Horrible Pharmacy service. Indian (male) pharmacist is extremely rude!! Will never go back there. Zero stars.

It seems like lately that are about 0 for 4 when it comes to actually having the medication we need in stock. Sadly, this is my insurance company's preferred pharmacy so it's cheaper to go here, but I'm about to switch and just pay more.
Additionally, you now no longer have the option to speak with a live person if you try to call. You have to leave a message for a call back. Even the call back system is finnicky and usually kicks me out before I can even leave a message.

Granted the store may be understaffed at times (as are many stores these days), but we are quite pleased with all the people who do work here. They are friendly and help you as best they can. I think the 1/2 hour lunch is a good and necessary break for them. We do forget the time occasionally, but just go back later after completing other errands. We do live nearby which makes it easier, but I can understand the inconvenience it may be for people who don’t. The best solution is to memorize the time for the 1/2 hour break.
These people are hard workers and we have never experienced any rudeness. In fact, people here endeavor to be as helpful as possible.

Horrible customer service. Whenever you call you can never speak to a live person. You are constantly transferred to leave a message

They have been short staffed for far too long. At this point it has to be corporate greed by keeping expenses (i.e., salaries) low by not staffing adequately. Then, yesterday when I tried to call about a medication they had to order (as I was advised to do when I dropped the script off), I had to leave a voice mail then waited 2 hours for Emily to call back to just inform me I had to call other CVS stores to see if they had it in stock. She stated they don't call other CVS's and at most I could see if it arrived on the Monday shipment. Yet when I dropped it off the gentleman working the drive-thru said they could/would. So, now I'm over 24 hours past when I should have taken this med that insurance won't allow to be filled until the 11th hour. CVS knows about that yet could care less I've run out. That's possibility the scariest part. Lack of caring if someone runs out of a medication. Do you really want that type of pharmacy as part of your "medical care"? I don't. So, rather than calling other CVS's I'll be calling other pharmacies to transfer the few scripts I had left at CVS. I refuse to participate in their corporate greed, conflicting guidance from staff, no assurance meds are being ordered timely, over worked staff, etc. Will also be calling CVS corporate. Zero expectations that will do anything, but as someone who has worked in "corporate America" for over 20 years I know they at least have to document it.

This pharmacy is fast and efficient. Daneya is the best pharmacy technician. She is so nice, and helpful! I’ve never met someone at the pharmacy as nice as she is! I will ask for her every time I visit

Horrible customer service on pharmacy side. No acknowledgement from staff for 5 minutes while I was waiting at the counter (only one in line and no drive thru customers). I understand they are short staffed, but a “hey, I will be with you in a moment or I’m sorry for the wait,” goes a long way. Disappointing.

Absolutely the worst CVS I have been to. Pharmacist was cursing at fellow employees, slamming the phone down, screaming at customers and not willing at all to help the customers with orders. Store said she was a contractor (Kara) and would not give her full name out. We use to love the staff but this is awful. I will be reporting to the State board of Pharmacy.

I only use this pharmacy because it's the preferred pharmacy for my insurance. Prescriptions would cost more if I went to the pharmacy I prefer. There is only one woman that I have encountered in this pharmacy who is friendly and helpful. The other pharmacy techs that I have dealt with have been neither friendly or helpful. From my experience, they will only refill a prescription one day before it's due. They have told me it's what my insurance company says and they can't refill any sooner. I believe it's their system that sets refills one day before they are due. My previous pharmacy would refill my prescriptions 5 days prior to when the refill is due. I haven't changed insurance companies so CVS should also be able to refill a prescription 5 days early. Today, I tried to get a prescription refilled and was told I couldn't because the insurance company says it can't be done yet, 4 days prior to being due. I transferred the prescription to a different pharmacy, and they filled it today.

I transferred my medication to this pharmacy CVS in Moseley on hull st because Anthem would no longer let patients use this other pharmacy I was using. There I had issues with getting my meds my doctors had to call repeatedly it was awful. So I went to the CVS on Hull St but when I called in to check on my meds Earnest would say they didn’t have them so there was nothing they could do. So I go get a print out of my meds from old pharmacy who would not re fax them because they had confirmation. So I go to this CVS and get to the counter and Earnest spoke up and said to me there was nothing he could do for me he never came to the counter he kept working then Chris spoke up and said what do you want us to do I said my pharmacy sent over my prescriptions and I need them filled he said again there was nothing they could do for me. I started to cry I had been without my meds for two weeks on some of them. Some were 3 heart medications, diabetes medication, neuropathy medication, I’m on a medication for Sjogrens disease which I was having bad flares this is an autoimmune disease, I have thyroid medication, asthma medications, medication for tremors and I could go on and on. I kept saying excuse me what do you mean you can’t help me? Chris stood back doing his work and says what do you want don’t you see we are busy and don’t have to put all your medications in. Then a guardian angel came to the counter and they had overheard everything I just kept saying how can you tell a customer you can’t help me because you’re too busy? You can’t do that and that is just WRONG! But this guardian angel I won’t call any names overheard and came to me and said this is wrong how you are being treated and slid me a piece of paper with a number and name. People the manager of the store is right at the front door on the outside of the building and when I contacted him he went to the back and all of a sudden they find my scripts and started filling them. But the store manager took immediate action telling me Earnest was a floater so he’ll be dealt with and that he wouldn’t be back. We’ll Earnest is still there he also told me Chris was full time he would be dealt with immediately. Both of these individuals are still there if you can’t get help call the store manager or the pharmacy manager. I’ve been back since and Chris has been much nicer just short but he remembers me by name now. The next time I have an issue I will let my doctors handle or I’ll make Anthem aware of how I can’t get my medication because nobody I mean NOBODY should ever be treated this way. I forgot to mention one time I had Earnest on the phone and he specifically told me he’s too busy to punch in all my medications and hung up on me. I was never rude at all to these people I just simply said I’ve been waiting two weeks and they still hadn’t had time because according to Earnest they are short handed and didn’t have time. I hope CVS reads this. I have sent something to Headquarters of CVS about this issue. My daughter is a nurse for VCU and they can’t use anyone but CVS and she worked for HCA for about 11 years they too only use CVS. If enough people call your insurance company or report to your doctors believe me something will happen. I had so many issues at my last pharmacy and got my doctors involved and next thing I know I got a letter stating Anthem would no longer do business with that establishment for whatever reason. CVS has an enormous amount of hospitals that only use them so you’d think they would staff better with all the business being brought to them. To the manager of this location Jeff Barringer I hope your reading this and hope I have no more issues moving forward. The other staff at this location has been super nice and helpful and I thank those people for your service. I know you Earnest and Chris must be overwhelmed with work but you need not take it out on the customer we bring you the business that ultimately signs your paychecks. You never know what some people are going through. I now have no issues. The other staff ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️

Would rate a ZERO if possible. Store calls and says prescription is ready and when I
drive an hour they say it will be an hour or tomorrow... Doc called in meds and after driving an hour, they said it would be another hour to pull a box and label. Didn't even have to count pills... Horrible. Walgreens was better but not on my insurance... bring back RiteAid.

This pharmacy will do the least amount needed. I gave them my prescription for refill and they said the insurance info was wrong. I had my ID card that was current. Long story short they didn't do what every other pharmacy does and contact the pharmacy insurance to get the last two digits for pharmacy codes. When I called my provider, they said that usually the pharmacy inquires to get the code, not the patient. The pharmacy does what little it has to.

don’t come here for the pharmacy – they’re rude and don’t care about your time. It’s not just the Cvs, they have all gone downhill the past 6 months.
