Glad to see I am not alone with my frustration with dealing with this branch! Our money is in your bank - BE PROFESSIONAL!! Courtesy, goes a long way. It is NONEXISTENT at this branch! High turnover rate - I can definitely see why! The folks I deal with here are MISERABLE! Give the job to someone that wants to be there!

Whatever happened to service with a smile? My last two visits to the Mechanicsville branch were not the greatest. Had the same teller both times. Was greeted with a blank look on her face. When I made my requests I got the feeling she felt inconvenienced. Reluctant to help. She acted like she was doing me a favor both times. Thankfully most transactions can be done online. But I guess these days that's just the attitude you have to deal with. The Colonial Heights branch isn't much better. Not a good attitude there either. To the management staff - Do Better.

Customers should never have to be charged a Cashier's Check fee. If you’re a “non customer” then yes. But if you are a customer, just like a bunch of other banks, I feel Atlantic Union should not charge a $10.00 fee to customers for them to do a cashier’s check. That’s all.

On the AUB web site "About us" page they say the bank is "customer-focused" and the customer "can expect more" well, the tellers and manager at this branch CLEARLY have no concept of this.
They all act as though the federal government is their customer, and the depositors are an extreme inconvenience.
I go into that branch once a week - and everytime I do, I see different tellers there - with the extremely high turn over rate - they never bother to recognize a regular and as such they never seem to handle a situation the same way twice. In fact, the "new person" tends to treat you like a money laundering criminal.
When I complained to the "Manager of the day" about the lack of customer service - he told me that because of money laundering most banks "AUB included - are getting away from dealing with cash" and not once during our conversation did he apologize for the treatment or suggest they will do better.
My wife and I will be closing our accounts with AUB and taking our business elsewhere.

worthless...can't get anyone to answer the phone, call me back, even after driving to the branch and being assured my changes were made, they weren't and Ive called, emailed, left messages...have to wait on another day off to go back. There have to be financial laws or rules against this type of negligence and treatment. Not pissed off enough to go through the headache of switching banks, but close. .

Ok here goes, I have worked hard to rebuild my credit after some past issues. Go in for a personal loan, showed the branch person my credit score via credit karma and she was like this is great. They came back and stated that credit karma is not a reliable source that my credit score (Which they pulled from Equifax) was in the mid to upper 600's and set a ridiculously high interest rate for me. At this point I am curious about my credit score so i sign up for the paid service with Equifax so I can address the potential issues on my report. To my surprise my score was almost mid 700s on Equifax, oh and the other 2 agencies as well. Sent this information to the person that helped with the loan and heard nothing but crickets. Sent follow up, crickets! Now I am stuck with a high interest loan and have to keep an account open and my direct deposit through work open so I do not breach the terms of the loan. I can promise you this, I will be switching banks and already started the process, eventually i will refinance this loan with another bank and will close everything. I guess my business is not enough to even justify a response. Renee since you responded I will address you personally. You gave me an 800 number to call to help address my concerns. I had no idea it would be an automated attendant and would have to jump through hoops for ten minutes and still never talk to a live person. If this is how problems are addressed with AUB then I stand by my original review and will continue the process of getting everything transferred to another bank.

They have a very friendly staff that made me feel welcome and happy that I did business there. They took good care of my fiancee and I, and the manager came out and greeted us and made sure we had a pleasant experience as well.

Absolutely the best banking experience I've had in Virginia. The Mechanicsville branch has the most respectful and helpful staff. Just wanted to say I have absolutely loved my experience with this branch! I have been a customer of Atlantic union bank since I was a teenager and have always been impressed by their stellar customer service. Everyone at this branch is friendly and accommodating. Kathy was very pleasant and helpful with some paperwork I had to complete. Both of my interactions with her and this branch were absolutely amazing!

Poor customer service as if you have an issue or a problem they don’t agree with they cut you off and say you are being argumentative and don’t address the issue .
