We checked it at 11:30pm upon arriving to Walla Walla on a snowy Thursday evening. Our room was warm upon entering, clean, and the bed was comfortable to our preference. We are scheduled to stay here until Sunday morning. Today is Friday, and so far our staff encounters have been extremely friendly. The free breakfast provides many options for different preferences. For price of stay vs services provided, this is not only a great safe place to stay but also a great deal. Don't let the negative views prevent you from choosing this place. Either your glass is half full or half empty

They are rehabbing this hotel floor by floor. We were lucky and stayed in a room on floor that is newly renovated. Nice room, comfortable bed. Good price. Just over $100. Old windows = traffic noise. New furnishings but old door, so the light streamed in from the hallway through the door jam all night. It never got darker than dusk. That's with the blackout shade fully down.Standard hotel breakfast. Friendly service. Easy location. I'd stay there again. I'm not too picky for the low price, but the door thing really bugged me.

My recent stay at La Quinta Inn & Suites Richmond-Midlothian was, unfortunately, a massive letdown. In all my years of travel, I have never encountered such a misrepresented and disappointing experience. It's essential to share my feedback so that the hotel can improve its services for future guests. To begin with, there were significant discrepancies between the information provided on the hotel's website and Expedia and the actual conditions at the property. Here are some of the major issues I encountered during my stay:1. Elevator Troubles: The hotel's website and Expedia both claimed the presence of multiple elevators. However, on arrival, I found that only one elevator was operational, while the other had reportedly been out of service for months. This not only inconvenienced guests but also posed safety concerns.2. Breakfast Misrepresentation: The "included" breakfast turned out to be a disappointment. It consisted of poorly prepared round eggs and sausages that had been sitting out for hours. This falls far short of the quality of service one would expect from a reputed hotel.3. Room Assignment: I was placed on the pet floor, even though I did not have a pet with me. It appeared that all the king beds were on this floor, which went against my reservation preferences and made for an uncomfortable stay. To make matters worse, the bed itself was extremely hard, akin to sleeping on the floor.4. Bedding and Cleanliness: The provided pillows were unusually small, more like couch cushions than standard hotel pillows. What's worse, one of the pillowcases had blood stains on it. The towels in my room had long hairs on them before use, suggesting they were not changed regularly. The bathroom, including the shower, had visible hair on the floor, walls, and curtain. The mirror and lamps in the room were unclean and off-color, making the experience highly unpleasant.5. Safety Concerns: On the pet floor, I had an unexpected and concerning encounter with dogs that jumped on me as I exited my room. This was certainly not what I had anticipated during my stay.In conclusion, my visit to La Quinta Inn & Suites Richmond-Midlothian was far from the enjoyable experience I had hoped for. The discrepancies between the advertised services and the actual conditions at the hotel were both distressing and misleading. As a traveler who values honest representation and quality service, I hope that the hotel management takes prompt action to address these concerns and ensure that future guests do not have to face the same issues. It is my sincere hope that the necessary improvements will be made at this location to maintain the reputation and trust of valued customers.

They don't claim to be 5 star but the place is going downhill. We stay there because we travel with our dog. One of their elevators was slow and the other one doesn't work at all. The staff was considerate and let the guests ride first but there was no activity to fix the elevator.

I checked into the LaQuinta by Wyndham on 9/7/2023 around 10pm. It was late and I was very tired. They assigned me to room 525, where I took a shower and went to bed. The next day I woke up and notice I had bites on my arm, hand and face. I left for the morning to go to the hospital to see about my brother as that was the reason for my travel. When I returned back to the hotel around 9pm I decided to check my mattress. The mattress was soiled and dirty. I immediately took pictures and called the front desk. I showed them thebites on my body and the pictures of the mattress. They placed me in room 417. Again it's late so I am like ok. Room 417 had no hot water at all, I called the desk to let them know and was told there were no other rooms. I asked for a supervisor and was told they would be in on 9/9/23 at 7am. On 9/9/23 I packed up and went to the desk to speak to supervisor. I requested a refund and was denied. I showed the pictures and the supervisor was like wow...but still I did not get a refund. I am seeking a full refund and the information to the corporate office which the supervisor denied. I have pictures and I want the CEO to see them. I even showed the supervisor where I went to target to purchase Benadryl tablets and cream to help with the itching from the bites. The place was disgusting and something needs to be done. This is horrible service and showed that they did not care about the customer at all! La Quinta By Wyndham 1301 Huguenot RD Midlothian, VA 23113

