declined because I felt ignored and taken advantage of. I still would like to have a dentist, but I don't plan to go back to this location.

It was a very pleasant experience. Dr. Goodman is an excellent dentist. There was no pain. The staff there is very pleasant and helpful. I recommend Dr. Goodman to all of my family and friends.

The location in Mechanicsville, VA is not good. I did not enjoy my visit. Dr. Goodman was barely in the room for 5 min. The same tooth she looked at I had pulled by a different dentist the next day. She could have extracted my tooth when I was in the office. She told me I needed medication first because the medication to numb me wouldn’t work because of my pain. I had very little pain. She even referred me to an Oral Surgeon. For what ? I have no idea. My tooth was not that bad to to see one of those. Very nonchalant. This office even had the nerve to try to charge me $1100 just to get two teeth pulled and a cleaning. When my insurance covers most of that. This is a money hungry office. ??

I keep trying them because I really like their dentist, but the girl told me I had a balance ( even though she couldn’t fully explain it and I just paid over $1500), after going back and forth, i gave her my card.. my mistake because what she told me BEFORE she swiped my card and right as she swiped my card were 2 different amounts. I asked for them to cancel the charge and I was told they can’t cancel or return. They have to submit the request, I asked that they do. Called in 2 days later because the charge now is posted, the girl doesn’t see the request, told me she would ask the office manager ( which she never placed her on hold to ask) and then proceeded to tell me it could be weeks to months before I get my refund.

I didn't even get to go to this place & I'd give it 0 stars if I could. I called to schedule a root canal in which I was referred by my primary dentist. The office didn't answer, which the reviews said they wouldn't, so I spoke to someone at the call center who said I'd need to speak directly to the office to schedule any endodontist appointments, however, she was able to schedule an appointment for my wife & gave me the direct line to the office in case I wanted to try giving them a call on my own time. So I schedule my wife's appointment with the call center rep & tried to give the office a call to schedule my root canal. Again, no one answers at the office, so it re-routes me back to the call center. I advised the call center rep that she couldn't help me because of what the previous rep told me. She insists the other rep was wrong & that I have to schedule a new patient appointment before being able to get the root canal. I don't know the rules, I don't work here, so I just followed along with providing my information as requested for the "new patient appointment". We get off the phone & I receive an email with my wife's name on it (I gave them my wife's email for her appointment confirmations) but with my appointment time & date. How do you collect all of someone's information for a "new patient appointment" & then proceed to change my wife's appointment in your system & change the email address in which she receives her communications. The people are giving incompetent, so to save myself a headache, I canceled the appointment & I'll be going somewhere else. My experience was enough to confirm that all these reviews are correct for giving them 1 star. Don't send me a generic comment from your AI bot, DO BETTER!

We drove 2 hours away to see Dr. Ashlee Goodman-Tabari and had such an amazing experience . Very Professional, educated us on the services needed and most importantly, made us feel comfortable. I recommend this practice to anyone seeking dental service. Thank you !

IN SHORT: FIND ANOTHER OFFICE TO VISIT. YOU WILL WASTE TIME HERE.The office staff is nice enough. Whomever manages their appointments needs to be replaced. There is no way a simple exam and cleaning should call for a 2-3 hour window.I visited this office for a 9:30 appt, by 10:30 I had not seen a hygienist or doctor, only had x-rays.I scheduled an appointment to complete the check-up and exam for the next day at 2pm, assuming the long wait the day before may have been a one off bad timing.I returned for the 2pm appointment, I was called back at 2:40, waited and the hygienist came in at 3:05 to not clean my teeth but only check my gums and informed me that the doctor would be in to see me next and then after the doctor she could do my cleaning. While waiting I read the reviews online and noticed this office has a pattern of long waits. Anyway, at 3:35 still no doctor, I decided to leave. Also a note on the reviews. They are obviously offering discounts or some incentive for the 5 star reviews. If you check the reviews, they are majority 5 star and 1 star. Trust the 1 star. Please do better and have some basic respect for your patrons time.

No kind of sympathy. After was stuck in a room for another 30 to 45 minutes.Lady came in and explained a few thing, butwasn't offered any choices. Was lead out and I will call by Friday at the latest. They had problems with my insurance. Asked andsaid if you tell me I cam help. "Jamie at extension 2" said don't worry, I'll call by Friday if not call me.I've called 3 or 4 times left messages and nothing.

I wish I read the reviews before I went here. I recently switched insurances and needed a new dentist, so I set up an appointment w/ Aspen bc they showed as in network…. I was told to arrive 15mins early for my 8:30am appointment, only to be standing outside (w/ 4 others) until they opened the doors at 8:35. It was 15 mins past my appointment time by the time I was checked in. Then I waited for over an hour to see the dentist (which apparently you have to do before they’ll even consider cleaning your teeth). She checked me and then told me I had to speak to billing before they could try to “squeeze me in” for a cleaning. This is where I found out that they were in fact not in network and I was quoted over $700 for a cleaning. Considering I gave my insurance card and confirmed over the phone before my visit and with the front desk upon arrival, I was not happy to hear this AFTER being in the office for over an hour and a half. Even if I had been in network, I still would have had to wait for a cleaning as you are not guaranteed to be seen by a hygienist on your visit. Not worth the aggravation and time spent

I scheduled an appointment with them on July the 3rd, they made 0 effort to communicate with me that they were not open on this day. The automated scheduling system that they have in place let me schedule a day that they weren't open, then I got no notification that they were closed.Sure this should have meant I'd check when the dentist was open, but I'd assume if I could schedule they'd also be open. LOL.Unfortunately my $3 in gas and 40 minutes of driving did mean I will be changing my choice in dentistry, and the $11 in Panera Bread sandwich was better than my visit.

Terrible customer service!!!! I’ve been trying to get my deposit back ever since canceling my future appointments back in April. They first told me that there was a system outage and it wouldn’t be restored until June. I’ve tried calling multiple times and either there’s no answer or they transfer me to a ghost line. I even went in person to their location and was told that I needed to make a phone appointment to resolve the refund issue. They didn’t keep their appointment and haven’t been giving me a direct answer. Please do not trust this company!

I wish i had read the reviews before going to Aspen; my experience was similiar to recent reviews. They tried to say i needed a two part cleaning, a "gingivitis" cleaning as well as other questionible procedures. I brush and floss 3 times a day, and have never had a cavity. Only wanted a routine cleaning, but they kept pushing for extra procedures. The wait time for everything was extremely long. I can't believe this place has any repeat customers.
