I recently took my 8-week-old puppy, Lucy, to see Dr. Wormley for her wellness check and routine tests, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! Dr. Worley was incredibly caring and thorough, making sure Lucy felt comfortable throughout the visit. It was a nice surprise to receive a follow-up call from Dr. Wormley today, checking in on our new puppy's progress.
We’ve also had the pleasure of working with Dr. Kilgore in the past, who is equally amazing. This veterinary practice truly stands out for its kind, attentive, and knowledgeable staff. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a compassionate and skilled team to care for their pets!

We love Dr. Green!! She’s so patient and kind and really takes the time to explain everything in a way that can be understood. It’s apparent all the staff at Rutland really love our fur babies and treat them as their own! We have never felt rushed when bringing them in whether it’s for a wellness exam or illness. There have been a few times we needed to get them seen ASAP and they were able to fit them in that day or the next day.

I always have positive experiences at Rutland Animal Hospital. I appreciate the care, especially as both of my cats get very anxious. Every vet, tech, and receptionist I’ve interacted with has been courteous, kind, and professional. I highly recommend Rutland Animal Hospital!

The absolute best! Dr. Greene, Dr. Kilgore and Dr. Worley have taken the best care of my many furbabies over the years. The vet techs and front desk staff are also great. Highly recommend!

I went in thinking I’d be walking out with my baby, my Chihuahua, Prissy. Little did I know she was going through heart failure and I had to say goodbye after 14 beautiful years. The patience and sincerity from the staff truly helped me get through. The memorial that was prepared brought so much joy to my heart. I just want to thank everyone at Rutland for making such a tough process an amazing experience at the same time. I will never forget 7/22/24 ❤️

my little chihuahua Lola was very happy with the staff , the service and how much her new vet cares fir her well being . Going forward , this will be the only vet that my little Lola will be going to . Thank you so much Rutland Animal Hospital !

After learning Dr. Kilgore supports letting the invasive house cat outdoors (which is bad for the cat, but mostly wildlife), I have very little confidence in his recent education. If you favor irresponsible, outdated pet ownership, he’s your guy.

I had been referred to Dr. Dugan by my friend who also has an aging cat. Dr. Dugan is definitely an expert on cats and gave my cat a thorough exam and made some good recommendations for some issues I was having. She did not rush the visit and explained everything thoroughly and was happy to answer all my questions. The other staff who helped with drawing blood and xrays etc were very nice and professional. I would definitely recommend Dr. Dugan and the clinic.

We always have a good experience at Rutland Animal Hospital and Mechanicsville Animal Hospital. They are attentive and available to answer any questions. We have taken multiple dogs to them.
