Insurance recommended. Appointment availability was good but service wasn’t.Appointment at 10:30am, arrived 9:30am and completed at 4:30pm.Either the technician are over worked at this place or just don’t care about your car. Glass Repair are fine but the clean up or finishing are just sad. After inspection I found-2 broken secure push tabs,-1 teared rubber seal,-2 missing clips holding down the trim piece-Windshield fluid line wasn’t even connected-weather seal and interior linear wasn’t even installed back correctly.-tool was left in between the trim piece in hood

I had an extremely frustrating experience with Safelite where they were unable to recalibrate the electronics upon installing the windshield at my home. The technician instructed me to take the car into the shop, where he said the equipment would be better and it could be done quickly. After arriving at the shop, they took the car and I waited hours with no update. Finally, they said they couldn’t do it, and I should take the car to the dealer. Safelite charged $200 for the calibration they didn’t complete, and I had to pay the dealer another $350 to actually do it. When I called Safelite to dispute the charge, they literally hung up on me. I could not be more disappointed with this transaction and the lack of customer service from start to end. I only give a second star because the technician was friendly and the glass itself seems quality. The store customer experience was terrible though.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE...Two weeks ago a had a 9:00 appt to replace my windshield. I left my car and they said it would be done in a few hours. At 2:00, I got a call from the call center saying the windshield for my car was delivered, however it was damaged. Why at 2:00 are they just finding this out when I had a 9:00 appt? I was told they had no appts. open on Friday but could do it on Monday. The windshield was completely smash and unsafe to drive so I left my car with them. On Monday I had not heard anything, around 3:00 I called them. They have a terrible system where you can't call the shop, all the calls go to a call center. I was told the tech was working on my car and she guaranteed it would be done by 5:00. I live 30 mins away and had to get a ride. When I went to get my car the guys at the front desk all looked confused??? I was told after I told my ride they could leave, that they had not started my windshield yet but.... someone would stay late and "knock it out". I told them, they had my car for the last four days and I didn't want them to do a rush job. I was promised they tech would do it right and it would take about two hours. I wasn't planning on sitting around a closed glass shop all evening, but I took a seat. About five mins later a guy from the desk pulled up a chair next to me and said, he was so sorry, but they didn't have my windshield and they needed to order one and he promised it would be done in the morning. I'm now looking at taking an Uber ride home and back in the morning $$$. For my inconvenience he offered me a set of new wipers ($20 value). He didn't even know my car was only three months old and new wipers was the last thing I needed at that time. This shop is not run well and management needs to step up and make some drastic changes. When I finally got my car on Tuesday (I went without a car for 5 days) I was asked to give the tech that did the work a 9-10 star review. I will never go back to this shop.

This review isn’t written on emotion. I don’t hand out one or two stars unless it’s really bad. My insurance company set me up with Safelite when my windshield cracked. What a nightmare. The first three times they came out. The glass was damaged or broken. I had taken time from work on all three occasions. One of the technicians Rayshawn was excellent, so that’s why they get two stars. On the fourth attempt the glass had a scratch on it, but I finally excepted it despite the poor attitude from the technician. I asked to speak to the manager on multiple occasions and never heard from him. Terrible experience, terrible leadership, avoid at all cost.

My experience started on 2/12/24. I arrived at 9:30am with a ride home following behind. I believe a man named John confirmed my contact information and appointment then took my spare key. (I’d like to say this is the same key I give to all shops working on my vehicle). Around 4:40 that evening I still had not heard anything from Safelite, so I called in and I was told on the phone that the key I had provided would not unlock my car. The gentleman on the phone then said he would try it again.. at 4:40pm, 20 minutes before they close. Apparently several technicians and the guy John tried to unlock it to no avail. I went and got my car that night, luckily the associates were still inside so I retrieved my spare key as well. The guy, John I believe, wanted to see if I could unlock my car with the key I had provided, so we went outside and I unlocked my car after I gave it the good ole jiggle. I was then told “Well I didn’t want to break your key”.. We ended up having to reschedule getting my windshield replaced because they were closed and my windshield has not been fixed. My actual issue is why nobody reached out to me; a theoretical “Hey Ms. Marshall unfortunately your car won’t unlock for us, are you able to come back and provide a different key?” would have been what to do in this situation. I would have gladly came back at a reasonable hour (by 10:30am I should have had a call if my appointment was at 10am, just saying). To hold my car for 8 hours, an entire business day, after you confirmed my contact information is absurd to me. Cell number and email were confirmed. Had I not called them asking for an update who knows when I would have gotten my car back.Fast forward to last week, Monday 2/19/24. I arrived at 10:00am with my car and went ahead and gave them my actual key ring since I was planning on staying this time. The woman that checked me in was very rude. I told her I had a few questions about my appointment that day and she acted like I was bothering her. I explained to her what happened at my last appointment and all she said was “Do you even have the right key?” .. It was the right key the whole time, and I should have just left then honestly. I shouldn’t have let them touch my car, they clearly don’t know what they are doing or care to find out either. Anyways, she told me it would be about an hour and a half, and survey says that was a lie. Three hours later after watching four different people come and go after me, I still had no update on my vehicle. I asked about my car, after disappearing for a bit she came back and I was told with an attitude “30 minutes.” Well, another hour later, two other customers come and go my car finally comes out the shop. My car had a weird smell to it, like burnt plastic and cigarettes.I just overall am not satisfied with the services provided by this shop. And I do understand other standing appointments were going on, there are more than one technician, and some issues weren’t as severe as a full windshield replacement; but I saw my vehicle sitting in the middle of the bay without a windshield for 3 hours. I would not recommend anyone to goto this location ever.

