Turn the calendar back & enjoy a country store with animal food of good quality along with horse & chicken accessories & meds for care. Lightweight pens are good for a few animals & garden supplies with plants & birdbath are plentiful for choosing. Get your lawn equipment here too! Fair prices & good selection of high quality. Pick out old fashion candy, casual attire with southern comfort ease, lotion & kitchen needs or BBQ wishes. Great humble store with simple parking & some shade. Excellent variety of items & jams too. Walk next door or drive & have dinner at 4pm at Extra Billy's. Home brews for a few dollars at a country style bar or dine outside on their nice covered big patio. Seating is expansive and decor is unique. One stop for a great afternoon into early evening.

I wish I could remember the name of the fellow who helped us decide which grass seed to purchase. He was outstanding and spent a lot of time talking us through the various options. The store is a refreshing place to visit when do you get tired of the big box stores, for its step back in time to when Old country stores in the country had so much to commend the rural way of Life.

Definitely one of the rudest locations I’ve been to. If you’re washing your dog, be prepared for the manager to abruptly interrupt you and remind you that there’s a 15 minute limit when you’re five minutes into washing your 70 pound dog to accommodate another customer

Bought a ‘commercial grade’ hose in March, expecting the more expensive one would hold up better in my yard. In late June it cracked and developed a hole. Went back to return it and they wouldn’t accept it as it was past the 30 day time period, even though it was faulty. Suggested I ‘check the box’ for warranty info—who keeps a hose box?? I spent thousands there when I had a horse-boarding operation and I could always return stuff-guess they don’t care about long term relationships any more-Lowe’s and HD are right down the street, SS no more!!

I purchased a 50 lb bag of pigeon food - the bag said satisfaction guaranteed - apparently, SS does not feel they are responsible for backing up the guarantee. I did open the pigeon food bag so, SS said they cannot refund since the bag is open. I could've purchased this product from Chewy but wanted to support SS. Chewy would've gladly refunded my money. As much as I enjoy this store, I'll take my business elsewhere, like Chewy.
