This office is why I stopped going to a primary care for years. I was being seen for consistent stomach pains, and they were trying to figure it out. I had two health insurance policies. However, they apparently were billing both, and when the insurance companies found out, neither would pay, saying that it was the other policies responsibility. Of course, they didn't tell me that (I found out later), and just wanted ME to then pay them out of pocket. After the insurance companies stopped working with them, they dropped me as a patient with a automatic response and no option to even have them review the case to figure out what happened. I guess I was over insured for their practice. Dr. Yeatts himself was wonderful, despite never really finding the problem. Whenever I hear about all the problems with healthcare in the US, I think of Family Practice Associates.

I was sad when Jodi Caddell left the practice because she was an excellent nurse practitioner. I decided to see Kelley Flowers per the office’s recommendation. I will not be back. The nurse(?) had no identification on, and could not do a simple blood draw. Twice. Her excuse was that I was dehydrated but I was not. I wasn’t very impressed with the PA either. I’ve never had a doctor look at my ankles, while wearing pants, socks and shoes, and said they looked fine! The whole experience seemed very unprofessional. I still have to make another trip for my routine blood work. This practice can at least try to be more professional and make sure their staff is trained in basic skills.

I called to set appointment, I was told I haven't been in over 3 years, now I'm considered a new patient and they aren't taking any new patients. only health care gets away with such poor treatment of their clients.

I went in to see Dr. Buchanan for a prescription refill. I had been seeing Jodi Caddell for a while so needed to establish a new doctor for my refills. He took the time to go through my list of meds and talk to me about each one. He also discussed my long use of Nexium and the side effects from long time use. No one had done that before so I really like that. He is former military and you can tell but I really like him!! I intend on making him my permanent doctor because it is obvious that he truly cares about his patients.

I normally have a good experience as I am a patient as FPA, but I recently took my mother to her annual visit. Since they asked her questions about her health, and she said she had knee problems, they coded an additional visit on top of the annual well visit (which is free). At no point did they advise that this would cost extra or should be scheduled as a separate visit. Every patient should expect to be able to discuss their overall health with your physician at an annual visit (a senior citizen will likely have ongoing issues), without fear of being secretly charged. At no point during my discussion with billing did they express any agreement that it should be corrected, and my mother was stuck with the extra charge.

We were patients of Jodi Caddell for a few years, loved her. My husband was scheduled for a physical in July, but a week or so before, he was called and told he needed to reschedule because Jodi was leaving the practice, so they put him on with Patel. Day of his appt, he gets a call that he needs to reschedule because the provider called in. Okay. Whatever. Inconvenient but stuff happens. Two weeks later, he goes in for his physical, Patel asked him some questions about his medication and history, VERY brief, done. A few weeks later, I see they billed my insurance for a physical AND an additional office visit!! I call the practice, they say it’s because my husband discussed an issue that was outside of what is done in a physical!! So I guess when the doctor asks you what medication you are on, DON’T ANSWER!! They will charge you to answer questions!! PATHETIC! Jodi never did anything like that, was always thorough and spent time. My husband called to speak with the office manager, had to leave a voice mail, didn’t hear back until a week later when he got a letter in the mail from her trying to explain the bogus charge. Coward didn’t even have the courtesy to call back and discuss. Do not trust this practice. We have gone elsewhere. AND he will not be paying that bill.

Wife went today 10/15/23 seeking relief of pain in her ear. When MD checked, he stated that he couldn’t do anything because there was no one to clean her ear so he could check it. Really aren’t you a trained clinician? However they still charged her the copay. No service provided, no relief for her pain. WTH

Through my insurance, an annual physical exam is of no cost however Family Practice Associates wants to charge me a copayment because I asked questions pertaining to my health. When I and my insurance company questioned how this was billed they stated that I cannot ask questions outside my annual physical. A good doctor would be thorough or brief, but they will spend time listening to your concerns and providing counseling for your particular complaints and risk factors. NOT at Family Practice Associates per them if you ask a questions, it's no longer an annual physical exam. I have never experienced this type of foolishness in my life. So now you cannot advocate for your health, without being charged extra, Ridiculous!

I called three weeks ago to make an appointment with my doctor, and was told that — if I wanted to see MY doctor — the first available appointment would be in 2024. To be seen within a month, I would have to see a PA or NP. Fine. I scheduled it for 3pm today.Their confirmation text asked me to arrive 15 minutes early (i.e., 2:45p). I arrived at 2:50p, provided my new insurance information, and completed three pages of paperwork. At 2:56p (four minutes BEFORE the scheduled appointment), I was called back to the desk and told that the PA said I needed to reschedule my appointment because I was more than 5 minutes late. Nevermind the fact I was actually early…I lost money by taking time off work this afternoon, and I’ve been fasting since last night. These people don’t have time for you. Don’t waste your time on them.(This frustration is not directed at the administrative staff — who I found delightful. They have my sympathies.)

It pains me as a healthcare provider to write a negative review, but I have to share our experiences with Dr. Robert Buchanan. For clarity, I've worked in medicine for over 25 years, and have never experienced this degree of derogatory, condescending behavior from an MD, DO, NP, nurse, tech, etc as my husband and I did at a new patient appointment on 8/4.Prior to this appointment, we/I had seen Drs. Lockard and Hartman and they were absolutely a pleasure to interact with.Dr. Buchanan is new to the practice and us. We made an appt to establish care with a new PCP for my husband, who is a super healthy male with no health issues. At the beginning of the conversation, when I answered a question for my husband bc he did not recall specifics details, Dr. Buchanan looked at my husband and said "we can have her leave and continue"..from that point forward, it was evident, he was interested in only his agenda. My husband discussed concerns regarding a specific family history item; Dr. Buchanan was instantly dismissive, despite my husband explaining what his family member had died from; previous conversations with Dr. Hartman had identified that he had a legitimate reason for seeing another specialist to further examine this. When we discussed specific labs we wanted to have drawn, Buchanan immediately shut that discussion down and indicated that "only endocrinology" orders that test. This is actually incorrect, bc I order it routinely for my own patients. My husband was "gas lit" bc he did not get yearly flu vaccines and declined a shingles vaccine. All in all, it was the most unpleasant provider: patient interaction I have ever been a part of or witnessed; I hope that other patients steer clear of Dr. Buchanan and select other providers or practices for their primary care needs. My husband will not return to this individual.

Been going here for years. Kristy Slaven is absolutely wonderful - she took time to sit and price prescription medications with me during an appointment. However, this practice will not schedule physicals on Saturdays, which is incredibly inconvenient. I understand that people don't want to work on a Saturday, but not everyone is able to take time off during the work-week either. This lack of flexibility makes taking care of one's health more difficult than it needs to be.

I have been going here for Decades and I am now seeing Dr. Lockard and NP Kristi and NP Jodi have helped me in the past when I can not get into to see Dr. Lockhard. They are all so professional and Caring, I have other Specialist offices that I go to regularly but this practice is the BEST. I always feel important and that my Healthcare matters to them!!

I love this practice and recommend them to anyone who asks! I've seen several of the doctors and PAs. I have nothing but good things to say of all of them. I chose Dr Decker as my primary. He is the first doctor that I felt heard me when I talked. Nurses are awesome, and the staff at the desk are great. I have listened as they have been on the receiving end of unpleasant patients. They have all done their best to remain professional. I admire that. I generally get appointments quickly especially when I get yet ANOTHER outbreak of poison ivy! Thanks everyone!
