Needed help, went to customer service and requested. Help was paged over head to my aisle. No one ever came. Going elsewhere.

I rented an 18" trencher here. The employee Marcus Keene was very helpful and had a very posititive attitude.

Whenever I need plants or gardening items, I check here first. Their prices are very reasonable and most of the time, their plants are in really good shape. They have a good selection of plants as well as foods and fertilizers. I've gotten so many plants from them that have just flourished! The only downside is that it depends on the staff on duty as to how much they know and are able to help you with the plants. If I want something and they don't have it, I've had employees at this location take the time to help me go to the website and find it, then figure out free shipping. When my mom wanted an item and the website said they had a lot in stock but we only saw the floor model, a few employees went out of their way to go looking in the back in the unpacked delivery. They found a bunch of them and brought them all out to us! Now we have a nice wood cooler for the summer. The staff at this location are very nice, their selection is really good, and they take really good care of the plants. This is my favorite home Depot, locally, and it's not just because it's right across the street from my neighborhood.

There service is terrible. They don't answer the phone and when they do, they give you the wrong information. Nobody knows anything. Where do they get their recruits. Service at this location and the intown Home Depot is like night and day.

Went in to buy a bunch of shelves and didn't realize that Home Depot had still yet to get contactless pay so when I asked if I could just do a pickup order real quick through online..but apparently that was to much to ask.. instead of driving home to get my wallet..I drove down the street to lowes..should of just done that first! Don't even waste your time here!

Horrible customer service they canceled my order without telling me and they also have no clue what's going on. I ordered $10,000 worth of flooring material and the store employees have no knowledge of anything. I WILL NOT SHOP THERE ANYMORE!!!!!!. They screwed up my order so bad!!!

The Home Depot has been our go to home improvement store and we have had good experiences. However, please know that renting tools there is a terrible idea. I went online and made a reservation for an aerator. I went online and saw the only availability was on Sunday, so I rented one for 4 hours (2-6) and paid a $150 deductible. I got my lawn and my neighbors lawn ready to be serviced only to get an email that my reservation had been canceled about 1.5 hours before my rental time. After 15 minutes of getting the run around because nobody would pick up the phone in rentals, I called the store manager. She was polite but informed me that this is a busy time of year (which is why I made a reservation) and they defer to in-store customers for their rentals. Basically, I was out of luck. When I called corporate headquarters to relay my concerns, the gentleman was polite but said he noticed that this has been happening in other stores but really didn't seem to care very much about the problem. He told me he would relay my concerns but he didn't seem very invested in my concern. In addition to canceling my reservation, they kept my $150. When my wife called, they did not have record of the transaction. I will say they called me back and said we should be refunded by Thursday (4 days after it was deducted). While I recommend Home Depot for most anything else, I would stay very clear of their rental department if you plan on making a "reservation".

We made the terrible decision to have our bathroom floors redone through Home Depot. I did everything online to save myself a trip to the store since I have a baby, chose my measure date, and picked out a tile that showed on stock at the Mechanicsville location. When the gentleman came to measure I gave him the tile SKU and watched him put it in and was told I would be contacted shortly. After a week went by without a call, I reached out and was told I needed to pick a tile, hence why they hadn't called. I gave the tile SKU a second tile and after being pressured to pay over the phone (I refused to), was able to get the quote emailed to me. The tile choice was wrong and I had to call again to get it corrected. When I asked the man I spoke with why it was double the price it was showing online he said that the online price was my location's price, and he had to charge me the nationwide price (what??). We had a disastrous experience with the floor installation and I went into Home Depot in person to work on getting it corrected. I met Elizabeth (the only positive thing about this review) and she started the ball rolling with the reinstallation. Her manager, Nyisha, needs to take customer service lessons from Elizabeth. While Elizabeth called me daily when necessary, even if it was just to tell me she didn't have an update, Nyisha avoided my phone calls and refused to discuss any type of compensation, quoting company policy. Elizabeth ordered new materials to be delivered to our house and upon delivery, the drivers refused to bring it inside or put it in our garage, instead just dumping the pallet on our lawn. I had to track down someone at the store (Robert), who was equally flabbergasted why they wouldn't put it in the garage. Unfortunately it rained before he was able to come out later that day and personally bring them inside and some of our materials got soaked and the installer had to buy new before he could begin work After the reinstallation went equally disastrous (we actually sent the tiler away partway through the job), I spoke with Nyisha and explained in detail the issues we had and that we no longer wanted to work with them. I emailed everything to her at her request (on a Friday night) and then was just left waiting. She never responded to my emails or phone calls and I ended up having to track down Elizabeth the following week, who then had Nyisha contact me on Wednesday. Again, she tried to point the finger and blame other parties, never taking responsibility. Thankfully Elizabeth called me back the same day and sent me a digital receipt for a full refund. It should not have taken this long or required so much effort on my part. I wish Elizabeth would be given the authority to make more decisions and maybe the installation department would be run a little more smoothly. They work with a flooring company called Romanoff Renovations if you want to read the novel of a review I wrote on their page and see pictures of the poor workmanship.

This review is not about the Home Depot at this location( Mechanicsville VA) but about the appliance delivery service they use. I ordered a washer on March 27, had to wait till May 24 for delivery. Day of the delivery I received a call at 9am saying I was next. The crew didn't show up. Got a call from the supervisor and he said the crew was lost. Gave him additional directions. I called him back about 10:00 to get a status update, and was informed he could not reach the crew. I called about every hour for an update (about 5 times) they would not return my call. Finally got hold of the general manager the delivery service. He had no people skills and said there was NOTHING HE COULD DO. And that I would have to reschedule the delivery (they were booked for almost two weeks out). I wasted and entire day off for this. So I went to Home Depot and cancelled the order. I will say the employees at Home Depot were polite and helpful. I went to Lowes that same evening and bought the washer and took it home. One note Home Depot does not allow appliance purchases to be picked up in the store. You have to have them delivered. The name of the delivery company is MID Inc.

The Home Depot has been by my side since becoming a homeowner! I've come to appreciate the staff and this location so much more during quarintine. No matter my mood or my project the employees are always happy to guide me. The first Saturday of the month the Home Depot offers free building classes for kids. My kids love coming to Home Depot so much and were devastated when they couldn't work on their little projects because of COVID. Luckily the store is still handing project kits out for the kids to work on at home!

I will drive the extra 15-20 minutes to avoid this location. Shelves are disorganized and in shambles. Inventory is consistently wrong compared to what is said online. Scarce store associates to help.
