They were so kind and patient with our scared puppy! Everyone at Midlothian animal clinic is kind, helpful, and compassionate to animals and people both. I will never bring my pets anywhere else.

Our fur baby always gets great care and attention at Midlothian Animal Clinic. We suspected a UTI, dropped off a urine sample and within two hours got a phone call with the results and a prescription filled. The staff is always friendly and the doctors are very thorough.

Upon entering the clinic, I was greeted promptly by fabulous staff members Carolyn and Oliva. Both women are so friendly and efficient. The wait time is usually short and the vet techs ask if there are concerns. Both Dr. Becky and Dr. Allison are so knowledgeable and informative. I have trusted them with all of my pets throughout the years.

We were looking for a vet since moving to Richmond and wanted to make sure they would be a good fit for our pets. They aren’t the closest beer to us but definitely worth the drive. The staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is warm and caring. They are honest and always willing to take the time to talk to us about our pets’ care. We would absolutely recommend them.

45 Years of impeccable service ruined by one horrendous event. We were expecting compassion, understanding, and support from Dr. Becky when we had to put down our beloved family dog of 11 years. Instead we received shame, hostility, a guilty finger, and a sales pitch. We will never step foot in that building again.

Great animal clinic. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. The vets are great and seem to really care about your animals, instead of just trying to make money. The assistants are also very nice and professional. My dog is my family, so I wouldn't take her there if I had one bad thing to say. Highly recommended.

The Midlothian Animal Clinic was so accommodating to our older dog who was having some mobility issues. They were able to get us in quickly for an appointment, did onsite testing for many possible causes and once diagnosed, quickly began treatment. During the visit, Dr. Becky went over possibilities, why she was suggesting certain tests, how much those tests would cost, what she hoped to gain from them - the entire experience was very informative and caring! She also called to follow-up on our dog and to give us the test results. I have been to four different vets in the area and this one is my favorite. We will be returning and will continue to bring our animals to see Dr. Becky and her colleagues. Also, we would have never gotten such a quick appointment without Kelly's help - I can't thank her enough!

I was very impressed with our visit with Dr. Tim Withers. He was very kind, calm, and caring and spent a lot of time with us and our cat. It’s been hard to find a vet who actually seems to like and understand cats in the area, so I was very happy to find Midlothian Animal Clinic and Dr. Withers. Would recommend this vet for your cat.

We have taken our three dogs to Midlothian Animal Clinic for 8 years now. The staff and doctors are all amazing! Very kind and cheerful, and super helpful. We love that they always send text reminder for appointments and follow up with a personal phone call after each appointment. Highly recommend!!

Dr. Shelly always gives us the best attention, and takes care of our babies with lots of love and attention. The entire staff is always great. Usually can get in same day if we need immediate attention. Wasn’t the case this time, maybe because of some changes in staff. I do hope it’s something they can go back to doing soon. My dogs are in the best hands at MAC. Thanks!!

Midlothian animal clinic has been the place my family and I have used for years. They are so caring and thoughtful from the beginning of your animals life to the end. Dr. Moon is so caring and did so well educating me about my new puppy! She took her time and listened to all of my concerns and at no point did I feel rushed. Olivia at the front desk was also so lovely and thoughtful!

This clinic is all about the money. The first time I called the office and asked for an appointment to get the influenza vaccine. I take time off work; I get there to be told that they are out of the vaccine. I get charged for an office visit. When I questioned them, they said they never know when they would be out and that the people booking appointments do not know about supply or lack of. However, someone at the front desk told me they had been out of it for 3 months when I was paying the bill for the visit. They absolutely knew when they boked my appointment that they were out of it but had me come anyway. The veterinarian says I am sorry, etc.etc, and I chose to give them the benefit of the doubt. Fast forward, 2 weeks later my dog is sick with diarrhea. I get prescribed the same metronidazole repeatedly over three visits by three different veterinarians for well over 30 days while my dog continues to be sick. Then I read that 50% of dogs show a reaction to the medicine and the side effect is diarrhea and sometimes fatal neurotoxicity!! One would think they would realize they the medicine is not working and prescribe something else. They also had me buy 120-150 dollars' worth of supposedly gut-friendly food that made him sicker. Charged me for a urine analysis but failed to let me know to bring a sample until after for 4-5 days when I called to speak to the vet and challenged their prescriptions. She says we were unable to collect a urine sample, so bring one. An afterthought that might have never been communicated to me but for the fact that I called them. The motivation is money and charging overinflated prices for prescriptions. Metronidazole can cause toxic reactions in dogs, one that was never conveyed to me. If you buy your prescriptions from the pharmacy they come with printed caution. Rude front office receptionists, and careless veterinarians who focus on money. Not worth the angst or a sick dog.
