I went to get my toes painted. They offered everyone a cup of fruit, mimosas and wine. I guess if you just get a polish change with gel and not a pedicure you don’t get offered anything.

MEGAN works the front desk and is extremely rude. Please don't spend your money here if you are AFRICAN AMERICAN. Today was my second time visiting the Midlothian location the first time was good. However today MEGAN was dismissive as I stated my needs. As I tried to be proactive and address my concerns with her lack of customer service it got worse. I was told that there were other shops In the area that I could go to. So that's exactly what I will do. DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY HERE IT IS NOT APPRECIATED. I doubt I would have received such poor customer service from MEGAN if I was of another skin tone. The rest of the staff were great however MEGAN is the owner and needs some customer service training.

First time visiting & will be returning. I went on a Saturday and waited about 20 mins which is not an issue considering I didn't have an appointment on a Saturday. Staff is friendly and salon is clean and organized. Great service!

No licenses on display in the front, I genuinely believe half the nail techs are NOT licensed. Unexperienced nail techs charging insane prices for not nice quality nails. I’ve gone here quite a few times. Sometimes it’s a good experience. But the techs keep changing prices to whatever they feel like. They claim it’s due to the nail techs experience but some of them were literally just learning and shadowing the other techs. Normally I go to another salon and for $100 I get beautiful nails with tips and designs. But when I come here they are charging $110 for a gel pedicure and dip nails with no tip. Little to no massage for a pedicure. I had to ask her to use the razor. Didn’t even use lotion afterwards, just slathered cuticle oil on my feet.

I think they're not providing Wi-Fi for a client who visits three times a month, saying that if they share the Wi-Fi, their system will go down. So if you come here to get a pedicure and get some work done, don't have a bad time coming here.

I visited the salon on August 6, 2025, and received both a manicure and pedicure from the nail technician, Yannis. The first issue arose when selecting a red gel polish. I was specifically looking for a blue-based red rather than an orange-toned red. Due to the lighting in the salon, it was difficult to accurately determine the true shade of the polish. As a result, I relied heavily on the technician’s guidance in choosing an appropriate color. Unfortunately, once the service was completed and I was able to view my nails in natural lighting, I discovered that I had two visibly different shades of red on my nails—one with a glitter finish and the rest in a solid, but mismatched, shade.
I left the country the following day. By August 8, two of my nails had already chipped. Upon returning, I visited the salon again on August 18 and spoke with Megan regarding the issue. I offered dated photographs to substantiate my claim. Megan referenced a three-day policy for addressing concerns, to which I responded that I had been out of the country and had only just returned. I requested only the removal of the gel polish, which she agreed to do at no charge. However, I question whether this can truly be considered a complimentary service, given that I had paid over $100 for a manicure and pedicure that lasted less than 10 days.
The technician who performed the removal, Tee, provided excellent service. She was efficient, applied cuticle oil, and reshaped my nails thoughtfully.
What I found most disappointing was Megan’s lack of acknowledgment or apology regarding the poor quality of the initial service. Given the price paid, I expected a significantly higher standard of care and professionalism. Whether the issue lies with the quality of the products used or the potential dilution of those products to extend their usage, the result was unacceptable. This experience has led me to decide that I will not be returning to this salon.
P.S. The last 2 photos were taken in the salon before the gel was removed. Initial service was 8/6. Removal 8/18.

I love Escape Nails! I don’t get my nails done often but when I do, Escape is my go to! The service and atmosphere are always wonderful but tonight made my experience amazing. I showed up later towards closing looking for a mani/pedi but knew I probably only had time for a manicure. Rachel was my nail tech and was so sweet, took her time and stayed late to make sure I got what I wanted, and I went home with the best nails I’ve gotten from this salon! She made my day and birthday weekend so special! I hope Escape knows what a great person they have on their team!

Absolutely never going back. I have been getting my nails done for years and have never had such a bad manicure. I recently moved and tried this place twice. Both times my nails were done in a rush and chipped/broke within 5 days of getting them done. They were nearly translucent both times because they were filed down so thin and nail polish quality was horribly watery. While the salon is pretty and fruit/water is served, they do not do quality work here. I do not recommend at all.

This was my first time visiting this salon and while Kim did a great job on my nails, unfortunately the price that I was told by the receptionist when I inquired via phone call was totally different than what both Kim and the manager/owner wanted to charge me upon completion. When I called, I was quoted $60 for a builder/liquid gel manicure, plus an extra $5 for French, so I was expecting to pay $65 total. When I got to the salon, the same person I spoke to on the phone confirmed the $65 price by showing me the menu book, so I decided to go through with the service. When Kim was finished with my nails, she began calculating the price told me it was going to be $85. Both surprised and perplexed, I told her that’s not what I was told and she said she would do $80 because my nails were short and because I was told a different price to begin with. Still confused as to why I was quoted $65 but then charged almost $80+ after completion, I questioned the charge with the receptionist when I went to pay. The receptionist again confirmed that the service I received should’ve been $65 and not $80+ but asked the manager/owner standing beside him for confirmation. She proceeded to tell me that Kim, “shorted her money” by only charging me $80 instead of $85. I expressed to her that I was told the service would be $65 not once, but now three times and that is what I was expecting to pay. She then pulled out the menu book and told me that whatever the receptionist told me was wrong and explained that a builder/liquid gel manicure is $60, plus $20 for gel polish, plus $5 for French, so in total $85. I think it’s ridiculous that I was quoted an amount that was $20 off, nor was I informed that gel polish, in addition to builder/liquid gel is an additional $20. This means that I was charged for 3 different things; builder/liquid gel manicure ($60), gel polish ($20) and French ($5). This should all be clearly listed out on the menu. If I got regular polish with French, it would have been $65 but Kim nor the receptionist found it important to mention this. Because the receptionist made the mistake by telling me the wrong price and confirming it (three times), the manager/owner should have honored what he told me. It is not my fault the receptionist does not know the correct prices. The manager/owner’s tone and disposition was extremely condescending and disrespectful, especially towards a paying customer who was just trying to gain clarity on what I was told versus what I was expected to pay. While Kim did an outstanding job on my nails, the manager/owner was completely disrespectful and nasty and because of her attitude and the way she talked to and treated me, I will not be returning, nor will I refer anyone to this salon to support her business.

Went in today with my mother to get a manicure. We were greeted by a mean lady who claimed to be the manager. She asked what we wanted (with exactly these words), we told her we were there for a manicure. She replied “I don’t understand you, speak clearly “ so I repeat myself and she answers in a very condescending attitude “why do you look so mean and crazy” 😳. I answered, that is no way to speak to a client, specifically when I spoke to her with respect and answered her question. I asked to speak to the manager. She stated she was the manager. Well this is very sad to hear. I have been here multiple times before and greeted nicely by others. My advice is not to come here if “the manager” has no respect for her clients. I have never been treated like this in my life. 0/5 rating