Very cheap materials used in their windshields. We have had two (most recent today) where within days of replacement a new 6 in crack appears. Today the tech came out because I was sure it would be under warranty since there is no impact point and it comes from the seam. Tech came out and pointed to a pin prick in the seam that he called the impact point and so the warranty wouldn’t cover. He said the seam where the glue is would be softer and more suspectible to cracking and so I would just have to buy a new windshield. ( a second windshield in a week) There is no way a windshield should crack that easily if the material or construction wasn’t poor. We will never use them again.

This establishment is unreliable and I would not recommend anyone to this safelite auto glass. Why is it taking three months to get a windshield replacement when you know there is moisture inside of my car? This is no one but Chuck’s and the lady at the front desk who always is sitting with her face frowned up’s fault and I would love an explanation. This is the third windshield I have gotten and there is mold inside of my car. They sent someone to clean it out and now there is moisture in my break light. This is my brand new 2023 and I am devastated. Don’t bring your car here if you care about it.

Sent this to Safelite and never got a response or call after being told it was be escalated: “My husband is active duty on Fort Gregg Adams attending BOLC training. On September 4th, before his training started and he had availability, we booked to have his windshield replaced (Referral #899829) for September 7th (Thursday) between 1-6pm. We received the confirmation email stating to expect our tech that day and my husband waited around. No one showed, nor contacted either of us on that day. We received an email on Sunday, September 10th rescheduling us for Wednesday the 13th between 8-1pm. My husband started his military training on the 10th and no longer had availability during the day. I contacted by phone on 9/12 trying to speak to someone at our local office (nearest would be Richmond or Midlothian). I spoke with a gentlemen at a different location (Charlottesville) who said he would give me the number I needed, but that he was also contacting the manager to reach out to me. I did not hear from the manager on 9/12 or 9/13. The tech at least called on 9/13 that they were attempting to come, but I had already told the gentlemen I spoke to on 9/12, that my husband would not have availability at that time, nor did he have service to answer any calls. I called the number given by the employee from Charlottesville on 9/14 (thursday) and I spoke to a lady about the situation. She offered to schedule for a Saturday, but the soonest she could do was 9/30. I told her that was fine and specifically told her that we live on an army base. She said that y'all had some staff that had passes to get on the base and that it wouldn't be a problem and she would note it. Fast forward to 9/30. We receive a call from our tech who had no idea how to get on the base or if he would be able to. I told him what gate would be best to go to and I asked him to please call me if there were issues or have the office call me. I also informed him that the lady at the office had said that some staff had passes and he confirmed that yes, some staff do, but that he didn't AND that it was noted on our order that we were on a base. So even though it was noted and there are staff that would have had accessibility, we were scheduled with someone who didn't have that access. We told the tech that we would be leaving the house, but shared the location of the keys and asked him to call back if he wasn't able to get on. He never called back so we assumed that he was able to get in and service the car. We get home and the car is still not done and we received zero conversation from anyone in regards to why it wasn't done. We then received a notification on Tuesday October 3rd that someone would come Wednesday October 4th between 1-6pm. We are not available during the week, only on the weekend AND we need someone with base access. This has now been a month since we originally booked for our car to be done and it still hasn't. Communication has been very poor and the person that came on 9/30 should have had gate access figured out or a pass and at the bare minimum, called us back to let us know he was unable to replace the windshield.”Not worth the time.

We were extremely disappointed with the service provided by Safelite when they installed our windshield. The job was done incorrectly and caused us a great deal of inconvenience. We strongly advise others to avoid using their services.

They're quick to do cars. Forgot to hook back up my windshield wiper sprayers and service. In my opinion it’s useless to call customer support because you just get lied to. Convince comes at a price.