Staff was great. Place was clean an updated. Then we pull the sheets back on the bed and it looked like there were stains. The Staff had no problem letting us have another set. But that set also looked the same. I know the second set was clean because they just came out of the dryer. So it would seem, the first set of sheets didn't have stains after all. They were old and very thin in some places. But it just doesn't look good. When your in the customer service business, I know money is the bottom line, but you gotta spend money on things the customer cares about. Especially sheets and mattresses. Yes lobbies must be appealing. But that's not what is important. I doubt we will ever stay at another Laquinta

We recently stayed here for a wedding in the area. The staff was very accommodating and were a joy to meet. The rooms were decent, and breakfast was a nice touch. This establishment is in a very good location. Everything you could need surrounds their grounds. We accidentally left a sun hat, and the staff is actumailing it back to us!Rooms: Decent roomsNearby activities: There's a mall nearby, several very good restaurants close by, Target, dry cleaners, gas stations, an upscale grocery store, Starbucks, and more, surrounding this hotelSafety: The area seemed quite safe.Walkability: You could walk to many of the surrounding establishments, but we had a rental car and made use of it.

Hotel was clean and quiet. Best part was the woman who prepares the breakfast!, Miss D! She is a HERO! A young man (maybe 17) was at breakfast and he passed out. He was on the ground and unconscious when Miss D stepped right in - she revived the boy and stayed with him while he recovered. She brought him water and apple juice. Turns out his blood sugar dropped and Miss D is a trained nurse! Amazing! The hotel is lucky to have her!

I saw all the hi and low reviews, but, booked here anyway - glad I did. After casually, speaking with someone who appeared to have ownership in the building, it was clear they are moving as fast as they can on improvements to the hotel - it takes time and money - supply chain issues didn't help.I found the hotel quiet, beds comfortable, generally pretty good and most important to me - a "constant on" fan to help reduce background noise at night - critical feature for me when I travel. One thing I found unsafe was the back door out of the lobby did not close all the way and was left open even at night. Hope they get that serviced soon.I'd stay there the next time I'm in Virginia.

I was disappointed by the poor conditions of the room we stayed in. The mattress was an old standard metal springs and was bent. The toilet run all night, because the rubber stopper was broken, so we had to turn off the water to sleep. Chose this hotel because it was close to my job for a one night stay. Got no sleep. Will not stay again.

I read the reviews prior to booking our stay. I thought how could we go wrong with a newly renovated hotel? The positives...as long as you stay in your room you feel okay. Our room was renovated nicely. Bedding was comfortable, bathroom fixtures were nice. There were some very odd features such as the light fixtures attached to the walls in the corner with the power switches being high, same with the bathroom light switch but whatever, we found them. The ANTS all over the window sill & desk however were not okay. When bringing this to the attention of the front desk, she was pretty nonchalant about it. Same with the front desk clerk the day before when she told about the elevator floor covered in something, I can only guess food & milk? It was disgusting & a hazard of slipping & falling. The elevator is out of the Shining too, it always stops on the 2nd floor when going up regardless of only pressing the 3rd floor button & the door opens & there isn't a soul in sight. Creepy! The public areas of the hotel were gross. Dirty bedding & food matter on the floor in the hallways, garbage in the ice maker area, the lobby entrance floor was filthy. Lobby bathroom was dirty. There is no air conditioning in the hallways, it just about floors you when you walk out of your room it's that stifling. Same with the lobby. It was 90 degrees outside & they had both the doors standing wide open. It's a shame. I believe the intentions are good with the renovation but the lack of housekeeping will ruin it before it is finished. Oh & when we were trying to checkout, there were 3 police vehicles there for a person who was "strung out" according to the desk staff. There are many choices of hotels in the area, we will not be staying at this one again.

Walked in to check in. The lady at the front desk said "Give me a minute" I took cash out, she said "we don't take cash" I said Good morning, she asked for my service animal card which I provided, ..she acted like she didn't care. Just very unprofessional and seemed liked not helping anybody. This was on 6/10/2023.The rooms were decent. But my initial impression won't allow me to stay there ever. Just rude, and under trained staff.

Stayed here about a week ago. Checkin was easy, staff was nice, rooms were clean, bed was soft, and breakfast was better than expected. I would definitely stay here again if I’m ever back in Virginia.

I would avoid this hotel for the following reasons:- terrible water pressure- bathroom fan did not work - how are towels supposed to dry?- no floor numbers in the stairway, so no idea what floor is what; does this even meet fire code standards?- stairway door had no handle, just a hole where it should have been (see pic)- first floor stairway door did not close properly- stains on blanket and sheets- hallway AC/Heat Unit cover unattached and lying on the floor
