I opened an account last week online thinking this was a real account that I was opening, but it was a digital account where I can only do deposits by direct deposit and use the debit Visa card for purchases. The ATM card does not work at the Primis ATM, and when I went inside the branch to do a cash deposit from a holiday gift, I found out that to do cash deposits I would need a “real” account in the branch itself. While they were able to finally figure out how to make the deposit to my fake, I mean digital account, I was asked if I wanted to open a real account in the branch. Why? This was a horrible experience and the difference between the fake, I mean digital bank account, and an actual account was not clear online. I’ve never had a banking experience like this one, and so noticed that while I was at the location, there weren’t any other customers inside or at the drive thru. Not a good sign.

Horrible from SonaBank to now Primis.It's totally upsetting due to the fact the sales rep who "sold me" on the thought to join did a fantastic job!I join and ????The customer service- no (outside of 1 rep). Management- nope.Service- forget it.Then they change "hands" and I was holding my breath for better service :) - forgetta 'bout it.Website, app, and all above- nope.Account Closed.

Took them a payroll check with their bank name on it for them to cash. They told me they couldn’t cash the check because the systems were down. Useless. No wonder that place is always a ghost town. Teller was atleast friendly. But friendly doesn’t cash checks.

I have/had a loan with Sonabank. I will never do it again! I received a late payment penalty and couldn't figure out why. It apparently took approx two weeks from the time I requested electronic payment for the money to be posted to my account (1 week mail, 1 week posting). Although this was the first late payment in over a year and an unreasonable amount of time at that, they would not adjust the fees. I paid attention the next month and found the date I received the bill was two weeks later than the date on their letter. I requested the payment same day. I got charged with another late fee. Called them -they couldn't have cared less. Today I got a call from the office that this month's bill was returned to them. She says the post office dated the return 2/16 (today is 26th). I was told even though I am requesting payment right now I will be charged the late fee. Seems to me the company is setting up its customers to be charged added fees. I have refinanced and the account should be closed later this week. Good riddance. Never again.

Wonderful service at this bank. Have been with them for 2 years now and my husband and I are very happy with our account, the services offered, and the smiling faces at our ‘hometown' kind of bank.

I do not even want to give a one !! I don't typically write reviews but in this case it is definitely needed to warn others to stay away . We recently took a loan out on a lot for building purposes . It is difficult to find those loan structures now I have found out even with good credit banks have gone away from them. We started the process with a rep (will not mention names). We were misinformed from the start on how the loan was structured ! Being that we did not have much time and also the lack of banks that do these loans we continued the process so we would not loose the land. We were misinformed three times during this process and feel the representative has no idea how to do her job. The rep could not even explain the closing /settlement statement to us and why the amounts were totally different from the initial meeting . Long story short ended up costing us about ten more thousand dollars . If you want competence and honesty I would suggest staying away from this bank . I hope this save someone the stress and burden that we had to endure .
