Traveling from DC on route 11 one late afternoon .. stop by the Longs Antique Shop for quick visit .. on my Right up the drive stands this lovely huge old brick Historic Home with a lovely long yard with a wrap around porch to oversee Spring Hay Growing in the fields ... towards the backside of the home the Antique Shop is in full site.. to see a large porch with a selection of iron garden fences, iron urns .. along with primitive furniture once entering the shop..I could not believe the selection of antiques furniture in old paint, old finish, .. Corner cupboards, Pie Safes, Blankets Chest etc just unbelievable ....looking on top , inside and around the furniture you will view the most beautiful decorated valley stoneware and between all the stoneware are local Baskets .. I could not believe under one roof all these lost treasures of the Shenandoah Valley.. Furniture decorated with accessories to move directly into your home ...the shop is professional decorated with love .. I could have spent hours looking, studying the information on each item..Of course I bought several crocks for my home.. this was a true experience of walking back into time ..so many great pieces of furniture, decorated stoneware, Baskets and gardening decorations in one stop..

This is true "antique" store. Pleasant staff including the kitties. A great stop for crocks and furniture. This is not a flea market style shop if that is what you are looking for.

For the TRUE, PURIST, serious Antiquer, who lives for uncovering the rare, elusive and actual antique shop (and not the typical “antique flea market”) this is it. Do you LOVE primitives and country pieces? If so, you’ve found it. 100% of this shop’s contents fall into just two categories: 1.) PIE SAFES, and 2.) STONEWARE crocks, jars and churns. And in both cases, these are absolute top-of-the-line , high-end pieces, including one-of-a-kind pie safes, and including some of the most beautiful, cobalt-infused and signed stoneware in existence! An absolute “can’t miss” for the few of us who still live for real Antiques! Truly museum-quality. Oh, and, no one is more friendly and enjoyable than Allison, and her Shop Cat, Alley!

Alison and Burt are lovely people with absolutely stunning antiques. Got to see Stripper on his last day with customers (I don't think it's Chipper as another user mentioned btw- ha). Sweet boy.

Open daily 10-5 except Sunday . This is on Route 11 . Beautiful historical home on top of a hill and the antique store is in the back. Plenty of pieces to look at right out front of the shop iron beds , shelves, cast iron urn planters , wooden head and foot boards , desks , and so much more inside . This is an Antique shoppers dream . Pieces dating back to the 1800's . Mrs. Long an antique herself,(I mean this with the upmost respect ) preserved perfectly. Her blonde hair carefully set in place , lipstick on, sitting behind the counter reading her paper . Sitting as still as a mannequin . She glances up over her glasses to greet anyone entering . Upon entering you will find wall to wall beautiful furniture , trunks , stoneware jugs, quilts , crochet dollies , dishes and much much more . This is the real deal of antiques . Pull out the credit card some of the prices start at $900.00 and go up from there . Mrs. Long says she's been in the Antique business since the 60's and her son Burt has been buying since he was 12 years old . She has passed her antique buying and dealing know how onto her son Burt . He is the one buying all the genuine pieces here now . He buys at least one piece a week . Family owned businesses are great . Mrs. Long still lives here in the property. Very nice lady . Oh and make sure you give Chipper a scratch behind the ears . He's the white and black cat keeping all the mice away .
