Avoid this location. They consistently do not have cars yet you are able to make a reservation. If you don’t have cars available, you need to indicate that on your website. It’s that simple.

I'm giving this five stars because of the staff, I rented from this location in July and then returned in October, so, I'll likely continue to return and like I said, I'm giving five stars for the staff, the prices are pretty good too, however, I probably should go down a star or two because of the guy who was working when I returned the car, I told him specifics three or four times and he did what he wanted anyway, maybe check the staffing logs, -I returned the car on Sunday, October 15th around 12:45 PM, -there was a man and a woman working, both failed to pay me any mind and ignored me when I spoke to them, however the staff both times picking up the cars were really cool guys and I appreciated them both, the parking lot looks janky, ha, -I'll return though .. ?♀️

Avis had the only rentals available in town and I was stranded during a work trip. Shoutout to both gentleman who helped me out during this mini crisis!

Is it too much to expect that you get anything that you requested on the required reservation? Time, type of vehicle were not met. Customer service poor.

AVISI should have known when I picked up the car at RIC and the guy mumbled and said your car is E blah blah and by blah blah I mean he mumbled so incoherently that I did not understand - I thought I did but obviously I didn’t as I spent 7 mins wondering around the parking garage looking for my car pressing the unlock button. I wasn’t the only one either experiencing this issue - there were 3 of us - finally I decided to use the lock button and located my car back at the beginning ?Then as I began to drive I realized the car was a smoker’s car -in spite of the signs posted everywhere - $450 fine for smoking in the car. There was ash everywhere. I was headed to the other side of town & I couldn’t go back because I had an appointment I needed to get to.I met with my client and then called the Richmond airport AVIS- after I spoke to customer service about the fact that the car had obviously been smoked in and I did not want to be charged, the agent told me to take it to any store to exchange the car. I gave the zip code and asked if he was sure the store had a car. He said they would and it would not be a problem. He asked if I wanted to talk with customer service to document the smoke and I asked if it was necessary - I said I don’t want to be charged for the smoke and he said to make sure that is the case you should talk with them and document it - I was transferred and I told them the story - I also double checked the location and he said they would have plenty of cars.I drove to the location, told him the situation and guess what - surprise surprise - he had no idea what was going on - said I must mean the other location down the street so he called them to check meanwhile I called customer service- after talking with them they told me my only option was to drive 45 minutes back to the airport to exchange the car. I talked about the phone call and he had no record and again said my only option was to drive back to the airport. I talked about how ridiculous this was that I had to go out of my way to exchange cars - I was already late for another meeting.I said, this was on them - the guy said I get it but this is all he can do - he was overseas- I have to go back to the airport. I asked if he could transfer me since that is the number I originally call and he said if he did it would just come back to his call center. No Help at all - meanwhile I drive a car with ashes and a horrible smell. Terrible customer service.

Small Avis site but staff is great. Manager is always super friendly and helpful. If Avis corporate was half as competent as this site it would be awesome.

Renting with Avis was very convenient. Their location and customer service representatives were knowledgeable and friendly. The location I used however needs to acquire additional vehicles and make sure they are cleaned before rentals.

I had an excellent rental experience, from reservation to final receipt! I especially want to mention Darry, my rental agent. I felt HE was exceptional. His attention to customer service was so refreshing. Truly a professional in every way!

1. I was Charged for a cleaning fee when the car I received was filthy. I did not put a pet in the car, but I did Have the pleasure of riding with stains on the steering wheel, hair in the back, food crumbs on floor board, cigarette hole in the back seat (although it is a smoke free car), seat belts gross. This was the only car available for me to take, despite my reservation for a 4Runner. I scheduled To pick the car up at 8am and the employee did not have the 4Runner ready - this car either.2. I was Charged a late fee, when the car was returned early. I was Told I had until 8:30am on 12/14 to return car, I returned it around6:45 pm on 12/13 and placed key in drop box.3. When I kept Asking where to send pics of cleanliness, I was Hung up on.

8am reservation. Showed up and the office was closed. After waiting for an hour and calling multiple times for help… nothing. Was promised someone was on the way, never showed. Horrible service.

Very happy with the service. The staff was very helpful and they gave me a clean vehicle that was extremely nice. I would recommend to anyone who needs a rental.

My wife and I rented a vehicle back in April for a trip to Myrtle Beach. I reserved and paid online for vehicle to move process along. We picked up vehicle and headed on our way, but had to return to location soon after. The initial vehicle drove and sounded like a tank. It was a Honda Pilot with what sounded and felt like bad tires. The transfer into another vehicle was pretty easy, so I do applaud that process. With turning around to return vehicle it did throw us back about an hour towards our trip as it's a little over 5 hours to Myrtle Beach. We returned the vehicle 3 days later on a Sunday by using drop box. A week or so later, I was checking my credit card statement and to my surprise I had another charge from Avis for $136.69. I called the location at my earliest convenience several times with no answer. I know I called over 5 times with no answer on multiple occasions. I then contacted my credit card company thinking Avis had made an error as I didn't have any damage ,etc. to warrant any additional charge. The claim process went on for months as my credit card company never reached anyone with Avis, so they closed my claim dispute. I'm thinking everything was fine. A few weeks ago I get a letter from a collections agency. I was highly irritated as I take my credit very seriously. I called Avis' corporate /customer service # which was a waste of time. I was charged an additional day that I was unaware of because we turned in car the day it was due but after they closed. I was ok with charge if that was the case, but to not communicate before sending it to collections is bad business. My address and phone number was available. I hate to break ties with a local business, but this has really rubbed me the wrong way. I rent vehicles pretty often for trips, but I'm sorry, Avis will not be my go to any longer. In any productive relationship- communication is key....

I've had nothing but good experiences coming to this Avis facility. Staff is friendly, and they always have what I need ready to go. I'll continue coming here for my rental car needs.
