DO NOT GO TO THIS VET OR THE GROOMER INSIDE! Our dog got groomed there and in the car on the way home had breathing issues and coughing up blood. This wasn't his vet, he was only there to get groomed, but due to the emergency situation and his being across town, my mom turned the car around and went back to Winterfield vet for immediate help. They were barely sympathetic and were not giving her answers. He unfortunately passed away under their care, still with no TRUE answers to what happened that day (at the groomer) to on set this emergency. Upon his passing, she requested his patient paperwork to try to decipher herself to see what happened. When she got the paperwork, they had fabricated it! Saying he "went to their groomer the week before" and then just had breathing issues that began at home, the day he passed away, after "going to the groomer a whole week prior" -- which is wrong. She questioned it and they claimed they put the wrong date and acted d**** yet everything else was accurate on the records expect this crucial piece of info. NO NO NO. He went to the groomer then had the issues and then immediately was taken to the vet. They were clearly trying to cover something up to protect their groomer's mistakes. Please, do not take your pets to their groomer. And please do not take them to this vet who is willing to lie and fabricate patient's records to cover their mistakes.

I would give 10 stars if I could. We have taken our labradoodle to these wonderful people for 14 years. He was so loved and cared for by everyone from the front desk, the groomers (LOVE Gayla!!!), the Vet Techs (esp Hillary and Lydia) and the vets (esp Dr. White and Dr Willis)!! They are all so patient and take the time to listen and offer their expertise with compassion. Their Jobs are not easy a lot of days and often they are met with emotional pet family members who take out their fears and frustrations on them. I have witnessed how much they care very much for each animal that comes through the door and strive to give the very best care they can. I would highly recommend them!!!

I was really hoping for a great experience but sadly it was far from it. I scheduled a morning drop off for a procedure that required anesthesia. I picked my 75 lb dog up after work as scheduled only to find that he was completely soaked in urine. He was left in a kennel for far too long laying in his own urine. He was given IV fluids during his stay and they should have known he'd have needed to relieve himself multiple times throughout the day. They gave a standard apology and told me an office manager would be in touch. No one ever called. Not even to follow up to see how he was doing. I also completed their automated email survey, which was a waste of time as that didn't get a response either. This place is in it for the money, that's it.

I would NOT recommend this veterinary office. My dogs have been patients for almost a decade. Most recently, my Frenchie was recommended for a surgery that was not needed. I had been assured surgery was absolutely crucial and encouraged to cut my vacation short to bring her home for it. My dog was cut open for what turned out to be an unnecessary surgery and ultimately resulted in no real diagnosis. The doctor tried to backtrack and say the surgery was "exploratory"; however, that had NEVER been communicated to me. Then, to top it off, the Office Manager, Lindsey Brown, called me to discuss the bill and was rude, disrespectful and completely unprofessional. I moved my dogs to a different local practice.

This is a terrible place. Dr Willis is incapable of diagnosing anything. I don't believe he could diagnose a gun shut wound to the head. After spending $450 with this imbecile and he had absolutely NO answers I asked what I should do?? The dog had stopped eating, had not eaten in 3 days. He told me to put the food in a blender and force it down her throat. I have a list of 5 very accomplished Vets that are appalled by those comments. I was told by the Miami Zoo Vet that you should never force food on a sick dog. This Willis imbecile told me the next step is exploratory surgery. Thankfully I am intelligent enough not to listen to imbeciles and would never do that. I drove 35 minutes to where I used to live to my old Vet. She diagnosed the dog in 10 minutes with NO further tests. As she said to me "that was easy". Thankfully Ginger is eating and back to normal no thanks to this idiot

Kimberly is an amazing groomer and I won't take Luna anywhere else now!! We had our first check up with Winterfield recently and I was very pleased overall with the first visit. The staff are all very knowledgeable and provided great recommendations. I am glad I switched from Banfield!

I will never come here again. Staff was very nice but the Veterinarian kept telling me the obvious. Paid 100 bucks for someone to tell me something I knew before I walked in the door. The doctor also came in without any help and he barely touched my dog, didn't take a temp, didn't check her heart beat, or anything. Coming from someone who used to work at an animal hospital, I was not impressed at all.

I recently booked a grooming at Winterfield veterinary hospital for my 14 year old chiweenie who is a patient of theirs. I have had dogs groomed at other places before. I was required to get a bordello shot even though the vet said he didn't need one unless I boarded him. I was also required to get a fecal test all to get him groomed . They also charge extra to nail clipping and to clean his anal glands which always had been included in his grooming. Needless to say this grooming was extremely expensive and they didn't do a very good job. It was tip off and I will never take him three again. They are an extremely expensive vet and run unnecessary tests. I will never bring another dog to them again

The reptile vet is wonderful! Best in the state with reasonable pricing! I will definitely be taking all my scaly children here.

Dr. Willis did both of our dog's knee surgeries. We actually switched practices after the first surgery because we were so impressed with his expertise and his genuinely kind nature. The entire staff has this same kind and caring quality and it is reflected in our dog's relative ease heading into the vet. We drive further to get to Winterfield but it is worth it. Dr. Willis also diagnosed an underlying issue we were unaware of. We can now see the difference in our dog's vibrancy and overall well-being now that this deficiency has been corrected. Definitely feel five-stars on this one!

I've been to several vets who supposedly specialize in exotics and avian medicine. I spent over $2000 on my Amazon parrot and 3 vets could not get results. I made an appointment with Winterfield after I found April Rice's name on an avian forum. She was very good with Taylor and knowledgeable about the sinus and air sac problem he was having. She really impressed me as someone who knew about avian medicine. She took her time and explained several options for treatment. Taylor is making an improvement on the medicine and she wants a follow up in one month. Most other vets want to follow up every week or two because parrots generate a lot of revenue for their business. If April Rice gets Taylor healthy, I plan on giving her 4 more patients - I have 3 Amazon and 2 African Gray parrots. The charges were very reasonable compared to what most vets charge for birds.

We love Winterfield Veterinary Hospital, we have been going there for more than 6 years and all 3 of our babies get care here. As always Dr. Willis took good care of our little Cupcake. Thank you!
