I have been shopping here for a few years and would always see this hardworking person eager to provide assistance. I finally asked his name but while asking, I saw his name, Chris Stevey. Mr. Chris Stevey would make a great manager at any of Habitat's locations including the one in Newport News, Virginia. He really deserves a bonus award every year. He makes this store look exceptional in regards to service.

I donated an easy chair . First time I had ever been there. I was so surprised at what they had in the store and I hadn't even seen everything. I was very pleased . The young man there was so helpful and polite. He gave me a business card and I was able to call and set up a pickup . Very helpful.

Great place to get inexpensive supplies if you are doing any work on your home. The rock/ stone place next door has all different kinds of stone for your outdoor projects

There's quite a variety of items here. Anywhere from appliances, doors, windows, dishes, paints, furniture, lighting, office/school supplies, but no clothing.Pricing was across the board. There's new items that are priced about the same as purchasing it at a retail store. I didn't really see any priced item that shouted "Wow, that's a great price. I should buy it"People there were friendly and readily available to help. It's located in what looks like could have been an old KMart, as there's an outdoor area that houses their Stone Quarry.

What a hidden gem! Prices on furniture and appliances are awesome, and I found great bargains on holiday items and smaller stuff, much of it brand new. You also feel good shopping there knowing your money supports a great cause — Habitat houses that are sold to local families. Just go! You'll be glad you did!

I truly can't say enough positive things about the Newport News ReStore! There is always something new to see when I visit. I love that there are new items, gently used items and items that need a little TLC and to be reimagined for a new life! And that's just the shopping side...the biggest reason I love shopping here is because of the mission of Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg! This is always my first stop when doing home projects!

I shop at restore ALL the time(weekly)even though some of the prices are getting a bit high with some merchandise I wanted to let it be known that Chris(associate) is very helpful and friendly! He shows skills of a manager! He is always positive, willing to make the Situation right, always speaks when eye contact is made. He is one of the reasons I return to shop. You will always see Chris performing his duties and or Helping customers even while doing so. Micky is always Very helpful and friendly. They both should be awarded and recognized of their hard work. I say this with much respect Because normally I’m not a person that takes time to write reviews but customer service is not like it use to be but these guys have sure showed me that there are some awesome customer service left in this world

First let me say I understand what the mission is of the Restore.....however y'all need to work on your pricing. I went to two other restores today on the Southside and their prices blew y'all's out the water. We have been to the Newport News Restore almost weekly looking for furniture and everytime we find overpriced, broken, worn out stuff. We were at the Norfolk Restore today and found an almost brand new sofa there for 89.00! The cushions were so thick they didn't even look like they were sat on.We then stopped into the Newport News one to see if we could find a chair and end table. My husband found a reclining loveseat that one side was broken and it was marked 169.00He pointed out to an employee that one side was broke and asked if they could do anything about the price since it was broke. She said nope price will stay at 169.00He then asked about a table with no price. Same lady told him it was sold and the person had until closing to pick it up. So he said in 8 minutes then? She got sassy and said yes honey we close in 9 minutes. As he was leaving the person came back to get the table and your employee said see honey they are here at closing for their table. I will spend my money at the Southside locations since they seem to know how to price their stuff and let me tell you they were both busy and stuff was flying out the door.I remember seeing tables from target in your store. Yes they were new but y'all were pretty much asking what target sold them for on sale. They were donated and y'all would sell a lot more stuff if you priced it to move.
