Called weeks ago to cancel our unit - left a voicemail with my callback number and no one reached out.(I got sick and completely forgot to follow up again…) I went by their office during office hours and the doors were locked with the lights on. I tried calling and no one answered. They don’t ‘pro-rate’ the units so even though the payment is due on the first and I requested a move out date (finally saw that option online ?) of the 4th they can’t refund me for the rest of the month that won’t be used. The price of the unit went up twice since we’ve been there (which I believe was only a year…) even though our payment was on autopay so never missed.

I have been using Public Storage in Mechanicsville Va for more than a year. During a very stressful transitional episode in my life I had the good fortune to come into contact with Cora. Miss Cora was here on a very difficult day for me while in my storage unit. She was so nice, understanding, compassionate, and helpful. Every time I come here I am so happy when she is on duty. Always makes me smile, she is a true Angel sent to help me during a very difficult time. I have no idea what you are paying her, but it’s not enough! Give this wonderful woman and employee a raise!!
