They confirmed my current pregnancy, introduced me to some of their amazing programs that they offer and also gave me helpful information to help me throughout my pregnancy. “This place is amazing. I found a kitten in a bush a few years ago, and No More Chasin’ Tails was recommended as a low-cost spay/neuter clinic. I wasn’t sure if the kitten wanted to be feral, but I wanted to get him taken care of regardless.

It took about 3 months to get an appointment, and wouldn’t you know- the week before, he escaped outside. I tried hard to catch him but ended up having to cancel. I was bummed about waiting another 3 months, but the clinic staff were so supportive and kind that they offered me a different slot just a week later… and I caught my kitten! Well, actually, he wandered back on his own. Guess he didn’t want to be feral after all. :)

For reference, my total was $130 for everything, including the neuter ($60) with a limited exam, plus optional rabies, FVRCP, bloodwork, and microchip.

It’s understandable that a low-cost spay/neuter clinic would be extremely busy, but they truly do everything they possibly can given the volume. Don’t call, just email. They monitor emails for urgency and are very responsive. They also have great resources on their website and clear directions in their auto-replies for most scenarios, including one of the easiest records portals I’ve ever used.

After the neuter, they gave me an on-call number to text with any questions or concerns. It never felt like an assembly-line clinic. You can tell that Dr. Lindsay Califf and the staff genuinely care about animals and work very hard to serve the community.

My only suggestion would be an illustrated map with landmarks because it can be a little hard to find at first. Once you turn off Warwick, it might feel like you took a wrong turn, but keep going. You’ll find it!”

She finds/sells quality furniture, creates a great atmosphere, and goes above and beyond to help anyone who crosses her threshold! If you’re in Newport News or even driving through, make sure you make a stop”

“I would like to share how amazing the swimming instructors are at this YMCA . I watch them every time my two boys go in for their swimming lessons. They really care, they make sure the kids feel safe and feel comfortable while they are in the water during their sessions and that the kids are being safe and listening to their directions. Ms. Julie the swim lesson coordinator, made sure to put my two boys Christian and Braylon with whom she felt will tailor to their needs. I love how they work as a team. Cera and Andrea are my boys instructors and they both go over and beyond to assure they learn how to swim and are comfortable enough to move to the next level. With them teaching my boys how to swim they now have confidence and want to do it again and again. I will be signing them up for more sessions and hopefully we get the same instructor being they are awesome and my boys are familiar with them. I thank them every time the session is over. I can’t wait until the next session start. I recommend going to this YMCA to get swimming lessons .”

“Tonight my daughter and I had a harrowing experience after being followed by a customer who was taking illegal videos of us in the store without consent.
We alerted staff and they immediately ran into action to make sure this creepy guy was handled in the most effective way.
Isabella and Andre did an incredible job of not only making sure the situation was handled properly but also making sure that we were safe.
Andre even escorted us to the car after.
I cannot commend these employees enough for assuring us with their words and also taking the actions needed to make sure the man left the premises.
I am so thankful for their help during this scary experience.”

“Food was good, service there with the service officer there is very helpful. People are friendly. Staff at the bar was like you can't stay unless someone signs you in( I'm a disabled veteran USMC ) you have to be a member (the bartender doesn't know me obviously.) So I got my service officer to sign me in. Needlessly to say, I saw an old musical friend there. And well I play music myself and to see this person was quite a bit of a shock, to say the least.”

“Having had an unplanned pregnancy as a young woman I know the fear of making the life changing decision to become a single parent. Without the support of the child’s father I thank God for all the provisions that my Heavenly Father made for me. My testimony is that I never had to take a dollar from my child’s father to help raise him, but what about women who don’t have that option! Having financial support is vital! Thank you Care Net for being pro life not just in word but in deed!”
